  1. Yes, the No Fly Zone. But the No Fly Zone was where the Hydra head was that Fitz took a photo of when he was there. Was it off limits because that's where Hive was, or was it off limits because Will-as-Hive didn't want Jemma to find it? And why didn't Hive kill Simmons in that moment? It didn't take him very long to kill Stephanie or the Transia employees or those innocents? While I'm at it, I'm wondering if the damage to that guy's brain is permanent? Does Simmons also have similar damage? Hmm.
  2. Part of the problem was the Daisy had cut the power/feeds. Fitz and Simmons were on their way to restore the power when they stumbled upon Malick's open door. Fitz had made a comment that there were back up generators or something. So presumably, Daisy cut everything on the base. She certainly had the know how. Additionally, she also is a power-figure on the base. If she told the guards that Coulson wanted them elsewhere, they'd have believed her. I think this is a question that we've yet to receive the answer to. Keep in mind that Lincoln's been talking about how each Inhuman serves a purpose and they're destined for something, etc. etc. So maybe Hive didn't want Lincoln for his endgame? And Hive specifically said that he doesn't kill/eat Inhumans. Or maybe Hive's goal was to get Daisy, and not Lincoln? Remember, Ward never knew Skye as Daisy. She changed her name after the S2 finale, at which point she never had contact with him. So Ward would know her as Skye and thus so would Hive, who retains the memories of his hosts. I feel like all of the dots are starting to be connected and I really think that FitzSimmons are the key to this all. It can't have been just a coincidence that Fitz said "what is Hive, he couldn't even get off a deserted planet without us." Which is very true. Both were able to do what hundreds of years of Hydra never could, in months. I also don't think we've seen the last of Jemma's adventures on the planet. Jemma was in striking distance of Hive for months and yet he never "deboned" her to gain strength? I have the same questions about Will too.
  3. I'm still laughing about grandma, several days after having seen it. That was such a funny moment.
  4. A few things: - Maveth/Goblin Ward is based on the comic character Hive, who has no real long term story attached to it aside from it gobbling up Hydra agents and being just a pain to kill. So I think the writers are going to make this one their own variation. - Lash killed "unworthy" Inhumans. Or at least that's what Andrew seemed to argue. He deemed Daisy "worthy". It's unclear where his loyalties are. Did he kill them off because they weren't worthy enough to be in Hive's army? Or did he kill them off because he thinks they're an abomination or some such racist ideology? Or is there still a piece of Andrew in there fighting to protect the team? I agree that I think the season will come down to Lash versus Hive/Goblin Ward. What I'm most interested in is how much of the host body's memories does he retain? Will he go after Jemma? (Will's memories) Or will he go after Coulson/Fitz? (Ward's memories) I'm still living on the hope train that when Will was killed protecting Jemma it was actually way earlier than the viewer was led to believe by that statement to Fitz. I think/suspect there might be a long con at play, and maybe Jemma was his plaything for a while until Fitz came for her. It would certainly explain why an astronaut didn't really have any understanding of the space science Jemma was explaining and why she was so dazed sounded right before the flare went off.
  5. A lot of people are making a big deal out of Will dying to save Jemma. I think we're forgetting that so did Fitz. In S1 he gave her the last breath so that she could live. I think Jemma cared for Will, but I don't think her love for him is even a fraction of what she feels for Fitz. Fitz is her lobster, essentially. Once she mourns for Will, she'll be back to Fitz wanting to make up for lost time. In fact I fanwank that she's going to be all up in Fitz's grill and he's going to be telling her that she's sending him mixed signals. And in fact I suspect it's going to happen sooner than later. I'm curious as to whether Maveth retains the memories of the host body. Because I have a spec that when Jemma fell down the hole (and was "saved") that's actually when Will died and Maveth took over. But someone mentioned that Fitz smelled the stench of the wound, so maybe it's as simple as him dying when she left with Fitz. But I still can't get over that she was so jumpy and then not-so-much when she was on the planet. It would make more sense to me if she'd lived a fogue state for 3 months while Will was actually just Maveth in disguise and he'd tried to kill Jemma to hitch a ride in her via Fitz's rescue. That way, subconsciously, maybe she actually knew she was in Maveth's company but managed to overcome it. I think it's important to remember that whenever Maveth was displeased with her, he kicked up a sandstorm. When she was running to Fitz maybe he was trying to hide his ultimate plan? I dunno. It's so holey, it's Swiss cheese at this point.
  6. Malick also gave the Goblin a gender. Calling it a "he". This is the first time that it's received a gender! I'm still on the bandwagon that Goblin has taken on the shape of Will and that the Astronaut is actually the Real Will.
  7. I feel like the last line from Malick there about how Fitz was the sacrifice to lead Death through the door is a hint that Hydra actually KNOWS that FitzSimmons have been actively trying to bring back Will and they're okay with that. I think Jemma's reaction in that clip speaks volumes; I think it's actually just dawned on her that Fitz is going to usher the Goblin through because their motivation is the same as Hydra's: Bring Will Back.
  8. ABC promo'd the heck out of the FitzSimmons kiss, so I definitely believe they requested them getting together sooner rather than later. lol Personally, I feel like Jemma was staring at the Will photo because she's conflicted. She's got Fitz-feels happening, but Will's not there for her to see if the feelings she has for Fitz hold a candle to her feelings for Will. I think she was trying to decide how deep her feelings go for Will. That's my fanwank in any case.
  9. A friend of mine suggested that the reason Malick wanted Coulson alive (through Roz and I guess, Ward) was relative to the "Death" manuscript. What if the only way to come back through the portal is to have died or survived death? Both Fitz and Coulson have survived death. And it links with the description for 3x10 "Maveth" wherein Fitz and Coulson seem to be working together on something dangerous. Maybe when Malick got his intel (from whom??) that Jemma came back through he'd assumed that it was Coulson as basically everyone at this point knows that Coulson survived his impaling. In reality, it was Fitz-- whom few (one of which being Ward) know survived his own death. I have a theory that the astronaut was trying to protect Jemma and that when Will fired off the gun he was aiming for Jemma. I'm not sure how it works out exactly cause there are a crap-ton of plot holes stemming from 4722 Hours that need to be cleared up first, but it's a theory I'm running with. I think the Big Bad is, in fact, Will. And I suspect that Jemma's adventures with Will are a false memory implanted by the Big Bad.
  10. I don't think everything with Will is as it appears. It seems from the various articles/snippets from EW that Fitz grows increasingly suspicious of him with every episode. So I think there's more to the story and more to Jemma's adventures on the planet that she's (potentially) forgotten.
  11. What if the astronaut was protecting Jemma? I kind of dig that idea. We never see whom Will fired the gun at. He could've aimed for Jemma and the astronaut (keeper of the planet? the planet itself?) prevented him from getting Jemma. Also someone later mentioned to me that the sandstorm is the very reason she found water in the first place. Some more evidence.
  12. Elizabeth said it at the Rose City Con. I'm not sure what the time stamp is on her saying it, but a fan specifically asks about the rose-drop necklace that Simmons always wears. Ann has been talking about her costumes A LOT lately, especially with it being Halloween and her getting an Emmy nod so I don't have any direct links. But I know since Liz dropped that the necklace was going to show up as a talking piece, people immediately asked a lot of questions of Ann in relation to it.
  13. Yes. I think she's still referencing the editing cut that happened when Will found it. Saying otherwise suggests that her and her team are terrible at their jobs because it's their responsibility to make sure that EH is wearing the same thing at all times to ensure continuity of look and they had only 2 actors to take care of for that episode (3 if you include Fitz). If it was a mistake (they didn't remember to put EH in the necklace while filming the scene where Fitz called for her), then I would've expected her to own up to it by now. She's clearly gotten a bunch of questions about it and there's no shame in owning a mistake. But she hasn't. She's artfully dodging it by repeatedly referencing Will having found the necklace/returning it to Jemma. Alternatively if there was a lost/cut scene where Jemma took the time in the sandstorm to take the necklace off and leave it for him, I'd have expected her to have admitted that too. There's nothing to hide where THAT'S concerned. But if the missing necklace when Fitz comes for her is a hint that not all is as it seems, that's a major, purposeful choice and she's going to remain mum on. Both EH and Ann Foley have been talking about how the necklace is going to play a big part in the plot coming up (this was prior to 3x05). I can't imagine it was just because she'd left it for Fitz and Will had found it. That's not nearly as exciting as EH and AF have been making it seem its meant to be.
  14. No, it's not explained. How she got it, is explained. Not how she then LOST IT again at the end. Ann Foley said that there's a deleted scene of Will giving her the necklace and saying that he'd found it. So that explains it's appearance while she's with Will (sort of, stick with me here). But it doesn't explain why it's there at her sunrise date and promptly disappears when Fitz sends the flare, then reappears when Will calls for her and disappears when Fitz calls for her. Could it be a continuity error? Sure. But Ann Foley keeps replying to questions about it and evading the crux of the matter that it disappears. If you go to this post and scroll down you can see the actual tweets/tumblr asks, at one point someone does ask if it disappearing was a coincidence and she replies with "nope."
  15. One correction: Simmons found Will (or rather, Will found Simmons) at approximately month 3. They first kiss with 47 days to Fitz's rescue. As for the reveal to Andrew-- you're totally right. I'd forgotten she'd mentioned she was very alone. Hmm...
  16. I spent a solid two hours piecing my theories together and it apparently opened Pandora's Box over at Tumblr. So I compiled them all together. There are some really interesting things that both myself and other people have noticed including the lack of continuity on the necklace, Will always feeding Jemma the space berries, the one bullet not making sense and the one that blew my mind entirely-- it wasn't Will who locked Jemma into the cave when she fell into the hole, it was the astronaut. Just make sure you click the "keep reading" on the tumblr page for the full experience.
  17. That's a part I can't really explain except to say that maybe oldWill is fighting newWill. Like there's a part of him that is still there. But who knows? I do think that the episode would've been better served if we didn't see him in that final tag giving him even more of an air of mystery even if he was just a man.
  18. I'm surprised that no one here has picked up on the tells that the episode gave!!! After I got over my rage, I started to think about it and realized a few (important) details. 1. Jemma loses her necklace because she leaves it as a pathway for Fitz. But then when she meets "Will" she's wearing it again and they have a scene where he puts it on her neck. Then later on at their sunrise date, she's still wearing it, but then the flare happens. She runs toward the flare and as soon as Fitz calls her name... Necklace is gone! You definitely can't see the necklace on her when she calls out to Fitz, but when she's with Will-- necklace. When she's pulled out of the rubble, she has no necklace on. 2. Jemma on the plane awoke with a start holding a shiv. Why? From what she told Fitz she wasn't living in fear. In fact she was making the best of things with Will. Only twice did she ever really see the figure and then there was the time she was Will's prisoner. But nothing that would suggest she couldn't sleep right and had to sleep with one eye open. 3. When she's rescued by Fitz, she tells no one about Will. Why not? She doesn't have to say that she fell in love, but at the very least the guy who (supposedly) sacrificed himself for her should warrant an immediate mention from Jemma in those first few minutes/hours. Even just a "Will.... Where's Will...." is enough. But no. Nothing. The only details she gives are that the planet had flora/no fauna and that she was "chased." Why omit Will? She had no reason to hide that there'd been another human on the planet. Yes, hiding she'd fallen in love with him. But not that he existed. Yet she does. And she doesn't start to actively recall him until the dinner with Fitz (when, interestingly enough they are about to drink wine-- the same thing Will and Jemma were doing before she was rescued). 4. Will won't let her go to certain places. He says it's because of the Thing. But Jemma only ever sees the Thing when Will is not happy with where she's going/gone. She found the sextant and wine in the graveyard, and the sextant is what started her almost successfully getting home (shall we also mention the mysteriously widened canyon?) 5. Then there's the age of Will. The actor (Dillon Casey) is 31. If we assume Will is approximately 31, then 14 years ago he'd be a teenager. If we up the character's age he'd have to be 40+ for the timeline to work (working at NASA, being recruited, trained, etc.) 6. Why doesn't Will make a run for the portal with Jemma? Instead he notably hangs back when she goes for Fitz. The Thing was closest to Jemma. If it was going to get someone, it'd be Jemma yet she bypasses. If Will is who he says he is, he could've made a run for it with her toward Fitz. And if TPTB wanted a sweeping romantic moment with FitzSimmons, they could've hand Will just miss the portal, but they didn't. He never left the spot she'd left him at. My thoughts? There's a Thing and it's inhabited the body of the late Will Daniels. I think Jemma lived one (real) existence (ShivJemma, who lived in fear of her life) and one (fake) existence (Bachelorette on Planet X Jemma). I think the Thing was slowly breaking her down, but it took longer because she was clinging to her reality which was Fitz. When the phone dies that's when she's thrown into Will's arms AND she starts to forget Fitz (note that she's very wistful on the sunrise date and says Will reminds her of someone as if she can't remember who). Once the battery dies, she doesn't talk about Fitz anymore. It's not until she sees the flare that it clicks back in and even then she flits back and forth and it's Fitz calling her name that compels her to the portal. ETA: Also earlier in the season Coulson/Mack/Hunter said that Rosalind worked at NASA at one point. I wonder if Rosalind's and Will's stories line up?!
  19. Elizabeth Henstridge did an interview with EW where she says that Simmons is Simmons but has PTSD. Presumably she entered at the same location, no? So she would know where to go wouldn't she? There might be some hellbeast lurking around it which is why she couldn't spend a lot of time there or maybe the wind makes it really difficult to be there during portal openings? Strucker has definitely been name checked in AOS, I think. Unless I'm misremembering. His minion, Dr. Levy was on though. I think May speaks whatever MingNa Wen speaks. MingNa definitely speaks Mandarin (her and Chloe Bennet apparently speak Mandarin to each other on occasion). I just went back to the episode where May gets picked up by her mother. The mother doesn't speak anything but English to May. It's not uncommon for a Mandarin speaker to know Cantonese and vice versa since Chinese television programming tends to have one or the other as a subtitle. So I would believe May would know both, especially as a super spy.
  20. When Jemma was taken she was wearing a black cardigan with a long sleeved blouse. The black cardigan has been fashioned into her bag and presumably either the planet is hot or Jemma needed the sleeves of her shirt for something like a bandage (or toilet paper, maybe lol) Here's the comparison
  21. I took it as though he was suggesting Rosalind was badass and a badass woman is no "girl."
  22. kennyab had a great spec for where Simmons is over at the speculation thread. And I think that poster is dead on. Kennyab speculated that she's in the Blue Area of the Moon (maybe not the moon in this instance but a planet) wherein the Kree brought Inhumans to experiment on them.
