  1. I see a bunch of acting. They're all laying it on too thick with this "living their best lives" thing. And the mob mentality vitriol directed at Kody (who, admittedly, has his faults) on this site and Reddit is downright disturbing. Guess people love to have someone to hate! As for his children, that's called "alienation of affection," and it's not uncommon in divorce. If you don't believe Christine, at least, has bad-mouthed and vilified him and Robyn to her and Janelle's kids from sun-up to sundown for years, I have a bridge to sell you. Heck, she can't stop doing it even now that she's supposedly happy with another man. Please. (Again, that's assuming it's real.)
  2. Unpopular theory: the producers have hit upon a magic formula. Kody is evil, and all the ex-wives are goddess heroines. He's willing to take the bad edit for the sake of ratings and that sweet, sweet TLC money. They're all in on it and laughing all the way to the bank (especially Meri, who can't seem to stop laughing). Without this, the show would be cancelled; now it's more popular than ever. Bitter ex-wives out in viewing land just eat this up. You're all being punked, but hopefully having a good time in the process? Next: trouble in paradise for Kody and Robyn. The audience will just love that "karma." (It beats the "90 Day Fiancé" franchise.)
  3. OMG; this woman! I don't even believe she's having "panic attacks." She just doesn't want her daughter to leave home and have her own life. And cutting short that poor little doggie's one and only walk. Ugh!
  4. For parents who are supposedly setting their kids up for success, they sure have a lot of failures! Only Anna, who has received no nurturing at all from them, has struck out on her own and built a life by sheer force of her own will with ZERO support from her "loving" family. Amber, in fact, encourages dependence in all of her family members. They've always treated Anna differently - and horribly - and that's quite obvious to me.
  5. I'm watching the rerun years later, but isn't it extremely obvious that Ashley has some kind of hormonal or metabolic disorder (Cushing's Disease?). Her body shape, the discoloration, etc. Dr. Now can't recognize that? '
  6. I think Meri has a pretty boring life, is now living in a deadly dull place, isn't close to her only child, and has "paid" friends. Doesn't Jen technically help run the B&B since Meri's mother died? I can't believe she packed and hauled dead flowers to Parowan... If Christine had any way of showing Kody her and David doing "the wild thing," she would. She came close giving the lap dance and practically eating his face off. She is ridiculous... (David doing "the wild thing" better than Kody did, it goes without saying.)
  7. It's not uncommon to change jobs within the state system; people do it all the time. You're still vested in the same pension plan. I seriously doubt that the college job was his FIRST job at that age.
  8. I'm pretty certain Trent is retired from his state job and the whole "quitting" thing was producer-driven. You don't need that many years to collect your pension and are allowed to buy some time besides so, at his age, it's entirely doable. He seems to have been too responsible his whole life to just walk away, and once you've given decades to a pension job and are vested, you don't give it up easily. That and the TLC money has them sitting pretty, I'm sure. I, too, feel bad for gentle, easy-going Bryce getting mixed up with this grasping, controlling family. Liz wants him to be something other than what he is and is going to be forever picking at him and snarking on him. and that's going to be hard to watch. He's in the soup forever now and doesn't yet realize what a life that's going to be. He had nearly escaped, but then... Oops!!! He just had to "come visit Miller." ;)
  9. Is this a "thruple," LOL? Hearing that she's divorced, I can't help but wonder if she ended up with her live-in BFF, which whom she shared food orgies and seemed to have much more fun. Why does Krystle A. use two different voices? A slow, meek one with the doctors, and a much more assertive one with others and in her voiceovers. It seems manipulative... (looking for the live chat, just for reading purposes)
  10. Me! Within about five minutes, Trent and Amber had me all stabby again. It'll be sad, but interesting, to see that family rift with poor Anna play out...
  11. Just me, or was Robyn totally throwing Kody under the bus with that pastor, claiming she's a devout polygamous, but her husband doesn't want to anymore??? Also, Robyn, that interview was supposed to be about the girls; not your private counseling session.
  12. I'm so confused about the t-shirt quilt. Are they whole t-shirts just folded? Does he want to wear them again? Why doesn't she just mail the whole quilt? Why is poor Jen being forced to spend the day cutting them out? Is she Meri's paid friend/companion? Why can Meri not shut up about Kody for five minutes? If she didn't want anything of Kody's, why did she move that big tub with the quilt in it Parowan? So many questions...
  13. People conveniently forget that in the Mormon tradition, kids are "adults" and leave home at 18. Particularly the boys are kicked out - sometimes even earlier. That's the culture Kody was raised in and all four women purported to believe in and support.
  14. Well, they have to have story lines other than "Me and David!" I just wish all of Meri's didn't still center around Kody. Having him help move her, discussing him with various sets of friends who must be sick to death of this subject, changing her name, and now cutting up their quilt; what?
  15. If Christine's wedding is any indication, SHE'S now the queen, and HER daughters will be the ones having royal weddings. David must be loaded!!!
