  1. Which is a shame since she is the clearest legacy character left: The Granddaughter of Steve Hardy....You remember Steve right Ron the man on whom this show was built. A doctor with character and morals, played by a man who had the same fiber....You remember Ron, Steve Hardy the man you shit on every single day that DrO sits in his seat. yeah Liz is His Grand daughter. Sorry Dr O in Steve's chair just makes this old time fan sick
  2. Hmmm...Okay my mind just went silly but if LL is a chef why can't Georgie be one as well, and a spy on the side. Then instead of losing GH ABC actually gives it another hour: The first hour is the show as we know it , but it bleeds into a show within a show Daytime talk feast a la the Chew and the View: LL as Georgie, giving cooking tips, NLG as Alexis with legal advice, LC as Monica with Medical advice and LH as Lucy with cosmetic beauty advice and to stir the pot. Real Guest Stars mingle in with Guest from the show: So Patrick is on talking about advances in Brian Surgery while Rick Springfield is on hawking his concert tour. "Man you look so much like my Dad it's scary" "If you were my kid I'd tell you to keep in it your pants and go look for your wife." I'd rather watch that than the hens on the View.
  3. It has struck me that as Guza and Ron have killed off Q after Q (and the real grim reaper helped taking Edward and Lilia) that as a group they have become nicer and nicer. Oh they snark and fight, and say mean things to each other, but when they are on screen now the remaining Q's (sans Michael for the moment) seem to be better people: Monica, Ned and Tracy are all much nicer versions of what they once were. I do not know if this in intentional or not, but it just seems the Q's have grown as people. I would love a scene where Ned and Tracy (who were more ruthless than Monica, who was really just a serial cheater) sit with Michael and say "look this is what we once were, we're better than that now. You can make this family much better" (Then Dylan walks in and says "and I can help you" ) I also wonder if this is what is fundamentally wrong with Sonny and Carly they are not growing into better people. Soap Villains use to either grow or die: Lucy, Bobbie, Scotty were all once villains and all grew to be better, if flawed people. Sonny and Carly do not grow they still act like children and the writers want us as adults to condone that.
  4. Maybe the anniversary reveal will be that Jason is still a prisoner of Helene and He and Robin finally escape. They head to Port Charles to confront Jake who is revealed to be......................................................... Lucky? Ethan? Jimmy Lee Holt Jr.?........................or AJ it would be awesome if that was who RB was playing
  5. Yes it would mean that Ron could not have his hand in everything, but he could keep control of the transitional arches. And I see two differences between PC, the stories would not veer as far from traditional soaps as PC, no vampires, werewolves and such because that brings characters to a place they cannot come back from, and this would be one of the "Editors" (Ron) jobs to make sure no character behaved in way that was out of character without explanation and no character could suddenly go too far from who they are: Sonny could be a mobster, even a killer, but a writer could not suddenly make him gay: Sonny has a long time reputation as a womanizer and so a writer doing an arch on him could not go far afield. Similarly Lucas could not suddenly be straight. A Mac arch would not allow for Mac to become a serial rapist, and other examples The other big difference from PC is that the archs should overlap. Sonny and Jason can be involved in a mob war, which would at least attract Anna's attention and so she would appear in the arch but at the same time she is tied to an espionage arch involving the return of Dominic Taub or something. I know Ron likes his umbrella stories but there is no reason for ALL stories to be umbrella. Again like comic books have "Crossovers" So would the archs, maybe during sweeps
  6. Sonny is a child molester Karen was underage. I hate that this show forgets Karen
  7. This made me ponder/ I wonder if Daytime Soaps should not take a page from Comic Books. As the Graphic Novel has taken over the industry has moved more and more towards the idea that a writer can come in and write a story and then move on. The editor hold what little continuity is left. DC is with its Convergence storyline about to revamp its entire line along this way. Now some writers stay for long stretches (like say Bendis on Avengers) others come in write a story and go. Maybe a pool of writers could do this on a Soap. So maybe Sri wants to write another Scorpio Story, he comes in and does that, using Mac, Felecia, Anna, Robin and Patrick he crafts one. Meanwhile Guza (I know its an example bear with me) writes a mob story for Sonny, Ric and Jason and Sam, maybe some body wants to do a medical story they can do that. Ron can write for Franco, Geary could even have done the Fluke Story (I can't help but think it would have been better if he did) With the vast majority of GH's large cast in recurring and block taping, all that would be needed is a continuity editor to keep things rolling. Don't like what is on the screen? Don't want to watch Sonny and Carly? Wait for it in a week or two they will cycle out, or better in a day or two since the block taping could be used to blocks weeks of story and then edit in transitional pieces so each story could be updated at least a little once a week, as opposed to the vanished from screen crap we deal with now
  8. Is cancellation the only end mark that Ron can follow? Soap writers should be able to create artificial end marks, even in long drawn out stories, Look at the old Ice Princesses Caper, or the Aztec Treasurer or the Asian Quarter, or even one of Guza's bad mob stories like the Balkan, all of them went on and on but there where middle of the road end marks that the writers found and used. I think a co-head writer would help Ron find those marks and beats.
  9. I wonder what is going on behind all this. It really seems like every day Ron cares less and less. I was thinking of the Poison water Sage and General Hospital Espionage, and the Introduction of Julian and Ava. All these stories had their flaws, but at least it seemed Ron cared. Now, it is not just that things are bad, it is that things look and feel like no one gives a damn. Yet the Soap Press gives no hints, our own backstage media thread is silent and everyday the show gets worse and worse. I am reminded of Grizabella in Cats : all alone in the moonlight I can smile at the old days I was beautiful then I remember the time I knew what happiness was
  10. This would change the entire tenor of the show. Some how under Guza Jason became the moral center of the GH Universe (It should have IMHO been Lucky and Robin but what the hell it is what it is). I do not see anything in Ron's version that changes that. I think briefly he toyed with the idea of Anna, as the moral center but she is not his cup of tea for whatever reason. If he had managed to hold onto McBain then John would have been the moral center. (You can see this in what was really Ron's opening gambit the poisoned water, where Batman and Robin...oopps I mean McBain and Dante are the heroes, while Jason and Sonny play support) But since the loss of McBain and his unwillingness to write for Nightwing and Robin ,,,,oooppps I mean Dante and Nathan, there has been no moral center. Jason as a good guy, and at the center of every plot gives the powers above Ron and Frank what they want, the legion of Sonnyjason (as if they were one person) fans happy, if confused. It Gives Ron, in Billy Miller, a hunk he can adore and write for. And it corrects the moral universe of GH, as much as we can ever expect it to be corrected by putting a basically good Jason, whose bad guy tendencies prey on his mind, front and center. If I am right watch for Jason to eventually come into contact with Silas and then in conflict with Franco. Giving edge to the Todd/McBain and Steve Burton/James Franco conflicts that Ron so loves.
  11. I wonder if Pat will only be seen in Flashbacks, hence the age difference working
  12. As long as Sonny LOSES custody, I could care less who turns out to be the real father: Morgan, Carlos, Silas, Franco even Richard Simmons (How is he doing btw), what matters is Sonny loses, I know that Ron is turning Michael into AJ, but it seems that he is getting small wins, Sonny out of prison was going to happen and while the pardon was cheesy it was probably the best some one of Ron's limited talent could write anyway. Michael winning custody is awesome no matter WTD
  13. THIS has been what has been needed the Soap Press (even the internet soap press) attacking the foundation of what Ron and Frank are doing, Perhaps this will prompt the real PTB to take some kind of action
  14. I wish they would actually slow this story line down instead of rushing to court. Give it some time to brew and then maybe two or three months from now go into court: Then Michael loses custody, and as Sonny and Carly gloat and Olivia and all the Sonny supporters cheer. Michael, Ned, Tracy and Monica walk up and smile. Michael: "Well you got Avery" Carly begins to crow but Michael holds up his hand Hands Sonny, Carly and Olivia paperwork " But while you were so distracted, ELQ took control of Corthinos Coffee and with Jax's Help the Metro Court Hotel. And Duke has cut a deal with Anna to dismantle the Corinthos Crime Family. oh and Jax now owns your island Sonny. Alexis, I really hated to do this but since you pushed though Sonny's adoption papers of me, even knowing he had hung my father on a meat hook to do so, I've had you disbarred. Avery, Poor thing, I never really wanted her in the first place, though she is a sweet kid so I had her DNA re-tested, She's Morgan's. Sonny you are now the biggest loser."
  15. if only Ron could follow this. GH has far to many kids and Far Far too many babies: Avery, Rocco and soon Olivia's brat. GH needs a purging of its kids, SOAR's Cam, Spencer, Emma and Joss and send them to college or boarding school (Emma and Joss are easy to get rid of: Free Robin and send Joss and Emma to live with her and Jax (who hook up off screen just to fuck Patty and Carly) Spencer can go to boarding school and Cam can age to meet Molly and TJ. Little kid problem solved
  16. Have not seen the episode yet but if Ron was/is respectful, reverent and kind towards Shriner's Children's Hospital than I may forget what an absolute dick he is most of the time and give him some serious props and applause for a shout out to one of the great (along with St. Jude's) Children's care centers in the universe. Any parent who has ever had a sick kid (and I did years and years ago....grew up to be own little Lucky) just has mad respect for the work done there. Hell I may need to open a new twitter account and send Ron some love
  17. That's important? Christ Ron has a strange view of important. The important announcement this show needs to make is that everything from Jason's car accident forward has been a coma illusion and Jason Q will be waking up today.
  18. In fairness to the current kids, I will admit the material on the show over all is well below what it was when Lucky and Robin were young. (For that matter and sorry for the heavy snark here from what I see on other boards and other places the quality of the viewers is way below as well...must say something about society) but that being said, the real problem is the type of material being given. Robin, Lucky, Emily, even young Maxie or Lucas were never asked to play a grand romance before a somewhat appropriate age to do so. Lucky never meet Liz to late in his high school years, and IIRC was a senior before her rape story line. Robin was a junior when she meet Stone, Emily had a school girl crush on the couple of years older Nick. The Maxie, Georgie, Sage, Lucas stuff was all in High School Ron is forcing these little kids to play the story he could be ....should be writing for TJ and Molly. Ron's making these kids play a romance beyond their years is creepy and remains IMHO abusive on a couple of levels. It reeks of Toddlers and Tiaras and makes my skin crawl
  19. See now good soap would be to explain away Nik's bastard state as Stravos Force Laura to marry him (which I think he did) and then at some point soon have Nik actually get married and have a male child. Then quickly SOAR's the kid (Alexi) and have he and Spencer fight for control, one as the legitimate heir the other as the oldest son
  20. Some one make my day tell the little bastard Cassadine died. (BTW why is it acceptable for Nik and Spencer to be Bastard Cassadine Princes but not Alexis and her daughters?)
  21. Why can't RB be Sarah Webber who has become a burn specialist, would that be so friggin hard? And it would fit since Sarah and Nic have a past, and it would be kinda of a Re-Ron from way back when Patrick came onto the show
  22. Aiden is ignored because he is Lucky's the child of a genuine good guy. The same fate will be fall Rocco eventually. Spencer: Father a douche, Mother a Cop Killa, Great Grandma Helene Cassadine Cameron: Father a mob wanna be (as much as I liked Zander) Emma: Father a douche Joss: Shit her mother is Carly Avery: Mobster Mother and Father See the pattern
  23. Does any one else think that the lack of anything Fluke related this week, as very little to do with block taping and everything to do with Ron has no idea what to do next?
