Now that would have a good line to add in for Louise not care about her nephew or when he was a kid rather I never thought about that until now, but it makes sense especially for her and I like that idea they should have put that explanation in.

Well now that you put it that way I can see your point and I agree I don’t know why they went there either because the kid is gone now, I admit that is weird. Maybe we’ll see Caleb later on it’s possible there has to be a reason they did this storyline.

But the thing is Louise mentioned she wasn’t really close with the other brother at all and so I can’t really blame her for reacting the way she did, but I’ll admit I wondered why she was acting like that once she heard the news of his death, but once I heard her mention not being close with her brother because of his issues then I understood. 🤷‍♀️

Loved having and seeing Louise back again for her first episode of season 5!! ❤️ I really missed her.

That too yes even though she has recovered from the accident now, but it wasn’t even her fault either.

Well here's the thing though Katey begged the producers not to give Dan another girlfriend when she was doing Rebel and plus she loves being on The Conners and loves her character and Dan together just because she's busy doesn't mean she doesn't love Dan & her character or the show or that she doesn't want to do it anymore if she didn't she wouldn't have been coming back time after time and wouldn't have begged the writers/producers to stay nor fought for her character, so having another actress play Louise is probably never gonna happen, but I understand your frustration about her not being there all the time because I feel the same way as I love Louise in addition as I've said countless times before she's still on reoccurring status at this time and so is Louise so she's not going to be in every episode.

She'll be back in 5x04 which airs October 12th 🙂 Katey was busy with other projects this time around in fact I'm sure of it, but she'll be back in 5x04 which airs on the 12th. Katey is still on reoccurring status so she's not going to be in every episode, but I understand your frustration about her not appearing all the time as I feel the same way, but we can't really do anything about that unless Katey makes a definite decision about wanting to be becoming a main cast member which I'm hoping she will soon, but who knows because it's her choice and I guess she doesn't want to be at this time.

I just find it a bit conflicting and confusing because at first the producers mentioned they asked Katey and she said she wasn't sure she wanted to be in the opening much less a main cast member, but then last year they mentioned they'd have to put her in them IF they had to update?? 🤷‍♀️ That's the parts I'm having trouble with...which one is it?

That could be yes, but I've seen tons of people practically begging for her to be in them and also want her upped to a main cast member so.. me included, it's her choice, but I was just saying it's been done before where it wouldn't hurt her to be in the opening and a cast member that's all. If she's happy then...we'll just have accept it. 🤷‍♀️

From my understanding they asked Katey about that last season and she said she's not sure she wants to be a main cast member and in the opening so what I gathered is she's not exactly saying yes, but not exactly saying no, but on the other hand the producers talked about it again before the credits were updated and mentioned they'd have to put her in them, so I don't know at this point it's conflicting and confusing information in my opinion right now. Here's what was said back in October of last year: “We really haven’t changed or altered those in any way [since Season 1],” executive producer Bruce Helford acknowledged during an October 2021 interview with TVLine, shortly after Dan married Louise. “Honestly, I imagine if we did alter them, we would be including [Katey Sagal].” But alas, Sagal is still not a series regular. So yeah I think they could have put her in them IF they had wanted too...somehow and I get Katey wanting to do other projects, but it's done before where you can be in the opening of a show, but do other things as well that wouldn't stop her. I've heard nothing about that so I'm most likely just a rumor at this point because from what I understanding the ratings are still good and it's still ABC's top show.

Well I've finally updated my story again with some new chapters!! I'm proud of myself because it took a while, but it was worth it at least in my opinion.

Season 5 Spoilers: The Conners Season 5 Introducing New Family Member,

Well my chapter is going great still as I've been writing a lot on it, but my issue is I don't know how I want to end the chapter though I have a few ideas I guess, but it's not a done deal type of thing and the chapter is already pretty lengthy at the moment, so I'm frustrated a bit.

I too have done this, but I'm conflicted after I read I don't hate it, but I also feel weird too I'd rather read something that's not my own and new especially with the couple I'm writing for at the moment. I'm not saying I'm not a great writer I think I'm, but since this couple I'm into doesn't have a lot of stories writing on them as it's hard to read my own story when it's really the only that's there that's a main focus and not just a short drabble or one shot which all of them are except for mine.

I've been able to get out of my motivation funk that I've been in for months now and get some more writing done on my chapter I've stalled on so I'm glad about that because this has been the longest break I've taken on the story since I started it a few years ago. The chapter isn't by any means finished, but it's progress and getting there slowly and hopefully will be finished ASAP.

I've definitely heard that before and you're right it doesn't help when the couple/pairings/ship you love isn't written much if at all by others and I for sure love feedback especially the great comments which I have gotten thank goodness, but since I haven't updated in a while the comments haven't been there, but that said when I do update a few of my readers will be happy I think it's just I wish I didn't have to do the fanfiction all alone if that makes sense I feel I'm all alone with and it doesn't help that basically all of the people who wrote for this couple I'm writing on now are gone from FFN so it's very frustrating for me in those terms as well.

I don't know if I'd want to go into the fandom simply because I'm one that gets into a fandom and then I'll gravitate towards the non popular/underrated characters or in this case the couple (if there is one) and then if I were to write something on them then the issues would start all over again with lack of motivation after a while and everything I'm going through now with the couple I'm writing if I were one that loved all of the popular ships/couples/pairing then I think I'd be more happy to join some new fandoms, but that's not the case I've always been one to go towards the unpopular/underrated couples/ships/pairings it's just the way I've always been don't know why it's just the way I'm so I don't think going into a new fandom for me would work in my case, plus I love the couple I'm writing for anyway. My fandom I'm writing is pretty active it's just the couple I'm writing for that isn't that's my problem.

I know how you feel trust me, I feel your pain. I'm going through the same thing with my multi chaptered long fic I'm writing at the moment. I'm kind of stalled on it I know where I want it to go and all, but my motivation isn't there and I would delete it, but I have a few readers still so I don't want to do that to them and I do want to finish it so I'm gonna keep on trying I at least have one chapter done, it's just the other one and plus I've been distracted for a while now with something else which I love doing as well. I hope I can somehow get my motivation back somehow, but with the fandom and the couple I ship it's hard because they aren't popular and so underrated and the more popular couple who gets all the amazingly written fanfiction is the couple I hate which doesn't help my get my motivation back either because every time I go onto FFN that couple is all I see and it makes me sad and angry they get all of the great fanfiction while my couple hasn't really gotten any just one shots and just a few drabbles - save mine, it's really the first and only story that has my couple as the main focus.

I was in the SVU for quite a while years in fact, but not anymore and trust me when I tell you there was a lot of nastiness there too and I definitely experienced shipping wars and all that you mention in your post. That said I think every fandom has the drama and toxicity it just depends on the fandom and whose in it I think there could be less or more.

I too don't like self insert stories either and as @Annber03 said I don't mind others reading them or writing them. I also don't particularly love OC fics either - again I don't judge nor mind others writing them and I think some are fun. The only time I ever use OC's is if they are absolutely needed or for a plot device in like just to move a storyline/scene along, but as for doing a full on OC character(s) like for stories no I can't do it and won't mainly because I don't think I could do them justice and I don't have that kind of imagination as others seem to do. As for reading OC's yes I have and will sometimes, but I'm definitely not obsessed with them at all by any means and self inserts no I've definitely never read any and I don't plan on it anytime soon.
