Quite a few who would have said something to her face? Wow, I don’t have the words.
I've watched some random Say yes to the dress clips on Youtube and the stuff some people say to the bride is mean and horrible.

I think Anna's desperate to target something or someone in order to introduce reasonable doubt into the appeals trial. She is clutching at straws.
I think Crystal Ball Lady is also very desperate for clicks and makes stuff up.

Yeah, I really don't understand why people always think Jessa would like school or make a great career woman. She's lazy, uncomfortable outside of the Duggar bubble, and has zero curisosity about anything.

Maybe somebody (the documentary mentioned ??) looked into the fact that Erin's father in law married off his daughter to the anal rapist . There weren't many headlines about that and the few that happened were all about Tabitha's role as a Duggar tutor which let the Bates off the hook in a way .
That happened years ago and the rapist is not a Bates. Whatever it is, it has to be something about a Bates family member who is part of the show.

I wonder who tipped them off. It seems like TLC found out about Josh through the media or at least waited until it went public.
If the Bates did something illegal and are about to be charged, I don't think the cops will tell a TV network. If the people doing the documentary found something shady, I don't think they would give their findings to UP. They don't want to spoil their documentary.

I think it's possible Ben told Jessa not to say anything about his job. He doesn't seem to have any interest in being part of her videos.

How can it be possible for Crystal ball lady to obtain the jail log?

"Voir la traduction" ?
I'm not familiar with Instagram, but I'm guessing that the person who took that screenshot speaks french. That person's account asks to translate the post. It has nothing to do with Joy.

Just steak for their special Christmas meal? These two can’t be bothered to buy a side dish? Rubes.
What kind of meal is this? Not even some potatoes? Just steak on a plate?
And yes I know that for some families it would be a meal, but Jessa is not serving this because she's poor but because she's lazy.

I think Jill & Jinger have changed a lot since they got married because they left most of the Gothard stuff behind. They've move away from their parents's type of religion.
The only reason that happened is because they married guys who were not into Gothard.
IMHO, I don't think Derrick has changed at all, he's just the very religious conservative guy he's always been. He may have flirted with the Gothard stuff, but it didn't last long. He's also still yapping about his feud with JB.

I don't think Anna is going anywhere. She has no means to support herself. JB and Michelle are scum but I don't see them kicking her out. Unless she divorces Josh, but I that's very unlikely.

I'm thinking this is where the Duggar's seriously miscalculated. They figured the same people who would be able to brush aside what Josh did as a teenager as "youthful curiosity" or whatever would also push aside the CSAM. They put it in the same file as any porn and seemed to think it was a victimless crime. The way many of them joked and laughed and treated the trial like it was nothing serious UNTIL it got very serious reflects that I feel.
But it's sad and disturbing those people didn't think it was serious when he actually hurted the girls, girls that some of them actually knew.

One of the government witnesses did an AMA that's kind of interesting:
Is it just me or it seems like this guy didn't have a problem with the molestations but the CSAM shook him up?

His sketchy behavior predated their marriage and took place in their own household. They can't put any greater blame on Anna than themselves.
That's true, but in their religion, the wife is responsible if her husband seeks sexual satisfaction elsewhere. We don't know if the Duggars really believe or follow that, but it would not be surprising if they did. They probably thought Josh's sexual problems would be solved once he got married and had someone to have sex with.

Baldness can be genetically passed by both parents.
Plus, Hilaria feeds her children and doesn't dress them in Goodwill rejects.
To Jill, Hilaria is slut who wears pants. However, if Hilaria could be useful to Jill, she wouldn’t mind.

My (perhaps generous) reading on Derick is that he's there because he really does want the truth. He's the one least likely to buy JB's and Josh's bullshit. He'll want to make up his own mind based on evidence.
Plus, he's obviously interested in the law, and observing a trial is probably engaging enough on it's own for him. But I think at the end of the day, he does just want to have an informed opinion on Josh and his guilt.
I understand his interest in the law. However, I'm not sure about wanting to know the truth. With the Duggars and their adjacents, I'm always supsicious.

He's there because he gets to observe all the things he was taught in law school. Technique, jury reactions, judge's rulings, arguments for evidence. All of it. And it's relevant because he's related to the scumbag in question. If anyone I knew was going to court, I would be there too. There's nothing wrong with going to watch people you want to be like do their thing. And as for dressing up, at least he knows what is proper in court. If he's smart, he'd pass out some resumes while he's at it. Or maybe go study for the bar, lol.
I get that. But i just seems like he's trying to make himself look important.

He's just desperate for somebody to think he's a practicing attorney, thus wearing the suit every day and carrying the folder. Talk about thirsty for attention! Besides, what else does he have to do all day? And I don't buy him "being there to later advise Jill". That's what the REAL lawyers that are actually working the case do for folks testifying.
I really don't understand what's he doing there. He doesn't work for the prosecution or the defense. Why is he taking notes and looking like he's there on a professional level?

My guess is that it hits Joy hard because she's a true believer. She has probably truly believed that as long as she believed in God and followed all the Gothard rules, her life would go swimmingly. She had checked every single box, dotted all her i's and crossed her t's.
If she really believes the Gothard shit, she would thank Josh for making her a better person.
I know we all want to believe that the girls realize their brother is POS, but they could really just be uspet because Josh is being persecuted by the evil government.

I'm fairly certain that many of the Duggars believe that Josh was set up. They might think he cheats and does those "normal curious guy things" --- but in this particular case its the tabloids, the feds, the "others" who are out to bring Josh down. It's about the feds rushing to point the finger at the "celebrity."
That's the thing. We have no clue what they really think. Do they finally realize what a POS Josh is, do they think he's being persectuted by the evil liberals or something in between?

I feel bad for the kids but I don't think they will be shunned by that many people. How many of those fundies believe this is satan at work? Or equate this sin on the level of any other sin?
Exactly! No one was shunned when he molested kids, so I don't see anyone being shun now. They're the good kind of Christians so all is forgiven.
Anyone remember the convicted rapist who married the former Duggar's teacher? They had no problem wiht him.

I mean, he may think of Jill that way now, but it seems like it's also saying they were best friends then. And maybe he sincerely saw it that way, but it seems like he's trying to make their courtship seem a lot more normal than it was. I have a hard time believing that either one of them truly knew each other well enough to be legitimate best friends when they started their relationship.
THIS! Starting to date your best friend implies that the person was your best friend before you started dating. These people barely knew each other before they started seeing each other. It awlays annoys the heck out of me. He may have also said that because their spouses are alaways their best friends in their world.

Bringing this over from the Jed! and Bunkmate topic.
I've always wondered about how JB the jerk got along with the powers that be in IBLP/ATI. As soon as they got on TV and became famous, the Duggars were a big deal among the IBLP faithful, but I don't know that JB ever held any position in the organization. Yet Gil Bates was - and maybe still is? - on the IBLP board of directors.
Possibilities: (1) JB wouldn't find the time for any activity that didn't make him more children or more money, or that was something he couldn't be in 100% control of. (2) He's a jerk who doesn't work well with others, and nobody at IBLP wanted to have him around except to draw paying audiences at conferences.
Hmm. Maybe, all of the above?
Also wouldn't that be a job? I'm guessing he would have tasks to do, be there at a certain time and also answer to a boss.

Jill, Derick & the Kids: Moving On!!
in Counting On
Just my 2 cents :
1) We don't know if Derrick actually has a job or not.
2) Jill didn't make that baby by herself. It's both their decision.
