  1. I'm not a fan of Caroline's outfit, but yikes, she looks amazing. I would never guess she'd had two kids and been off the tour for years.

Ten thousand a month? I wouldn't be surprised.

I wouldn't either, especially if they pay for their own health insurance. I remember when Kail from Teen Mom was battling it out with one of her baby daddies over child support, and she listed in court papers that she paid $1800/mo for her family's health insurance. Given Carlin's, ahem, issues, I would imagine they must have some form of coverage.

Eta: Are they down to one car now or does Carlin still have her SUV?

At some point, they’ll be bankrupt.

100%. I don't know if you follow the subReddit, but someone over there researched and estimated E&C's monthly payment for the Tesla is well over $2,000. Obviously that's variable depending on if they financed, leased, put a hefty amount down, etc., but even so, that car is costing them a bundle. They do have several streams of income, but those are entirely dependent on their popularity. If BSB somehow manages to last another decade, E&C's lifestyle will still take a hit if their YouTube and Instagram bottom out.

  4. Shilling the gambling app is particularly crummy given how destructive a vice it is. Wasn't that the big controversy with sites like Draft Kings and Fan Duel, that they were luring teens in by framing gambling as a fun, harmless hobby? Now Evan and Carlin are claiming they play online slots every night before bed? They are truly awful, shameless people.

I believe the YouTube numbers are fairly accurate. Travis and Katie are on a high thanks to giving birth to an exceptionally photogenic baby. The numbers will probably dip once Hailey gets older, but I'm sure by then #2 will be on the way, so it won't matter.

  5. Per Chad and Erin's latest video: they built a new goat pen after one of the animals was killed by a coyote. I try not to be judge-y about these sorts of things, because I know sometimes you have to live and learn, but didn't Chad grow up on a farm? He was genuinely shocked to learn coyotes can scale fences and jump significant heights. I live in Las Vegas and there were two big coyotes running around my neighborhood last year and I watched them scale walls as easy as the rest of us walk two steps up the stairs. The flimsy wire fencing they have on their property couldn't keep out a tumbleweed, let alone a predator. I'm a bit surprised Chad wasn't more educated on this sort of thing.

He also noted they have bears and bobcats in their area, so it's a miracle the entire herd hasn't been picked off.

The Stewarts are at Dollywood - his family is there too. First Carlin writes on one part of the reel, "the sparkle in her eyes are worth it". The were on a ride, Layla's eyes looked scared and her face looked nauseous. Nary a sparkle. Next up, Evan is on a ride with Layla. He's sitting behind her holding his phone in front of her filming her, while on the sideline Carlin is holding Zade, filming him while he's watching the ride. THESE POOR KIDS!

Oh and Carlin was feeding Zane from an entire loaf of freshly fair baked cinnamon bread.

I saw that and thought the same thing! I thought Layla looked scared on the ride and exhausted on the ground. I didn't see any sparkle at all.

  7. I can give them a pass on the first scheduling mishap. They're not the sharpest tools and it's easy to miscommunicate when you're being overwhelmed with information. However once it was made clear the onus was on them to make the appointment, Carlin should've been on the phone that day, taking whatever was available. I've always found their logic strange. Calling in October and being told they can't schedule til January doesn't mean call back in January and get in a week later, yet that's how they seem to be interpreting things. Either they really are that dumb or they're willfully ensuring this test never happens.

  8. I think Katie felt guilty for rushing everyone up to NJ the moment she felt a twinge in her abdomen, only for them to spin their wheels because she really wasn't in labor. Based on what I've seen as she's gone through various health issues, she has a tough time advocating for herself. I'm assuming it's a by-product of growing up in a family where your feelings were ignored. However, you'd think Carlin, of all people, would be in tune to her sister's needs and take the hint to go home.

With regards to the cash and carry, it was beyond ridiculous to drag Layla and Zade, especially on the heels of a nine hour drive. Carlin and Evan could've hired a sitter so the kids could spend the day at home, resting away from the chaos, but nope, no chance. Mommy needs her props so her fans can gush over them and give her compliments.

I didn't realize they'd camped out the entire time Whit was in the hospital. Maybe Whit didn't mind, because let's face it, who really cares when you're on your fifth kid, especially in a family where someone's giving birth every month, but do Evan and Carlin really have nothing better to do?

I imagine a LOT of reality has hit them in the faces in 8 mos. It's very possible that they moved thinking this new church family would somehow bless them with a house and now they're realizing that won't be happening.

Yep. This. I remember Erin gushing before the move, saying they visited this church several times, the people were amazing, so welcoming, etc., etc. I'm sure she had visions of someone handing them a quaint farmhouse on four acres and only expecting them to pay $500/mo. along with an endless stream of church ladies volunteering to babysit and help around the house. Whatever they were promised to seal the deal doesn't seem to have materialized, nor do any details on how they're "helping" this church.

They certainly wouldn't be the first couple to get excited over a new opportunity only to realize they don't like where they're at, but what exactly is their long term plan? Do Chad and Erin want to be 40 and still relying on friends for discounted housing? Maybe their faith really is that strong, but for me that would be a terrifying way to live, especially with six kids in tow.

Erin and Chad I think have found out that they are now little fish in a big pond in Florida vs being big fish in a small pond.  Maybe they should have done some research before moving to the more expensive state of FL.

That's my take as well. When Chad said work was "tricky," I knew the immediate translation was "There aren't as many rubes in Florida willing to take a gamble on an unlicensed contractor as there are in Tennessee." FWIW, I don't know why he won't just suck it up and get licensed. It would allow him to take bigger, higher paying jobs. He'd have to carry liability insurance, but surely whatever he'd make in earnings would offset those costs.

It's weird because they act like the move was the best thing ever, but they haven't even been there a year and they're already considering moving back to TN? I wonder if whatever shady pastor lured them down there pulled some kind of bait and switch?

I also agree about Carson. The kid's eight. It's not like he's the President of the United States and his name is etched in plaques and statues. I know several people who started going by their middle names in high school. As mentioned above, it's really not that hard of a transition. The poor boy's life is already a dreary grind as it is. At least let him go by the name that he wants.

They're sure blowing through Tiffy's trust fund at an alarming rate.

They really are. Neither one has worked since their wedding, they've done multiple overseas vacations and a full house reno. Tiffany has some good acting credits, but come on, she wasn't a child star on the level of the Olsen twins, Hillary Duff or Miley Cyrus. She probably does well off her income properties, but I don't think she has "set for life" money. Her parents had to co-sign for the Nashville house.

Lawson's proven he knows how to work and save, as evidenced by him supporting Gil and Kelly for years, but his music career's been circling the drain for a while. There's no way his sales and ticket revenue covers the costs of recording, mixing and mastering, music videos, touring, etc. At this point it's a money pit and a vanity project, not a job.

If they’re still in the hospital, they could’ve just ordered their own breakfast from the hospital’s menu. During my last 2 hospital stays, the food was surprisingly good.

I was hospitalized for a couple days last year and couldn't believe how good the food was. You could also check off as much stuff on the menu card that you wanted. I agree with everyone that Carlin bringing breakfast wasn't so much a nice gesture as it was her looking for any excuse to be in the mix.

Plus they avoid the filmed for SM gender reveal and the look of disappointment if it’s a girl.

Josie says they are going to wait until the baby is born to find out the sex.

Kind of surprising but maybe they figure if it’s another girl they won’t be as disappointed because they will  see her and hold her right away, rather than thinking about it for months.🤷🏼‍♀️

Agree with both. I remember Alyssa's gender reveal for Maci where neither she nor John could mask their disappointment quickly enough. The camera absolutely caught it and it was pretty obvious.

While I don't think Josie or Kelton would openly resent another girl the way the Websters did, I think they would be a bit deflated they weren't having a son, especially if they had six+ months to think about it.

Cynics on Reddit think she already knows and this is just Josie's way of keeping her followers invested in the pregnancy and her engagement up. Actually not a bad theory, considering.

  14. Kelton strikes me as the type who has a very clearly defined life plan, and he's gonna stick to it, risks be damned. When it comes to things like his business and financial goals, that's not necessarily bad, but there's something uncomfortably  obsessive in his dynamic with Josie. I've never been a huge fan of Gil, but he was 100% correct in putting the kibosh on an 18 year-old college student pursuing his 14 year-old daughter. The fact that Kelton couldn't understand Gil's side and harbored resentment gave me bad vibes.

I don't recall the issues with the epidural, but didn't Josie pass out from pain during one of her labors? Even if Kelton didn't outright say, "you can't get the epidural," guilt tripping her or gaslighting her into avoiding it is just as bad.

  15. I knew it. Josie's boobs looked ginormous in her most recent reels.

I figured they'd try for a boy in the near future. Hazel will be nearly 3 by the time the new baby is born, so that's pretty normal in terms of spacing.

Unlike with Alyssa's situation, I don't think a pregnancy is disastrous news. Josie is young but appears to enjoy her kids, and she hires sitters when she needs them. I just wish she'd send Willow to school.

Oh and of course Layla likes it. Her mom is likely paying attention to her. Well at least for a couple of hours today.

Lulz! I was about to say, we'll see how long Carlin sticks with this once she's posted the requisite Instagram shots and had the chance to use all the "My baby's growing so fast!" platitudes. Is she going to be firm when Layla is having a fussy day and doesn't want to do her work or will she call it quits and head to the nearest Starbucks?

  17. I liked the episode, despite the list of gripes I'm about to post.

I co-sign everyone's opinion that the War was a big letdown. Unlike Culloden, it didn't feel like there were any stakes. Claire and Jamie know no matter what they do or don't do, the outcome doesn't change, so they weren't invested as much emotionally as they were during S1 and S2. It was also pretty obvious the show didn't have the budget for fancy battle scenes.

I'm also not understanding why Ian had to leave Rollo behind. Dogs traveled on ships all the time. There were several who came over on the Mayflower. I guess it's plot device for Ian seeking out Rachel again, speaking of which, how much do we want to bet she runs into William and they start liking each other? The writers have been setting up an obvious love triangle from the start.

The Rob/Jemmy plot makes zero sense. It's almost comically bad. Granted, we don't yet know the level of Rob's understanding about time travel, history and the rigors of daily life in the 1700s, but it would be far less dangerous to seek the gold in present day.

If Arch Bug is gonna revenge kill anyone, I offer up Rachel as tribute. I can't handle any movies or tv shows where the dog dies.

Katie and Travis dog just had her second litter.  Ten the first time and five this time.  I thought she was a really young dog.

Oh my God, they're going to breed that poor thing to death. She was already too young the first time (I don't give a shit what they claimed their vet said, large breed dogs are recommended to wait until minimum age of 2), and she just had her last litter. What is it with these assholes and their aversion to work?

Sorry for the rant, but exploiting animals makes me stabby.
