Now those students could get job offers rescinded though.

And those are the consequences that (I'm assuming) @GHScorpiosRule was referring to.

I wonder if Sunny could have gotten to explain that right to free speech has consequences.

If Farrah is now the worst (I don't agree) at interrupting, she was taught by the best on the show. That would be you, Sunny. And second would be Joy.

I felt bad for Cynthia Nixon, she was trying to make a point while Joy and Sunny repeatedly interrupted her.

Generally, I don't mind interruptions, but what Sunny was saying in this case was important.

I do mind interruptions, except when AFG is the one being interrupted!  ;)

Of course this runs right into the First Amendment at public universities, but can private schools enforce this on school property?

It's somewhat of a slippery slope, as reasonable people can disagree on what is hate speech.

Slippery slope indeed!  I remember Joy once saying 'the constitution does not protect hate speech'.  I yelled from my couch 'oh, yes it does!'

Damn, Whitney has hurt fillings and we have to hear about it, again.

Whitney is perpetually aggrieved, she's exhausting.

Whitney acted like her and Lisa were lovers or something by saying she wanted Lisa to love and comfort her. Heather was right on in her TH about that.

    Exhausting.

Whitney really thinks she’s something special. She thinks she makes ppl better? Like get a grip lady.

    Delusional.

Whitney is awful. The family of the lady that passed can’t be happy about her using her late friend to act like an asshole.

    She's the worst.

It would have been much more effective if there had been a real build up and we were in on what was going on. Then we could have been invested in it and enjoying it. Instead, it's WTF from the moment it started until the moment it ended a few episodes later.

This is essentially what is so wrong with soaps today in general.  Absolutely no long term story-telling.  The classic episode that just aired in November featured Michael Baldwin stewing in his hovel of an apartment planning his revenge on Christine, and Lauren receiving a naughty puzzle piece.  Were these scenes campy?  Of course, but they also built suspense!  Jordan could've moved to GC with her grand-niece and wreaked havoc in plain sight.  At least we, the audience would've been privy to their motivations.

I have to wonder why her people and the producers didn't get together about avoiding painful topics.

I believe JR's team didn't think Sarah would be stupid enough to ask that question.  Gosh, she's the worst.

Now I read Devil in a Blue Dress by Walter Mosley and after reading half of it I can say that the book is great. The plot is interesting, and there is intrigue, which I love.

The Easy Rawlins novels make an excellent series.  I particularly like the first four.

I REALLY LOVE DeJa (?sp) co-hosting with Mark.  She's charming, smart, quick & a delight to watch!!!

I rarely watch host chat, I generally only watch the interviews if my favorite actors show.  I watched my recording today of Julianne Moore and Patrick Stewart, two of my faves. Deja was so good, I rewound and watched host chat.  Good job, Deja!

  11. I'm an old time viewer, I remember watching it with Brenda Dickson as Jill Abbott, just to give you a time frame.  It used to be so good.  I readily I haven't watched the show at all in ten years because I haven't found it watchable. I watched the episode from '93 last week and was reminded how much bigger the budget was back then.  So many sets, so many actors.  In one episode there was Jack, Nikki, little Nicholas, Victoria, Ryan, Nina, Michael, Victor, Douglas, Eve, Tracee and Lauren.  11 characters, in five different sets, in 4 various storylines.

In contrast, I watched Monday's episode after reading Collen Zenk was appearing, and while I thought those scenes were interesting, I couldn't help be bored by the other scenes.  Y&R has the chance to lure back viewers with this wacky, yet campy storyline and the best scenes they can offer feature Sally, Adam, Nate and Audra?  To call Nate low-energy is to be generous.  The only one of the four who showed any kind of life or animation was Sally. I'll happily watch the Newmans squirm some more, but I don't see me watching Y&R any further.

The only thing that just doesn't make sense about this theory of Maud Beaton being in on the scam to me, if there is a scam, is that she didn't ask Oscar for help. She didn't ask him to come down to the office. She didn't ask Oscar for money.

No, but she told him about it and her concerns about it.

    2 hours ago, AntFTW said:

Oscar is throwing himself into it. Nobody asked Oscar for his money, or even implied that they needed his money.

The man mentioned that they were this close to getting fully invested.  That's what good con men (and women) do.  They lay out a trap and wait for the rat to bite.

But there a lot of viewers who feel exactly like she does on these topics.   Whoopi helps us feel seen 🙂.

I personally don't want her to pretend she understands or is interested in topics geared to a younger pop culture demographic.   Women of a certain age just aren't interested in who's dating who....

I totally agree, I'd rather she stay authentic and show her contempt for these sorry topics.
