Re: DD…they have a masculine face and body, so I think it’s difficult to work with that within the designer’s esthetic…too feminine, and they look like they’re wearing a costume, and too masculine and they look like a man.  I also think they’re tough to fit for someone used to making women’s clothing.  It would be great if one of the designers could make something fantastic for them.

  2. I think there's some confusion about Colin's timeline...he broke up with Martina, the girlfriend he had for his first two seasons on BDSY.  Then he hooked up with Britt, casually, at the same time he was hooking up with Daisy, also casually.  Then he and Daisy had their time in the sun, broke up, and Colin started a relationship with Britt. None of that makes him a bad person to me.

I believe she was also very frustrated (and rightfully so, IMHO) that she was being held to task for Gary's flirtatious behavior, both by Colin and Captain Glenn. The fact that they've all remained friends while painting her as "that woman", the toxic one, is pretty hard to take.

I will take the stand that if she told Gary, while they were both sober, that he needed to cut the sh*t, and he continued to do it that yes, Glenn and Gary's holding her accountable was despicable.  However, we never saw her act like a woman in a relationship and tell Gary to cut it out.  If that had happened, I think Bravo would have shown us because it adds to the "Gary is a lecher" persona that he takes great delight in.

Also, I think Gary/Daisy/Glenn have some weird friendship going, but I think Colin is out of that circle now.

I'll also hold to my opinion that Daisy was drunk during the reunion, hence all the crying (with great waterproof eye makeup!) and yelling and apparently not noticing that her boob fell out of her dress.

  4. I think Daisy was drunk at the reunion…she didn’t come off well.  As far as the flirting with Gary goes, she never really said stop…she’d be smiling and laughing and telling him to stop.  If she really wanted it to stop, it’s easy enough to say, “Gary, stop it”.  Maybe not when they were both drunk, but the next morning, if she really valued her relationship with Colin, she could have had a conversation with Gary to tell him to knock it off.

This whole reunion was ugly, and so was the season.  Alex, Mads, Lucy, Ileisha and especially Chandler all seem like the grownups in the room.

  5. What did the young couple spend their money on on the last day?  It didn’t seem like anything they did added up to $5000.   A couple of cheap cubbies didn’t cost that.  I don’t know why they didn’t spend it on a couple of closet systems…those are quick to put in and would have added a ton of real storage.  Also, I’ve stayed in plenty of cottages with a bedroom as small as their third bedroom…all you need is a place to sleep and room enough around the bed to change the sheets.

  6. A lot of times I look at these houses and cringe at the prices but that house with that view I think was worth every penny.  It was gorgeous.

Bone marrow transplants are harrowing, and I’m glad Elmer came out ok on the other side. This was a really uplifting episode.

  7. I’m watching this and seeing how close those houses are to the water, and am wondering when they’ll have to be moved back.  I live in MA and there are a lot of houses that are moved so that they don’t fall into the ocean.

The Baumlers have the most boring taste in the world, so I’m not interested in their opinions.  But I have to say that the bathroom with the horrible tile work and the shower with no curb needed to be demolished right then and there.  What were they thinking?

  8. Gary literally makes my skin crawl…what any of these women see in him is beyond me.  And I didn’t need to see his erection in his swimsuit (in the hallway).

I love Colin…I want him to stay the sane one.

Chase tries hard, but he’s socially awkward.  The other blond stew (not Mads)(Lucy?) should give him some lessons in how to interact with people, because it seems like she gets along with everyone.

Daisy seems like she’s done, and I want to eat everything that the chef makes!

Burton did a revival of Camelot and toured in the 80's before he became too ill - I got to see him play Arthur when they came to San Francisco.  Actually it was during this time that there several other revival tours of musicals with the original lead - I saw Rex Harrison play Henry Higgins and Yul Brynner play the King of Siam.

I saw all of those shows…summer of 1981 was a great theatre summer.  By the time Camelot had come to Boston, Richard Harris had replaced Richard Burton. And Cathy Rigby came through as Peter Pan.  I was working in a theatre and saw them all for free.

I haven’t loved this season, but I will miss the show when it’s gone.  Sometimes the Rose/Abe helpless and selfish show is just too much to take.  I hope we get answers to all of our questions in the next two episodes!

When I married in 1989, in a Presbyterian Church, my wedding couldn't be during Lent. I don't know if that was a local church things or for all PCUSA congregations.

My parents were Catholic, and got married on Friday, February 13th…just under the Lenten wire. It was also less expensive to get married on a Friday!

Colette's nosebleeds were never diagnosed, were they? The show made such a big deal of them without any sort of resolution. Even a "oh, she must be nervous" would have done it for me.

My sister had a lot of nosebleeds…she was a chronic nose picker. ;)

I also think/hope that she will somehow find him again, or he her, and they will fall in love. At least, I’ve watched and hoped every episode since then that he will reappear 😄

I thought that when Ted asked her about the private investigator, there was a little bit of a lightbulb moment when she thought she might use one to find Dutch guy.  I really think that’s the endgame for her.

Michelle’s boyfriend is just so wrong…for a therapist to date a former patient is just so bad.

Nate and Jack can get off of my TV screen and never be seen again.  They’re both so boring and predictable.

  13. I loved the kitchen (minus the stupid legs).  Apparently there’s a pantry that wasn’t shown, which makes sense.  I have to believe that the uncomfortable looking sofa was just for show, and the husband got something nice to sit on and watch his 65 inch TV.  He was a good sport, because he *clearly* wasn’t into living in a 300 year old house!

I think I might have to make a trip to their store (it’s only a half hour from where I live), just to see.

  14. I worked at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston for a few years…Dr. Farber was the first physician to use combination chemotherapy against cancer, and the Jimmy Fund Clinic still is world class.  I worked down the hall from the clinic, and nothing makes you feel more grateful for your health than seeing those kids.  My cousin had ALL in 1985, and the treatment was still brutal.  He was treated at UMich Ann Arbor using protocols from Dana Farber.  The Jimmy Fund is the same as St. Jude’s…no family who cannot afford to pay has to pay.

Pretty much sobbed as soon as I saw those bruises.

  15. I looked the house up on Realtor, it’s on the market for $550K.  All new electric, HVAC etc.  It’s a good price for Massachusetts.  I know they wanted to save the father’s cabinets, but I hated that hardware.  The dining room was gorgeous, I’d love to host a dinner party there!
