The other thing you have to notice is that the experience levels of the blade-smiths is dropping. Most of the top notch guys/girls in the country have already been on the show. There's not an unlimited supply and now you are getting guys with 3 years of experience because they become a blade-smith after watching season 1 or 2 of the show. I still want to see a special version of the show that pits Jay, David and Ben against each other and let Will and Doug test their knives. You can even bring back Jason Knight for the 4th contestant.

Just an update for those of you who don't follow Sarah on social media. On her Instagram account today, the canvas who got the Clinton tat sent in a picture of the healed tattoo. Wow. Healed up, it looks so much better. She was correct to darken it so much.

I haven't seen any of these people say "my tattoo sucked" on this show. They all think they are the best ever. I am a big fan of Sarah's work but her facial expressions are funny to watch when she is being criticized. I you go back and watch the loft parts from after the tattoo, you can see she knows she is in trouble. You can see her mind racing to come up with something to say back to Cleen and she can't and defaults to the standard mine is better. There is no way I am losing to you. And with St. Marq, he was playing head games. If he could get in your head, then he had an advantage and maybe you wouldn't do your best work. Sarah can not handle the head games.

Someone tweeted Sarah and asked her if something else was going on during filming since she seemed so "off" her skill set. She replied that right before filming began, she found out her fiance of 7 years was cheating on her and broke up with him. She said she was in a really bad place and it took almost a year to recover. Giving you an idea when this was filmed.

As a Sarah fan, I wanted to see her win but I understand that the judges could have sent her home for that tattoo. Yes you can nit pick and argue but it is what it is. Normally on portraits, someone does such a horrible job and it doesn't even look anything like the person, but everyone did well last night. I could recognize every face easily. I will still watch to see who wins. I did enjoy Christian calling out the judges for the "for someone who doesn't do portraits comment". Judge everyone by the same standard.

My take from watching most of the seasons is that artists that Nunez knows already and that he considers a "good" tattoo artist, get preferential treatment over artists he doesn't know. Several times, I have heard him say when voting "I refuse to vote for a good artist." The best example was Cruiseman last season when Nunez saved him several times against other artists he didn't know much about. So the vets this season come in with an advantage over artists like Megan-Jean which sux for her. The judges admitted after eliminating St Marq that he was around to "stir the pot". They called him out on it. It will be interesting how Sarah does. She is a much better artist now and she finished second on her season. I hope she is more mature and can handle the games and pressure better. Clean is on fire right now. I want Sarah to win, but he is tattooing very well. Ready to she was she brings to the table. Then 2 weaker vets still to join. I think Anthony and the guy from Sausage's shop will be to 2 new ones to battle Clean, Sarah and Sausage in the top 5. Megan-Jean probably goes out 6-7th. I originally thought Clean, Sarah and Sausage in the final, but Anthony may claim a spot taking out Sausage. I think this season was set up for Clean vs Sarah. Clean has earned his way there, now let's see what Sarah does.

I am enjoying this format better. Only having 8 artists each week allows a little more time spent on the artists instead of rushing through 16 tattoo reviews down to 4 really good artists at the end. I am waiting for Sarah's return. And I will bet, she will pick portraits. It is her strong suit. It is going to be an interesting season. You have 3 second place artists from other seasons, with 2-3 really strong artists in the new batch. I will still predict Sarah in the finale against Sausage, and the 3rd will be one of the new artists. Curious to see if they save Sarah for week 8?

I love the little smile when Josh D's character saw them in the Ipad at the end again . I am hooked.

For me a cool special show would be the winners vs Peck and Nunez where the canvases all want similar tattoos. Let's see how good the ink master's are versus the judges.

Working with a lot of workers of Indian decent, which is clearly where Sandhya comes from, they had us attend a cultural seminar to explain the differences in how people are raised in those cultures and the effects in the workplace. I won't spend paragraphs writing it up here but some of her issues comes from that. We (Americans) think she should just understand how we behave in the workplace and she thinks we should understand how she behaves. The 2 types actually clash in a lot of ways.

At some point, based on where the writers are leading us, I would believe the 2 machines will face off. Now initially we were lead to believe due to the massive need of chip speed and power, that Samaritan was the more powerful program. Now for the non IT tech of us here, programmers design and write different ways. One programmer can accomplish the same task with 1000 lines of code while another programmer accomplishes it with 300 lines of more efficient code. So from an IT perspective, the power and chip speed Samaritan requires may not necessarily mean it is a more powerful AI than the machine. As we have already seen, the machine was smart enough to dis-assemble it self little by little and spread itself over who knows where. And the one tidbit I will focus on is the constant reclassification of the machines assets on Samaritan. Root, under the machines guidance, was able to set up that server with code that doesn't allow Samaritan to see them. Maybe that indicate that Harold's program is actually the smarter program but is just playing under Harold's rules. I think one day, Harold will set it loose on Samaritan.

This show is demonstrating what happens when you get couple from different upbringing, cultures and such into the same therapy. Which I believe doesn't happen in real life. Nikki would not ever socialize with the people on this show. The friends she has, probably have similar upbringings and can relate to Nikki's life. Nikki & Jenna together are a fight waiting to happen. They are from such diverse backgrounds. It's like the regular public trying to understand what it is like to be a celebrity. Yes some of them are ultra rich. But they cannot leave their homes without someone following them with a camera trying to make a buck off them. We have no clue. Nikki cannot conceive what Jenna's life has been. Jenna think's NIkki's life has been a piece of cake. Well to Jenna's it is. But to Nikki, it is real and has issues. To the real world, yes they may be petty, but to her they are real.

S01.E05: We're Not Friends

I guess it's possible to find 12 people in a big city that have never seen an episode of LA Law, Law & Order, Judging Amy, etc or multiple movies where jury nullification was a plot point. I would think in this day and age, most adults already know the concept. -
Loved the episode. What I wonder is the following. Finch said version 42 of the machine worked because he was erasing its memory each night. But we know it had found a way to keep its memory with the data entry people retyping it in every day, I wonder if actually the machine is smart enough to compete against Samaritan but doesn't because as Root said it is Finch. And it "knows" the Admins "rules" so to speak and follows them. I wonder if the conversation Finch will have with the machine at some point this year will be, "I give you permission to use all your power/knowledge" to go after Samaritan? Basically, as Root has always asked: Setting it free.

In reading the posts on here, I think a lot of people miss the fact that some if not a lot of people vote for the pro. Case in point. I think you could take a hot looking girl off the street, who can dance decent, and pair her with Derek Hough. Call her America's dancer pick but she really is a nobody; and Derek's fan base will carry her to a top 4 finish. Yes Jonathon is not the greatest dancer, but Allison has a HUGE fanbase from So You Think You Can Dance. And there are people out there simply voting for her no matter how bad Jonathan dances. No they won't win, but they will go further than most here think they should have.

Just on a purely personal point of view. I think the actress that plays Eddie is extremely attractive especially out of uniform, hair down etc. So I want them to date. I believe the 2 characters do like each other but also want to be partners. They want both. And I my thought is that's where they'll try to go on the show. Trying to keep it a secret.

What I am wondering is if like the machine, Samaritan is learning. It is building assets outside of the knowledge of Decima to protect itself because it is learning that Decima may be something that it needs to eliminate at some point. The machine was smart enough to move itself to unknown locations. why can't Samaritan do the same thing and get out from the control of Decima once it continues to learn and grow. Nothing to stop it from reaching the same conclusions that our machine did. And ultimately even though self survival is always #1, what if at some point Samaritan determines that shutting itself down is what is best?

I think Jamie chose to remain with his partner because he has feelings for his partner. If he had admitted his feelings, he wouldn't be spending every day with her. Like the episode. I always now fast forward thru the family dinner portion and any time when Erin's daughter is on screen.

LOL - That's her real hair style and I love it. Why are a lot of people so against naturally curly hair? Don't get it. I wish more women would wear their naturally curly hair instead of spending hours straightening it everyday.

I liked the show. Thought it was interesting. As for the lawyers picking it apart, how many would watch a TV show that was accurate about it really works in trials? Probably not many. I've been on many juries and even a grand jury. It is not riveting TV. Lawyers stumbling over questions. Juries in and out of the courtroom a couple times a day as the lawyers argue over admissibility questions. In fact, the last couple of juries I have been on the lawyers first statements to us are always, "This will not happen like it does on TV".

As one of Allison's biggest fans, I look forward to seeing her on the show every week. Yep she over did it last night. She is a Derek protege and learning. Maybe she should have waited until she was better. But when they have the contemporary weeks, she will wipe the floor with her contemporary chirography if she makes it that far. I guess maybe I am unique, because yes, I watch for the celebs, but I also watch for the pros and she is awesome.

S04.E11: Space Oddity / S04.E12: Shoot The Moon
txbowler replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Falling Skies [V]
I would not be at all surprised if Lexi and her powers manage to survive via a cocoon or something. Shows love it when people talk about their characters (good or bad) and Lexi has produced more conversation than any other character outside of Tom in a while. -
On a side note - don't know if any of your here watch "Rush". But on last nights episode, the actor who plays Pope was a guest star. Clean shaven and with his hair cut short and died to a light brown. I didn't even recognize him until he spoke. Then I had no doubt. USA re-airs Rush if anyone wants to see a different "Pope"

I was one of the people happy to see Amanda back. Still am. But clearly tonight Fade's following probably grew 5000%. That man is so charming and sweet. I hope he goes far in the competition. His comments to Amanda when she was venting were so cool and supportive. I wish everyone had friends like him. Kini I believe is the front runner and one to beat at this point. He is consistently good. The other designers have good and bad weeks. I have yet to see Kini struggle with anything. The key on the talking heads I catch sometimes is clothing. The yellow sweater Amanda is wearing in next weeks show is one she has worn for several talking heads in previous weeks. If you see the designer in a talking head wearing something you haven't seen them wear on the show in yet, then there's a good chance that designer is around longer. Now that is the one outfit of Amanda's talking heads that I had not seen until the preview for next week. Could mean Amanda is out next week.

As to the question on judges knowing which designer did which design by their reaction and such, there are multiple runway runs. They film the designers reactions on a run-through of the runway when the judges are not present. When the judges are present, the designers actually sit quietly and say nothing. Most are watching the judges for their reactions to give them an idea of how the judges feel about their design. The editing makes it look like both are happening at the same time.
