  1. Does anyone know how long it will roughly take for Lydia to legally come back to the States? Are we talking months? Years?

I just wonder how things will pan out for her and Trace. If she was pulling a Fundie 90-Day from jump, she may not be super attached to him. I don't wish doom and gloom on their relationship, but crazier things have happened. She may get back to Germany and like it, she may not want to be separated from her family, she may meet some hot Euro boy who doesn't make her slouch in pictures. It'll be interesting to see how this tests their marriage.

  2. I haven't seen the video, but one thing I've noticed is John and Alyssa seem to spend little, if any, one-on-one time with the kids. I mean, John does that bullshit Daddy/Daughter date a whopping one time per year, but that's more about reinforcing gender roles than it is bonding with the girls. They don't even hide the fact that the only kid who matters is Rhett. If they're this obvious on camera, I can't imagine how bad they are behind closed doors. I'm not surprised Zoey is starved for attention.

Quoted on Reddit: "They owed $9,000 USD in fines when they left Germany." I wonder if those fines are still in force, and if so, whether they have anything at all to do with the Romeikes not wanting to go home.

Wow, they're in quite the pickle. Can't stay in the U.S., and 9k is a pretty steep bill for a guy who tunes pianos. If the German authorities went so far as to take the kids at one point, I'm guessing they're not the warm and fuzzy types who'll erase a fine.

What happens if the Romeikes simply don't deport? Given how eager they are to portray themselves as martyrs, I can see them hiding out and refusing to go. If they haven't even gotten the passport applications in motion, it doesn't sound like they plan on leaving.

On another note who brings their kids out barefoot and in buckle shoes to some large park like place? Oh wait, we all no who - C&E.

I know, did you see poor Layla trip and fall as she was trying to climb the path up to the slide? Meanwhile, Khloe in sneakers races right past her. That's C&E, though. Life is just a giant photo shoot. Practicalities like comfort and safety aren't a priority.

  5. Does anyone know if Carlin and Evan have given a recent update on Layla's growth issues?

The reason I ask is because Carlin posted reels of a family outing today. Khloe and Layla were standing together and I was shocked at the difference in size. Khloe is a head and a half taller, but I don't think there's a big age difference. I know everyone develops at their own pace, but it doesn't seem like Layla's changed much at all. Even in Alyssa's videos, it seems like Maci went from baby to little girl overnight. Hopefully Evan and Carlin are at least keeping on top of it and following up with their pediatrician (insert obvious laughter, here).

I wouldn’t trust Trace to take care of the cat solo.

Speaking of which, what's going to happen to poor Maui? I can't imagine Trace is going to want to go through the headache of getting the proper health certificate so Maui can travel (not to mention pay the fees), so I imagine he'll be left behind. I pray they at least contact a reputable rescue and don't give him to the Bates. Maui is deaf and can't be an outdoor cat, and Kelly has previously said she doesn't like animals in the house.

  7. GoFundMe for attorney's fees coming in 3, 2, 1.....

The petition reminds me of a Dateline episode I watched where a high school jock was arrested for murdering his father. His classmates rallied around him, signed petitions and protested at the courthouse. When interviewed, the D.A. rolled her eyes and said she prosecutes or dismisses based on evidence, not who's voted Most Popular in the senior yearbook. I imagine immigration judges operate in a similar fashion.

It's all a bit confusing, but based on what I'm reading here, the Romeikes have been ordered to leave and they're doing a big publicity blitz hoping someone in the government can get the decision reversed? Is that even possible?

I like to think of youtube vlogs the same way as a podcast... it's familiar, comforting, and sometimes it helps one not feel so lonely (sort of like talk radio back in the day).

That's so true, like the one girl who does true crime stories as she puts on her makeup. It's such a bizarre combo, but her content is really interesting and oddly relaxing.

I also agree 100% about the kids. As I mentioned previously, I follow several lifestyle vloggers. None of them heavily feature their kids. You might see a glimpse of them from the side or the back, but not enough to where fans could develop an unhealthy attachment. I feel like Evan and Carlin crossed the line a long time ago in this regard. Layla is so stage-managed and the way she plays to the camera is a bit unsettling.

  9. Wow, what a mess.

If Trace goes to Germany, wouldn't he be facing the same sort of issues, but in reverse? I don't know anything about their system, but I'm assuming they have similar style visas and requirements for residency. I doubt Trace can just plop himself down over there for the next several years and spin his wheels while Lydia reapplies. And to that point, could he even afford it? Lydia could presumably start a photography business, but what would Trace do? I don't wish bad on anyone's relationship, but I can see this going south pretty quickly.

  10. Yeah, they're all definitely missing the mark. I follow several homemaking vloggers, and they'll do "Clean With Me" videos, however the content has a clear focus. The vlogger will detail their methods and routine, give tips and hacks, product recommendations, etc. It's not just "watch me do shit." I think Erin was trying to go for a more tutorial vibe, but didn't pull it off effectively.

Trace's interpretation and blatant politicization of the facts as told by Lydia's family was disturbing to me, as was his ignoring the plights of so many others without her family's resources and clout.

I was about to say, if worse comes to worst, Lydia's family moves back to a rich European country that has great schools, low crime and affordable health care. It's not like they're being shipped off to Somalia or Afghanistan. 🙄

  12. Chad sounded so drained at the end of the video. I don't know why they keep having kids.

Do they still have their dog? I've never seen it inside the house, but if it's an outdoor pet, I'm surprised it didn't alert them the night the coyote nabbed the goat.

I co-sign Erin's appreciation for the steam mop. Those things are awesome and a great alternative for people who don't want to use chemicals on their floors.

I know Carson is a serious kid by nature, but there's always an aura of sadness around him. Does he have any friends or get to socialize with other kids at all? Maybe he's worn down by a household that's 24-7 Jesus, but I don't get the sense there's much joy in his life.

  13. Layla is enrolled in dance!!!

Wow, they actually followed through. Even if E&C are just taking her for content purposes, it's still a win. Layla seemed genuinely thrilled with her first class.

Meanwhile, Alyssa's latest clickbait video was a "week full of sports," which consisted of her daughters sitting on the sidelines watching other kids have fun. 🙄

  14. Wow, what a match. Congrats to Daniil. Should be a good final.

Unrelated to tennis: What is going on with Tom Brady's face? He looks like he's made out of Silly Putty.

    Sabalenka's noise making is ridiculous.

It's absurd. I don't know how that level of shrieking isn't considered a hindrance.

Someone might want to tell the climate nutters most glue is petroleum based. 🙄

NYPD should've yanked his dumb ass up and left the soles of his feet there.

I think Alyssa finally realized some people thought it was creepy so she doesn’t tag her or mention her, so who knows. Maybe Tikky smartened up and realized she wasn’t really a sweet friend after all.

I remember Alyssa dodging multiple questions about who was sending the dresses. When she finally owned up to it, one of her followers asked if Tikky was a boutique owner. Logical assumption, as many influencers are sent free clothes. Tikky got all defensive and posted "I'M A FRIEND!!!," in response. I think Alyssa threw Tikky enough crumbs to make her think she was part of the Bates clique, but she was clearly and obviously being used.

  18. I'm picking Coco to win the third, but it's pretty dang impressive Caroline has been able to hang this long. It seems like the game gets bigger, stronger and faster every year. When you're absent for any length it's like playing in a whole different atmosphere.
