  1. Yeah, I had a classmate get WAY behind on two classes and got put on probation too. Knew another one where it was a double whammy of cheating and bad grades. They never got it together and were out the following year. Basically: "Two strikes and you are out."
  2. Yeah, I mean that attitude with adults or even teens today would make sense, but not back then. It's like how Tim had to feel he had to always one up something. At what point do you get hit with reality enough before you go: "Yeah, you know, maybe I should stop trying to do that."
  3. Hell, Lexi knew about it before she died. In my opinion it's a few years TOO LATE now. Plus, all those people as you mentioned who were affected by it are all long dead now or have since been fired or retired. Yes, I get it, Richard still feels guilt over it, especially since Ellis hid Maggie from him. Plus ,the fact that Richard feeling so guilty about it later is the reason why he and Adele never had children of their own. Of course, Adele being a former nurse and section manager and decided to be a "house wife" when Richard started excelling into his career in the late 80s and had been chief for several years never made sense since they had no kids and apparently Adele was bored at home.
  4. Right, but then you add into the crap that is the "gap year" with Junior and despite everything. Both Zoey and Junior need to be cut off or as Dre and Rainbow have been telling Junior: "Enough! Get yourself together!" I be telling him he had until May to "figure it out" if not. Get a job and go get an apartment.
  5. Oh I know, teacher here and sadly, I have been told stories or seen ones happen. You get a lot of these kids who are: "God, when high school is over, I'll have a life." Then they do these stupid things and guess what? Even with helicopter parents or people who give them every excuse in the book it's someone else's fault, it catches up with you. Was told a story of someone who barely made it through high school. Never wanted to do work, was always showing up late, various suspensions. They didn't go to college, but they brought this same attitude to the job world. Guess what? This person was fired constantly because they would go: "Well, I over slept." "Well, I'm not feeling good." "Why do I have to do this?" It's sad when they get a reality check or "their crew" gets over themselves, they still can't get it in their head, they have to use their brain and be a functioning adult, because someone isn't going to ALWAYS bail you out in life.
  6. Yeah, that rang false to me even back when it first showed. No way, they would have let that go. Hell, they would have held that more over Jill's head than Fred constantly bashing Tim or Lillian given her history, just not saying it in public. The sisters knowing? Oh yeah, that I can see. Of course this goes back to how Marty was some man-child. He saw his mother working so hard and the same with Tim. Yet he was: "Why do I have to work for everything, why can't it be easy?"
  7. Yeah no kidding, how about after the death of his son. You are really trying to tell me than neither Carter or what's her name didn't seek help? Hell, Carter was at least showing a few years later it was still sad for him, but his "wife" was still to the point she didn't want to talk about it. For all her money, she SHOULD have afforded therapy after something as hard as losing a child.
  8. I'm a teacher myself. In fact, we don't do any type of detention until at least the second week. Need time to have teachers in place, to get a real first few days under our belts and usually first days for most schools are half days. If there is a major problem, detention is not given until at least 2 days later after the first day and we are very strict on students serving.
  9. How about Luka. Being almost killed more than once, including being presumed dead in Africa. No, he's just great and wants to go back because he has nothing else.
  10. Vanessa all of a sudden was: "I was an exchange student and I loved it!" Never came up ONCE in the last 7 years. Then she tells Mike: "NO! I'm putting my foot down on this, I want this!" Mike: "You can do that?" First of all, shows almost a controlling relationship on Mike's side. Plus, what about ALL the other times Vanessa just let Mike, Ryan or the Girls just turn their noise up to Vanessa and convinced her to let them have their own way. NOW, she wants her own version of Eve so she can gang up on Mike? Because she has Empty Nest Syndrome? Don't even get me started on how stupid the Halloween episode was when Vanessa thought people were trying to trick her with a fake cop who was a real one. All screwed up because Kyle had to listen to Ryan and Kristin and couldn't feel his wallet in his side pocket to prove he owned the property? Seriously, how bad it's gotten.
  11. Or how about when after Abby was kidnapped and held at gunpoint by gang members to fix their fellow member. They went to the next episode going: "She is returning to work after a month." I wanted to go: "Did she see a shrink, because she needs one!" Of course everyone acting like Maggie disappeared was "like her" when no one didn't go: "Where the hell is she?" I mean she was held captive for close to 8 hours. Anyone else would be: "This isn't like her!" Instead everyone acted like she got up and disappeared from work when she was upset and no one batted an eye.
  12. It's like with "Cousin Oliver" They made her Eve, but supportive of Vanessa to gang up on Mike. People got tired of Mike and Eve ganging on up on Vanessa all the time. Reversing it hasn't do anything "new" it just shows it's repeating old stories. They have now turned Vanessa into an empty nester wanting kids around all the time. Now, with Kristin: "Boyd's getting too old now, and doesn't want to hang around me." Hey, Kristin, you and Ryan were still at a good age and so forth, you could of, you know HAD ANOTHER KID by now. Don't go complaining now you feel old because your pre-teen doesn't want to do things that HE KNOWS you don't like or do. Same goes for holding onto the Bud Shop, just sell the place off and take the money. Because let's face it, it's going to just take one thing Ryan doesn't like and he'll get bored and move on.
  13. The show has been on 7 years, they don't have to remind the audience EVERY season that Kristin had Boyd right out of high school. The story line was a retread once again about how Kristin or Ryan over react to things. Not that they didn't have the same issues from their own parents, but still. The show is just not there anymore.
  14. Right now, all shows are up in the air. Ratings aren't what they are on several of the older comedies. ABC has a lot of dying shows and it's starting to be a problem between: "we have nothing to replace it with." and "It's getting to expensive!"
  15. I wish Lilly's next line was: "Everyone hates you because you are a moron who can't catch a clue!"
  16. Problem with Michael is that it went so over board. At that point from what Debra and Ray said it had been almost a week. He was literally clinging to the bed to keep from going to school. Yet, do they call the school to find out what Michael doesn't want to go? Do they try to contact the teacher by email? No. Also the fact that both Ray and Allie say: "Why was she yelling?" Pretty much what Debra and Marie had become in the final seasons. Completely yelling: "I'm always right" bitches!
  17. Right, and was the problem, Maggie for apparently years has had this in her head that everyone is out to get her. She still has this: "I was the smartest baby in the room." Oh get the fuck over it! She hadn't seen that woman in years and yes, seeing someone who went out of their way to embarrass you. Yes, I be pissed off at them too. However, the article was clearly showing it was about being a patient. Not about how she operated on herself or magically put together a team of doctors to save her life. No, it was being on the other side of the room. The writers keep throwing this just like with Amelia still in her head that Owen wants Teddy, yet they prove they can't make it work and Owen is a moron. At some point you have to go: "Just stop!" "Get over yourself, you are an adult, this isn't junior high and be a professional." No one on the show rings about any maturity that they made it into medical school, let alone ever paid off student loans or anything. Of course they still have Alex and Jo living in a shitty small space. We don't need grand sets or anything Grey's. But for the love of God! Those these people can afford nice places.
  18. Basic law practice on a sitcom? Perish the thought! It's suppose to be funny, when it's not.
  19. Another thing is, they know that Koracick had a son who had cancer and died and it tore him and his marriage apart. But could any of them say that to Owen? No, why do that? Even Amelia couldn't tell him: "Owen, he loves kids, he had a son himself, until.. he died." It was just like for the 100th time Maggie crying: "They are out to get me, and make me look stupid and a little kid!" I'm glad Richard told her to stop acting like that, but for the love of God, Maggie! You are in your 30s, get over yourself. "I was so smart I was in med school at 16." I teach 16 year olds with more maturity than you. Stop with the stupid.
  20. I've read that various doctors like certain atmospheres. Some do want complete quiet, so if they hear something out of place they can react. Some want classical, others enjoy Today's Hits. Han's problem is he likes it a certain way can't stand it any other way. That's very box thinking for someone who wants to be open minded. As they say: "I'm not you! I'm me!"
  21. That's where is really just rang false. Let's face it, even 18 years later, things can haunt you. However, to have that kind of a trigger after so long, just doesn't make sense. It's so out of left field and it also paints Delilah as a true idiot for not know more about Jon's past. I can see him not sharing that, but to be so hit with survivor's guilt like that and even 2 kids later and a marriage he wasn't really honest in. To then all of a sudden be: "Well, I know my wife is sleeping with my friend, and I was trying to keep a 911 fund going, but that's all over now. Going to go leap to my doom." Then acting like his secretary was protecting some big secret. As I said several episodes ago, she protected nothing! Same goes with Rome now going to Regina about having a baby because now, she is facing her past. No, that is as stupid as Regina wanting Rome off the pills so they could have sex again. Neither of them are facing their REAL problems. Seriously, go see a damn shrink.
  22. But apparently Alex can't smell either, when he is right NEXT TO HER! How about how the fact that Helm tells Alex Mrs. Karev is here. Doesn't say: "Dr. Karev, there is a woman here who says she is your mother." Then she is just as dumb to think that Alex's mom is a doctor when you could clear see he was talking about Jo. I was very happy for Richard to tell Maggie to get over things. To stop always thinking everyone is out to kick the little kid out of the game and to start standing up for herself and stop acting like she is 10. GOD! Way over due! But yes, for such a landmark episode, this was just dumb and bad.
  23. That's the problem with the show this entire season. They are pulling out everything "other shows" have done the last 30 years, acting like it's genius writing. Even as said upstairs about just explaining how tampons and pads work and just moving on. No, it HAD to be a big deal. Same with the continuing problems with Haley and Dylan. Yes, they are trying to make Dylan look smarter, but making Haley so bad she doesn't know how to dress herself. Yet, then they have Dylan reacting to things where you go: "What the hell is wrong with you? If I say turn left, you don't turn right you dumbass!" You can't have it both ways. Even now, with how Haley doesn't know basic answers to baby questions or how to do a wrap after about 20 times and continues to not tuck the bottom in first as Dylan said. At one point, you remember things but once again: "See, she has pregnancy brain she doesn't even know what she did 2 seconds ago. Isn't it funny!" No, no it's not.
  24. Even when Greg said: "So do you want kid #4." I wanted to go: "Who the hell wrote this episode? They don't know the characters at all." If not only felt filler, but came out of no where.
  25. Yes, it was so bad in the last season on ABC. The writers just didn't know what to do with Eve and the final episode was so half assed you just wonder what was going on. Really, ABC should have said: "You know what, ratings are down, it's getting expensive, the politics are out of control. Let's just give you one more season, wrap this all up and let's all move on with their lives. Instead you got all this piece and as the old saying goes for those who wanted the show back no matter what. "Be careful what you wish for."
