I really appreciate the background information on Eve from everybody and I looked up Frankie, too. I couldn't remember when he and Max were adopted by Sean and Caroline - 2007? But that makes him Kimberly's brother by adoption, who is Eve's stepmother. (It also makes Max Chelsea's uncle by adoption because her father is Bo by Caroline and Victor, and they dated). Eek. I just figured out I remember very little about Eve after Nick Corelli because my son was born in 89 and CR left in 91 so I was busy :) And the Von Lorschner family line bored me almost as much as the Colleen story. Maybe because they both involved John in some way, iirc. Anyway, not to beat a dead horse but there are lots of people concerned about legacy characters like CR not coming back, and plenty of people who still don't know where Bo is two years later and want Patch and Kayla the way they used to be and when are Sean and Belle coming back, etc etc That's what concerns me about the AS/JS departure. People never forget when the lead couple leaves and viewers quit. 80's soaps were all about the supercouples and to some extent Days still is. There are Dannifer and Ericole shippers out there believe it or not...At least they left behind the couples' sex songs that made my teeth hurt like Tonight I Celebrate (Bo and Hope?). The answer, of course is in the writing. We get unforgettable jewels occasionally such as MBE helping Caroline write her wedding testimonial, or Justin being supportive of Wilson and slapping back his stupid wife. There could be so many back burner stories. Instead, we get Nicole following Eric around having the same conversation three times and Ejabs having the same conversation 12 times. Not to mention that damned gala. As far as the Jen/Eve/Jack/Frankie four way, that went on for years so I understand the animosity Jen would have for Eve. Fortunately Jen is in for an unhappy summer. Unfortunately, we will have to see a lot of her sad-face and it's going to spill over onto JJ I'm afraid.

You might want to add Aiden, Caroline, Eve and possibly Ciara and Theo. Is Tad "T"? I vote Rafe and Eve.

I'm just going off of comments here, I probably don't have anything to say most of you don't already know. And I'm happy to be wrong about Kate and Sami, the writers exceeded my expectations. Jack's book is about his "walkabout" in Afghanistan and when he was held prisoner. That's why Jen is donating the proceeds to veterans, and Vic just told her it made a lot of money. The book in Paige's backpack was huge but I have no idea whether he discussed his early life. Wouldn't JJ already know if it was in there? I know Abs read it. My understanding is that Eve's arrival (groping her daughter and throwing imaginary money about), is that she plans to sue Jenn over the book because somebody does. It looks like she expects a big payday: Surgery, a new house and Stanford University out of pocket? I absolutely remember Charlotte Ross and her relationship with Nick the Pimp. I'm not too broken up about her not returning because she left over 20 years ago! and has had a decent career. My regret is she would have brought a great deal more pathos. I get it that this is KdP's first week, I've never seen her before but she is approaching levels of Melanie Mania (I actually liked Melanie but she was very loud and stagey in her acting.). Also, I've been dreading the return of Kristen, I really don't need another shrill, crazy person around and that southern accent is throwing me for a loop.. I, too, feel for Paige. It's immediately looking like "the daughter is more mature than the mother" storyline and her character feels shoehorned in. Some of us don't even remember her and suddenly it's revealed Paige moved in with Cousin Joan temporarily? Having JJ walk in on an unbuttoned Eve was nauseating. Theresa is pulling JJ's strings just to keep in practice because it will come in handy to stick it to Eve over the happiness of her daughter. That's all I remember about Eve, when she was with the pimp Nick Corelli. Didn't he get shot? A quick google says Eve was accused, but it ended up being Jo Johnson, Steve's mother.

I want Abby to get kicked very, very badly with bruises and broken bones or she will grow up to be a Jenn. It could rehabilitate her character but I doubt the writers have it in them. Now that I think about it, the proud member of the HS Virgin Club has had sex four times now and thinks she knows what she is doing?

I don't quite see how Days is going to let Hope commit adultery. When she does, Ciara will surely call her out then we will have another Sami on our hands. It would be a hoot if they did it on a conference table. It sure does look like they are on their own show, doesn't it. I'm just endlessly happy half the show isn't taking place in the damned church or convent anymore. I'm really dreading the bishop's interviews. Oh, and Mar loves her neutered priest kid better than Carrie even though she dumped the twins in Colorado with her parents for about ten years.

OK I guess I'm incredibly stupid but everybody seems to know about Sami's "plan" and that she knew about the affair for a while. So I checked this thread and clicked on some links although I normally hate spoilers. Hey, I'm glad to be wrong about Sami not knowing even if it it seems opposite to everything I know about her to not instantly confront Ejabby, but her insistence on including Abs has looked awfully fake. And yeah, I read the TV guide interview, too. If anyone could summarize what the plan is, that would be great because you all are so excited I'm willing to break my spoiler rule this time and I want to enjoy as much Sami as I can, while I can.

Maggie Abe Kristen

Yup, not even so secretly. They got together while Sami cut him off over Kristen and she was pissed they got back together. I don't think she's ever given up the idea of having him for herself. It's so pathetic that I swear she wiggled her ass a little with excitement, when EJ stopped her right after Gabi's confession. She thought there'd be flirting. Ugh. It even bugs me how she keeps punching him lately, because it assumes a familiarity that isn't there.

I promise you, if you look at it again that back zipper stuck out on the bottom and she looked like she was wearing depends. I couldn't take my eyes off the mod racing stripe down the middle. I hate cutout dresses on the show at this point. At least it distracted me from Nicole's gym look. Not that gym looks are bad, Jordan looked cute and sporty today. Abs' white dress was cute too but it looked like a tennis dress. Edited to add: More Freddy in the tank tops.

I didn't quite see it as Eric defending Nicole. As soon as he got Sami out of there - I don't blame him at all for wanting to put out that fire asap - he told Nicole in no uncertain terms to leave. Sami holds nothing back, that's why I sadly don't think she's working with Kate. Dammit Dan for making me feel a twinge of sorry for Jenn after Maggie left, for being completely cut out of his life. He made an error in judgment and is furious for being questioned over it? I don't know if it's much better than my original expectation that Jenn would be angry at Dan for keeping the information from her. I expect Dan will break off that kiss because Eve has an appointment to be groped at the hospital first thing tomorrow. Maggie was awful but at least she seemed to realise she was interrupting. Abs was hilarious. Did the writers actually let her crack a joke about being sick of listening to herself complain? And that seizure she had looking at the spot where Nick fell! I sure hope they were writing in the crazy for her, it's the only way she makes sense. And btw, Sami specifically said she didn't ask Will to help with the wedding because he was dealing with a lot and what does she do but go right over there and ask Will. I was wondering whether Will was still in school, glad he's graduating. Lucas always reminded me of my late ex, and our son just graduated from college in May. Occasionally Sami's relationship with her son through the years reminded me of my own son. LOVED Kate and Rafe saying "this was a mistake" in unison.

I read that AS scheduled a meeting with Corday to let him know, I guess I assumed that happened last fall. But I thought JS's decision was rather sudden. I don't think we heard about his departure until his last day of filming. Of course, that doesn't mean he didn't put in notice earlier, but if you have any details on it I would be interested because I really don't follow all the news. I heard JS's contract ended, but I don't know how early renegotiation started.

I thought the point to the SL was to push KM in our face as the next new leading lady. It bombed spectacularly, as others have said. I also think it's the beginning of the exit SL for Sami. When AS quit I'm not sure they knew JS was going to leave too, so the two of them have to separate. I think there will be a payoff when the truth comes out. Albeit not as good as throwing Abby over the stair rail. I agree completely about missed chances with the writing. I might have mentioned before, another huge problem with this show is that because they film so far ahead, audience input is meaningless.

Gosh, Gabi has gorgeous hair. Aside from the ugliness of Will's sweater, which matched taupy-grey-oatmeal week, it just looked cheap to me because it didn't fit well. It's all I could do to reach through the screen and adjust it for him. Apparently no one checked him right before filming. Although Ari's grey with black flocking baby dress looked a little funereal, it was beautiful. I also liked the green or teal Healthtex looking dress loooked great. (I bought lots of Healthtex for my baby before Walmart made them make cheap clothes.) Nice touch by the writers saying it was the first dress Will bought Ari because he didn't know about baby sizes. I'm not a fan of baby headbands except occasionally, glad to see Ari doesn't wear them. She doesn't use a binky either, doubly glad to see that. I'll bet Ari won't be on for a while. Loving Sami's black tank and flirty print skirt. Much nicer than the overly small neon spandex numbers they had her wearing for a while.

Not that it's an excuse, but they've gone out of their way to show Rafe looking at the bottom of his beer glass the last 2x we've seen him. So he's drunk. Agreed, very stupid move on Kate's part unless she has no concern for the health and wellbeing of his Little Rafe. I think she's just doing it to get rid of Jordan because it seems like she gave up being in "love" with Rafe a long time ago. And Kate probably thinks she can control Stephano because he's apparently interested in her again. As much as I wish Sami was intentionally setting up Abby and working with Kate, I don't see it. She's certainly unintentionally setting up Abby but Sami is far too impatient not to confront Abs immediately, if she knew. The only thing that give me pause is the last time Kate and Sami argued (in front of Jordan) it seemed unusually fake as if it was for show.
