Wow. That's a hard line. Pub crawls are fun at any age. They typically have a theme around them and they're a good way for people to meet. They aren't "questionable." Sure, there's always a chance of drunken stupidity. But you don't need a pub crawl for that to happen. Pub crawls are generally harmless fun for pretty much any age. Have you heard of Roper Romps? Definitely NOT questionable -- actually a very good time, with many folks far past the age of 30. https://www.hometownlife.com/story/news/2024/06/07/roper-romp-milford-threes-company-wigs-robes/74008607007/ “People who know Mrs. Roper are over 50-ish,” the Brighton resident said “We just don’t give a crap.” Tracy Hill of Novi agreed. “At this age we just want to have a carefree mentality and spirit,” she said. “Mrs. Roper seems to embody that for us. Helen was kind of free spirited, so when the Roper Romps became a thing we were like, ‘Hey, we’re going to get together, go out and do this bar crawl.’” . . . “It’s so fun getting out of your head and being OK with being absurd,” she said. “It’s so freeing. Sometimes people are like ‘Oh, what will everyone think?’ But you go out looking as absurd as you possibly can, and you bring so much joy to people walking by. It’s such a frickin’ cool thing.”

Agree with everything you said -- with all the security in place, there's no way he would have been able to get anywhere in their systems without alerts pinging left and right. He only knows about the security they told him about -- any company who has that kind of security will also have keystroke tracking and a lot of other stuff. I'm not even going to touch her remote-ing in like she's the IT helpdesk checking someone's settings. I will say re: the screenshot, tho', I'm a Mac user and have been for years -- I have no idea how to take a screenshot on a PC other than going through the snip tool, so I'll grant the not knowing how to do a screenshot. But again, a company with all that security is going to have some sort of capability to prevent screenshotting -- hell, I tried to take a screen grab of a show to put on a post here and it was blacked out -- there was a control to prevent unauthorized recordings/screen grabs. Other than a sniper not being able to take Taylah out as she ran down a fully exposed path with no one else on it, this episode got the biggest eye rolls so far. We'll see how they bring this all together, because there's no way he's just going to be able to go off and live a happy carefree life under a new identity. He's too single-mindedly focused on the maths, so he's not going to be renting out wakeboards at some remote tropical resort. Either he's going to be forced to work for the NSA, kidnapped and forced to work for whomever paid to keep him alive by offing Kasim, or he's going to be taken out. I bet they'll come up with some convoluted nonsense tho', which will be disappointing, because overall this has been a decent watch.

OMG. That scene with Heather Headley telling the story of Eric getting her out of the car made all this terrible schlock worth it. More of THAT please!!!

I LOVED this show--I'm so glad it's on Hulu. I've watched it probably twice already. Season 2 got a little too woo-woo but season 1 was killer. The episode with George Michael hiring Eli to defend the high school student is my favorite episode of all. This show proved you can successfully incorporate musical numbers in a show. I forgot Laura Benanti was in it--I wish we'd seen a bit more of her and Nate's relationship but I'm sure it was scheduling availability for her. Victor Garber singing "Don't let the sun go down on me" 😍😍😍 Eli calling Jordan (Garber) a George Michael "fan boy" and Jordan's response was just an all-time great TV moment. And of course "Dottor a-Chen". And George. Freakin'. Michaels. Can you tell I LOVE this show???

They must have hired a new social media manager, because their Insta this season has been stellar. Nelly was the perfect person to do this! https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDr-V_yAh2d/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Awww . . . baby Dylan at the beginning -- so stinkin' adorable! I think once he got in his head, he just couldn't get back into the groove, but out of all of the "since the show ended. . ." updates, his made me the happiest (and they ALL make me happy). Georgie's showstopper has to be what sealed the deal for her -- both her decorations and her flavors were on point. I'm so glad Paul held her to rolling down the hill if she won -- that was great. I was on edge the whole episode wanting each of them to pull it off, but knowing only one could. I managed to avoid being spoiled on Instagram . . . @MartyQui it wasn't easy, so I feel for you! The family interviews and updates always get me. Definitely had tears in my eyes more than once in this final.

Was it definitely her? I thought it was an Easter egg--I was just coming here to ask if anyone else caught it. Just the extra rose of icing on a beautiful cake. Edit to add: I think you're talking about not-a-girl but there was an Eleanor Shelstrop shout out in the classroom, which is what I'm referencing. They show the back of a student standing up and she's wearing a white sweater that has rainbow stripes around the collar and the same haircut and color as Eleanor. It's a very intentional shot. This was a wonderful, bittersweet, touching, and heartwarming show. My mom developed early onset Alzheimer's when she was 52 so this show was a gut wrencher for me at times. Someone in that writers' room definitely has a relative with Alzheimer's or they put the time and effort into observing and really understanding the onset of the disease. The two scenes that really got me were when Charles was explaining to his daughter that he'd broken his promise to Victoria and was putting her into memory care. Having to make that decision for my mom really broke my dad. The second was the second to last scene when the woman with Alzheimer's was gently petting the stuffed dog Charles had given her. My mom had a stuffed seal that she was attached to in that way. I held onto that seal for a really long time. 😢💜🥰 -
But they all visit each other. . . . I follow several former bakers and they often get together with bakers from their seasons 1:1 and as a group. Hell, Matty had all of the bakers from his season at his wedding. I love both of them, but do not understand why every male/female interaction has to have an are they/aren't they spin. Didn't the media do it with Chigs and Lottie too? Its a bit of a sore spot with me for reasons, but still. Either speculate for everyone when they catch up, regardless of gender, or just leave it alone. They are both cutie pies, no matter what!

This was one of those themes that could have been stupid but they did okay. A couple of years ago, 70s week would have been something like "make a disco ball that rotates and suspend it from a roller skate lace"--SO glad the show runners paid attention and brought the show back to what it's actually about--good, quality baking by talented home bakers. If you follow GBBO on Instagram, they posted pics of Allison when she was little in the 70s. She was laughing even then. In the list of people I want to drink with in a pub, she is pretty close to the top!!! Hell, I bet even just a Target run with her would be crazy fun!!

When I read the description, I immediately thought of the Bradley Cooper episode, in which the student ran into him at the deli across the street. And they didn't disappoint -- in the scene where Barbara and Melissa were picking up their Italian subs, on the board behind the deli owner? A signed picture of one Bradley Cooper. Its those through-details that make a really great show. And this is a really. great. show.

Orlando Jones as Gregory's father remains some of the best tv casting ever in terms of resemblance and believability.

I want to love this because David Tennant makes anything great and Aidan Turner is Aidan Turner but I am just not getting into this. Is this a "you really need to have read the book to appreciate it" show?

Quoted the wrong comment. I like the idea of Ash taking Laurent to fill the void of losing his son -- we know that D & C are headed to Spain next season and it would be a good way to close the book on the messiah child story. Funny, because I hated the kid the first season but he's finally grown on me the past two episodes, because he's acting like a normal kid and not some all-knowing, all-feeling whatever. . . .

The catacombs in Paris are indeed very real. https://www.catacombes.paris.fr/en# There's many, many steps you have to take to get down into the catacombs. Unrelated to the convo but what I think of every time I see them in a show or movie . . . I had a ticket to tour them but blew out my knee and spent the day with an ice pack on my knee. I was really upset as the catacombs were one of my absolute musts on that trip. . . they apparently are quite something to see, and easy to get lost in (but they don't allow tourists into a lot of the areas. This was a good episode -- they moved the plot along nicely and Coudron is a good addition to both the badassery and redemption themes that define Carol and Daryl's character arcs.
