Um.... Um... Wait, hold up now.... SERIOUSLY!!!! I guess the ambiguity was wiped away for people familiar with the comic book? I know the X-Men movies and there, David's father was not who yall are alluding to but regardless, I have no idea how what B/Lenny said shed any light at all on the identity of David's father, seriously. This show continues to just be bat shit crazy and I love it for that but honestly, it aint making a whole lot of sense to me (and I am so very very tolerant of shows or movies like this). I just watch it and let it flow into my eyes and rattle around in my brain. I dont expect it to make sense but when I come here and some of yall are talking about "the shadow king", I have no idea what you're talking about. When some of you say "AH! That clears up the identity of his father" when the actual episode never named anyone, never pictured anyone I can't help but wish I was smoking what you're smoking because it's obviously far superior to my KB.

Tyler's straight?

Agree about Melissa (maybe that's part of why I like her so much....) but Adam I think has already snapped. You know every season you have at least one artist get all huffy and be like, "I'm over this! Had it! Done!" and they go flouncing off. It's rare though that they then smash something but Adam did and that is not cool at all. If you're that torqued out, take it outside, dont be violent and disruptive, everyone is trying to be creative and smashing things is not conducive to artistic creativity and Adam knows it. He's kind of had a chip on his shoulder all season, I'll be really glad when he's gone.

Yes and then have Logan and Melissa, now THAT would be a GREAT team! Both Logan and Melissa come across as both very professional and unflappable, unlike Adam in particular. I was really amazed at George's character, while not a beautiful character per se, that was one beautiful make up. Im pulling for them to win now (but I really am sad to see Melissa gone, she was pulled down at every turn by her team mate....grrrrr)

At this point perhaps we should all take our various Carol POV to the Carol specific thread?

You've also only ever walked miles upon miles in your own shoes. Everyone processes life in their unique way. One baby is born, nothing bothers that child, not loud noises, not cigarette smoke, not being fed irregularly. Another baby is born who screams when certain textures touch her skin. Who know why everyone does life differently but we all do. Michonne turned herself into a living walker for who knows how long until she met Andrea, isnt that kinda the same as what Carol has done? Maggie is preggers but she's also fully mentally ready for war, isnt that same as what Carol has done in the (recent) past? Sure Carol can come across as a bit of a bitch sometimes but who doesnt? Seriously, name one human being who doesnt act like an entitled shit at SOME point in their life. Sure, no one should be like that ever, just like we should all treat each other with love and respect at all times....but we dont. Carol is not this horrible harridan intent on destroying the soul of every young person she comes across, in fact she's trying desperately to not ever _have_ to do anything like that ever again. She knows though that unless she just goes far far away OR kills herself she will have to kill again, she will have to do horrible, soul destroying things. She's fucked up...but so is Rick...and Michonne...and Coral...and Darryl....and Maggine...and Sasha...and Rosita...and Negan....and Eugene...and...and...and... They live in a sorrowful world full of sick and sickening choices.

I thought she was....Tara too (but Im a lesbian so...)

Dont forget, Negan is twisted! Today he shows up, ransacks your house and leaves with every towel, pillowcase, tee shirt, blanket and drape you have, on the way out the door he tells you that when he shows up next, he expects you to provide him with EXACTLY 43 eggs of silly putty, never opened. Next week, you give him that, he tells you he next wants EXACTLY 7 55 inch HD tv's WITH wall mounts. SOMETIMES it is about the amount of stuff. Other times it's about the quality of the stuff. Other ties it's about the uniqueness of the stuff. Hell, he might show up and demand EXACTLY 685 toothpicks. It is NEVER about the stuff, the amount, the whatever. It's about Negan controlling people and pushing them to the edge just to see what will happen. Im sure Negan is pretty freeking amazed he's got SO MANY people wrapped around his little finger.
-
It wasn't about "the cantaloupe", it was about Negan's need for total control. It was about Rat Boss's need to save face and keep control of his gang. It was about Richard's overwhelming guilt over the death of his daughter ages ago. It wasn't about that melon.
-
Anything that does that (before I can) needs to die. Take your pick, I think some of them look like insect anteaters.
-
Actually, if she had allowed him to go with her, the worst that would have happened to him would have been learning how to plant tomato seeds. She did exactly what you seem to wish she would do with all youth, push away.
-
Well consider this: Long Haired Asshole had just mortally wounded a young person, not Richard whom Rat-faced Boss had warned Zeke was going to be murdered if ANYTHING happened. Rat-faced Boss is pretty fucking over the whole thing, Negan, sadism, zombies, just fucking all of it so he just got his crew in the trucks and they drove away. Imagine the conversation on the way back to Neganville! Long Haired Asshole, "Oh shit man I blew that kids leg OFF! Im so rad! Negan's gonna let me have sexy times tonight for SURE!" Rat-faced Boss, "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Besides, the deal between the Saviors and the Kingdom seems centered solely around fresh veggies and pork, not guns and drugs.
-
It's not just because of Benjamin and Richard, it's also because Zeke knows the next delivery will be out of the stocks for his own people. That garden, the "royal garden" was not his special garden just for him, it was just for the Saviors and it's all burned up now.

My 20 year old kitten Zena died two weeks ago. She was pretty freekin great cat and I both miss her and am glad she passed. Being that old, she had problems with remembering where to pee and poo and that got real old. I just kept reminding myself, hey when Im 100 + years old, I'll be damn lucky if anyone cares enough to clean and feed me! I know what "rosebudding" is and that shit is dangerous. -

Right, just last week I overheard someone say something about cream pie, I thought they meant a delicious sweet treat so decided to google a recipe and..... -
Ive been saying this for weeks now! Melissa is an outstanding artist, I follow her on FB and her creations are just so damn amazing! Her only real problem vis a vis theatrical makeup is she has a problem with facial symmetry, you'll see it over and over in her work but sometimes it works. This time though, that robot head was wonky from it and her paint job couldnt save it (well, it kept them "safe" but only just) but seriously Keaghlan, whattheeverlovingfuck?!?!?!?

I think Savitar is Wally.

Because ASZ has solar power, fresh running water (for drinking as well as bathing and even toilet flushing and Im not talking about the pond Darryl set on fire last season), nice, solid houses and a very nice wall. It has a thriving community of generally nice people of all ages and it is their HOME. Why should they be the ones the leave? Fuck Negan! ASZ is worth defending.

Something else I am really tired of is, people who stopped watching the show (any show) and yet come to the forums to post about the show they dont watch. Invariably they say something like "I dont watch this shitty shitfest any more but I come here because yall still do and yall always validate my superior decision to stop watching the shit show. Yay me and my superiority!" and YET if you actually read all the comments, you will find a blend of reactions, some love it some hate it most are somewhere in between, but they're obviously searching for posts that validate their choice to dump the show and feel better about themselves, feel superior to the chumps who still find enjoyment in the show. Look, you dont watch the show? FINE go do what you enjoy and leave the show alone. They're like one of those people who yell and scream about "politics" and yet never vote, never become informed on the issues, never run for office never ever do anything but bitch about whatever doesnt suit them. How do they not understand that their opinion (on the show or on the politics) mean less than a frogs fart of they are not actively involved (with politics by voting at least, with a show by WATCHING it) and why the ever loving fuck do they think their opinion, on something they have no first hand knowledge of, means anything? Why is this even a thing that people would do? It's like.....going on Facebook to let everyone know you didn't shower today. I DONT CARE and you probably stink. UGH. So many shows I quit watching and when I did so, I quit the forums too! If I quit the show, I dont give a shit about the show, I do not need to go looking for validation by cherry picking forum posts that talk about how shitty said show is. /rant -

So I feel the need to say something not about the show but about this forum. Reading reactions to last night's episode "Say yes", Im struck at how divided we all are and also Im noticing a creeping tide of bitterness. I seriously hope this forum can avoid become the pit of bitter anger that is the Arrow forum. That forum is downright toxic and not at all pleasant to read, never mind trying to participate in (unless you hate Oliver and wish he would die in a fire or something). -
I enjoyed the hell out of this episode even if I thought the multiple sex scenes were a bit much you know what? So what! These folks have been in and continue to be in utter shit encrusted hell, why not have some fun wherever and whenever you can. Hasn't anyone read any historical accounts of Europe during the Black Death, bodies were found mid-fuck, point being even if you're dying some guesome, horrible death you may as well follow the wisdom of Janis (Joplin) and "get it while you can". I loved the carnival of walkers, so many little hints of other stories, it had several layers really. First layer, a carnival at a middle school. Happy families having fun when BOOM walker attack. Next layer the national guard moves in, establishes a base of operations then BOOM walker attack. Final layer some aweful person rounds up several people, ties their hands, hides them somewhere, they die and not so much BOOM this time but more like they finally get their moment to shine when Rick and Michonne somehow unknowingly release them. They were a "blink and you'll miss it" band of walkers but still, all those things are what still intrigue me about this world, all the hints at all the stories no one would ever know. Agree with everyone that Rosita is being ridiculous and she'll just get herself and or Sasha killed but probably not Negan. Agree with everyone else it was pretty shitty that Rick and Michonne spared not a word about the kids. Agree with everyone else that GPK just SUCK. Dont agree with anyone that Rick and Michonne lack chemistry. Dont agree with anyone that Michonne should always and forever be a cold, merciless weapon with a weapon no matter what. Dont agree with anyone that Tara is worthless and should die now. Dont agree with anyone that this was a boring episode! It was fun, it was exciting, it was thoughtful and it was sweet. Last thing I'll say is I really think TPTB mean for most of this back half the season to be seen as almost light hearted, fun and funny and bless them for trying even if they're kind of missing the mark on that.

Me too! She's got a cool artistic vision but she keeps a level head. I really want her to just go wild on the next challenge. She's got it in her she's just holding back for whatever reason.

When we got the news that my dad had died, I went completely silent, just withdrew. My sister on the other hand wailed at the top her her lungs and collapsed, as dramatic as the most dramatic wailing you've ever seen on tv except that this was real. It does happen in real life it's just that we're hardly ever in position to see it with other people, it's such an intimate moment in anyone's life. I still think Bellamy's was over-the-top and fake as shit.

Pretty much nothing in tonight's episode was from the book.
