  1. Cate has no chance if she sticks with Tyler. He's threatening to check out and become "hardened" but he's already done both. She has an addiction and she won't be able to address it and overcome it while he's still using and they're living together. She's self-medicating with pot and it's killing any motivation to "get better" and so it's a vicious cycle. She has to figure out some small changes to help with her self-esteem and go from there. She's 100% dependent on Tyler and he's a douchebag who's loving being the victim of her mental illness. It's painful to watch.
  2. I don't understand Kathryn's objection to Kensie being around alcohol at the polo event. Did I miss something along the way? It's not like anyone was taking Kensie to a house party at Shep and Whitney's or a late-night bar. What's the big deal about people having cocktails or wine at an adult event during the daytime even if a toddler is running around? I really didn't get that.
  3. We sleep trained our daughter too (and continue to give her a refresher when she needs it) but I don't believe this is what Janelle was doing when she dumped Kaiser. A good parent doesn't choose to sleep train when there are reality show cameras in the house. A good parent has a nighttime routine and some winding down time with the baby before leaving them to fall asleep on their own. Janelle, on the other hand, pretty much throws Kaiser in his crib with a bottle when she can't deal.
  4. I wish they'd done old school! I hardly remembered any of the people on the Love episode except for Pedro in the last two minutes. I do recall Madison and Tony and was shocked they stayed together for any amount of time and then had a baby.
  5. You're right, and he also shouldn't be in a front-facing car seat until age 2.
  6. I really truly hope that psychological help was offered before month 11 or 12 and it was just edited the way we saw it. How many hundreds of thousands of dollars of bills did she run up with all of the emergency care, heart-monitoring, in-patient restricted diets, etc? If people were offered quality psychological care at the beginning and throughout their journeys, it would be a better setup for success. It drove me crazy to see her relapsing over and over and over again, and acting so helpless. But one of the things she said that really rang true was about wanting Gilbert to take care of her -- I can't remember exactly how she phrased it. Even though he was a cheater, she felt she had no other options than to stay with him and to be bedridden so he would have no choice but to be her caregiver. So messed up.
  7. How old is Addy in the episodes that are airing now? I have a 22-month-old who loves to play with sugar packets at restaurants but it would never occur to her to ask for help opening them. Which is probably because we feed her real food multiple times a day, I guess.
  8. Oh, I see what you're saying now. I think the doctor was mentioning Make A Wish as a separate topic. Though it's unclear to me why he thought it was appropriate to bring it up, it seemed like he was saying that they should think about it while Ali still had the strength and mobility to do whatever it is she wishes for. Since Leah can't even be bothered to feed her kids, I'm not surprised that she didn't have the wheelchair fixed but I am surprised Corey didn't deal with it, unless Leah was just not cooperating with him as usual.
  9. Janelle snapping at Barb, "Don't tell me how to parent" was beyond ridiculous. Barb was clearly concerned that Kaiser was left to cry, and Janelle's response was that he was "fighting his sleep." I get babies being overtired and I know sometimes they need to cry a little before they fall asleep, but that poor kid was either teething or sick and was basically thrown in his crib with some juice to figure it out himself. Not exactly the way to set a baby up for good rest, Janelle.
  10. Make-A-Wish is not financial help -- it's literally granting wishes for people who are usually terminally ill or whose health is severely compromised. It's an amazing organization, 60 Minutes recently did a feature on it.As for the broken wheelchair, it is beyond me as to why they wouldn't get it fixed.
  11. One of Farrah's bitchiest comments was, "This is how you ring shop in Austin." Like it's so small town they don't have expensive enough rings to show her. Send her to Tiffany or Cartier in LA and show her the $60k rings. Because apparently she already owns plenty of jewelry that costs more than $17k. She's disgusting, her mentality and the way she treats people. And she has the nerve to call Larry the Exec Producer "white trash."
  12. Caitlyn needs some cognitive behavioral therapy. Trying to get to the "root" of her anxiety and depression doesn't seem to be working or helping her. She needs to learn to reframe her thoughts and she needs some tools and coping skills.
  13. I bet she regrets saying that on camera. But the newborn phase is really hard and really exhausting and hormones are raging. Some people love taking care of newborns but not all moms do. It seems like she's doing better now that Lincoln is more interactive and engaged, I was the same with my daughter. It was nice to see her get emotional with him after her first day back at work.
  14. This jezebel article has a pretty cynical take on this couple and some interesting links: http://jezebel.com/tlcs-rattled-brings-yet-another-ivf-family-to-prime-tim-1756900724 It was driving me crazy that all the gifts/donated stuff the husband was showing off was half packed up and disorganized. Their house reminded me of all of the homes on the shows about polygamists like Big Love and (pre cul de sac) Sister Wives. Is that just a Utah thing?
  15. I totally missed him saying that they had planned a home birth and I was wondering why they didn't go to the hospital when her water had broken 2 hours earlier. His tshirts were embarrassing and his attitude at the hospital was awful. The doctors and nurses are telling you your newborn's blood sugar isn't stable and you think you know better? I just can't. Nice that they got donated pumped milk but formula is not poison (which he was basically implying.) I'm curious to see what how he handles life with a newborn when they get their baby home.
  16. When Ashley pulled that cupcake box out of her bag, she had both bags over her shoulder and her car keys out. Looked like she was about to walk out the door.
  17. Dear lord. I hoped I was seeing things. Why would anyone wear something a top like that with their own last name, much less some Teen Mom's?
  18. What was the writing on Kailyn's shirt when she was sitting outside with her friends in Florida? I saw "love" and "Lowry" -- isn't that her last name?
  19. We found out our baby's gender at 12 weeks with a genetic test. It's relatively new and insurance covers it if you're over 35 in NY state (not sure if it's covered for other reasons but that was mine.) They test the fetal DNA through the mother's blood so super safe.
  20. I don't think that's automatic if assets are in a trust, which is the case with the money from Sam's mom. I'm pretty sure a will would specifically state otherwise. And it's likely set up that Sam and her brother get x amounts disbursed from the trust when they reach certain ages. It's both sad and creepy how desperate Erik is to be close to and accepted by Nadine's dad and brother. I think he referred to him as "Dad." Give it a little time for relationships to evolve naturally! I get that that's not his M.O. but just because they're your wife's relatives, you're not instant super close family.
  21. In the scene where it looked like Gary and his girlfriend were putting together a bunk bed, she's obviously pregnant.
  22. Oh, I totally thought it was the same guy who said "irregardless" both times. I've been watching this show since the original NY season and can't believe I've been sucked in again. At first I pegged Madison for having had an eating disorder but maybe it's drugs if she was stealing from her family. In that mug shot (?) she looked like one of the meth people on Intervention.
  23. No, Molly is a synthetic form of Ecstasy, it's not synthetic marijuana, although they may have been smoking that too. Ecstasy (as I knew it in the late 90s) at least had some pure MDMA in it but Molly now seems to be a bunch of different crappy chemicals. More facts from CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2013/11/22/health/9-things-molly-drug/?c=&page=1
  24. MTV.com has update videos. Sophia is not pregnant...there's about 8 more minutes of the video but I couldn't stand to watch it. Kenny moved in with Victoria and now she's pushing for marriage. I fast forwarded the other couple because I found them so boring. They're still together.
  25. I found all of these people pretty boring except for Victoria who was also totally crazy. The show ended without the usual TL updates, but there are update clips on the MTV site. Victoria pushed Kenny into moving in on the show and now she's pushing for marriage. Run, Kenny, run!
