The FDA can no longer be trusted because they’ve decided that the “peer reviewers” (for the peer-reviewed studies that support the acceptance/approval are not shown the raw data gathered, only the conclusions of the authors, so they cannot possibly contradict the conclusions).
Peer reviewed publications aren’t used for FDA approvals. Companies submit all of the raw data to the FDA, and FDA staff review *everything* (I know because I’ve been asked to provide information during the review). Once the FDA has finished their review, FDA scientists make recommendations to the expert committee of non-FDA staff who vote on whether something should be approved or not. All of those reviewers can have access to the raw data if they want it. The FDA then takes the recommendation under advisement and makes the final decisions.

I loved the blue and white color scheme, the house really looked gorgeous when it was done. The only think I didn’t like was the furniture they had reupholstered. There’s a reason some things go out of style.

OK, watched the first episode. Loved the Baumler color scheme, but the layout was not the best. Who needs what was essentially two dining rooms right next to each other? The Luxury guys had cabinets 12 feet up…who can get to anything in those? The honed counters were gorgeous. NKOTB team had a second kitchen, with no dishwasher, but I loved their stove alcove. Page’s space looked like NKOTB, but had a dishwasher in their second kitchen. Didn’t like their stove area, the cabinets looked disconnected. But their dining room was beautiful. Agree with the NKOTB win (and not because I’m from Boston!).

I cringed when the Nathan harasser asked Oriana who she would date, Oriana says Lewis, and Harasser says she can understand that because he’s more “refined”. Talk about a dogwhistle moment.

I just watched Episode 2…was the husband supposed to work in that front office with no door? Or did he have another office elsewhere? There is NO way they did the Reno and the furniture for $60,000. They had a $5000 refrigerator!

I've been rewatching Top Chef Masters, and they usually have a wedding challenge where someone has to make a wedding cake. That's a great challenge, and doable in the time limits that the bakers have (including some requirement for piped or fondant floral decoration). Why can't we have nice things like that? (As they did in the older episodes).

I remember the days when the showstopper for patisserie week was a selection of entremets. Those clunky biscuit towers had *nothing* to do with patisserie.

Here in Massachusetts, egg rolls have bubbles, spring rolls are smaller with no bubbles, and summer rolls are wrapped in rice paper. That was not a pastry challenge.

I’m really sorry that we didn’t get to see Dom wrangle her hair on a zip line or swimming. I also slightly enjoyed the fact that she had lost her eyelash extensions on her left eye. She just annoyed me to no end!

$15,000 for a week is not rich!!! Yikes. You & I live in very different worlds.
Well, millionaires, but not hundred millionaires. Believe me, I don't spend $2500 a night on hotel rooms, haha.

Unfortunately, the average house price here in Boston is now $900K, so they weren't looking for something way over the top.

I really liked this series…I’m one of five sisters and totally got the familial bond. Luckily none of my sisters have married anyone like JP!

So when JP was in the coffin Grace said he had an erection…maybe it was a viagra induced heart attack and no one was responsible.

I saw a couple of pizza stones being used. I might have seen a pizza steel, or maybe it was just a pan underneath, a bit hard to tell. Maybe it was personal choice to bring one?
They definitely could have used hotter ovens
I have a pizza cookbook that has you alternate between the oven heat and the broiler when you put the pizza in the oven...it helps make sure that the top of the crust gets really cooked (which is important to me, I like it a little burnt like Prue described).

Carole: Perfect example of why I like the show. Paul explained why the bake failed, but they also encouraged her with the parts that’d worked well.
I loved how kind Noel was to her when she was so upset…that’s the part of the show that makes it different.

Was Derrick standing on the balcony? I couldn't see him there.

I think it’s interesting that women aren’t seen as equals but they are the glue that holds it all together-they are the breadwinners in many cases, and they manage everything in the house. And it made me wonder where the money comes from to pay men a salary to basically study the Torah all day and essentially promote a belief system that dictates virtually everything in your personal life.
The men in these stories who study the Torah all day are basically on welfare…the government pays them a stipend to study. Secular Israelis are distressed by it, because it raises taxes, but because the orthodox/Ultra orthodox are the current majority the law won’t change any time soon.

Creepy Chef Ryan is ruining my fond memories of D. B. Sweeney (the Cutting Edge)

She's a VP at GSK, I don't think money is an issue. But her face was SO distracting! I don't understand why women go to that extreme.

I don’t think they were married…and he owned a house and she said she gave up her “place”, so I don’t think they even lived together. On a shallow note, he was so handsome!

I thought Dan’s take on Italian American food was kind of boring, but so is Sylvia’s Mexican American food. I hope Foo wins. if they’re going to do a second season of this, they need to do a much better job of setting the challenges.

Poor Nicholas…that whole opening scene of him making Molly’s world perfect contrasted with her blowing off his big break was so sad. I hope he poured that champagne down the drain. You can buy it for $350.00.

Not to sound shallow- but I'm going to sound shallow. His teeth have bothered me since the first moment I saw him and I can't get over it. I am not saying I want all actors to have those capped fake teeth, but I have a thing about teeth in general so his really turn me off. I can never get on-board with him as a romantic interest because of it.
You're not alone...his teeth bother me too.
Also, maybe it's just me, but Molly basically hit the lottery ($86B is a LOT of money). She didn't create a family trust or anything? A scholarship fund? I know if's funnier if she waltzes in to her broken-tabled relatives, but maybe just a smidgen of guilt? Some self reflection?

I would have had more trouble with the “Southern” part of the fusion than pretty much any of the cuisines. It’s just not a thing I grew up with. I guess my touch points would be fried chicken and sweet potato pie?

S01.E10: Track 10: Rock N Roll Suicide
in Daisy Jones And The Six
I think Eddie was probably a talented guitarist, but that doesn’t make you a star. And when you’re talented and surrounded by real stars, it probably makes you resentful.
Daisy and Billy may not have been the nicest people in the world, but they were stars. I’ve known people like them, and you wouldn’t want to be in a relationship with them, but God, you wanted to watch them on stage. They’re not “normal”.
I really liked the show, I thought it reflected the music industry (or any performing arts really), and sap that I am, I loved when Billy knocked on Daisy’s door.
