It was interesting to see how DIFFERENT Jasmine looked in back-to-back clips on the most recent episode. When riding the party bike she looked "normal," but in- between clips made her look like she had lost a lot of weight...added A LOT of lip filler...and did something to make her eyes BIGGER. Am I imagining this? Still as crazy as ever...but still pretty.

In the latest 40s/earliest 50s, our parish priests lived in a small home in the neighborhood. Sometimes when we walked home from school, we'd walk in the alley behind their house and be SHOCKED, AH SAY...SHOCKED to see beer bottles in their garbage cans. We were 7-8yrs old and didn't have a clue. Most parents drank beer at home; I don't know why we thought priests couldn't.

Exactly, and since I was baptized in 1940, one might think I lived by those rules. NO! Maybe Nicola joined some off-shoot with strict rules and snakes.

Since all co-hosts are union members, I wondered why they didn't support the WGA when they went out on strike. Perhaps another way to employ her talented daughter.

It's BEYOND ANNOYING how Whoopi has taken over the show again...her pontificating and know-it-all comments are okay at home for her family and her guests, but there are smarter--more politically educated people at the table. LET THEM TALK! Let them talk without butting in with your "Here's the thing,"....

SUNNY'S TOP LIP! What's up with that???
-
Here's the thing... I doubt if anyone at the table would bring it up to her. She'll go OFF on that person (and we see how they tiptoe and fawn around her)...and her explanation will cause everyone to agree with her point--even while Sunny is sipping her...her... what IS in that cup?
-
If that's the case, why are the six co-hosts crossing picket lines? If the show can't get guests because of the strike, perhaps the union members involved with "The View" should fully support it.

It's getting MIGHTY TIRESOME to watch her sit there assuming the camera will pan to her--with that extremely bored look on her kisser. The producers should not pander to her. IT'S RUDE, but of course, she's rude. And another thing, whoever does her hair: studio personnel or Dreadlocks to the Stars. SURELY you can do something so she isn't flipping those dreads (one in particular) constantly! It appears that a professional isn't helping. If THAT'S the way she wants it, at least give her some fancy clip or seven to keep them under control while I'm watching. I'm in my 80s and it's too reminiscent of hearing (for years), "Get that hair out of your eyes or I'll cut it out!" (It took decades, I guess, but I've now turned into my mother.)

In Arizona, workers don't pay into the tax system for unemployment insurance (different states; different laws), but employers pay a good percentage toward this helpful/valuable safety net. It's a "benefit" written into states' laws--and for good reason. Consider how even WORSE things would have been for victims of COVID (sick or not) if unemployment insurance weren't available.

It was funny. It IS rude. Although I always enjoy Ana, she IS the EPITOME of ENTITLEMENT! It seems to work for her.

RHONY: New Casts; New Spinoffs

He's very appealing. Has a lot of class and a great sense of humor. I saw a picture with him and several female hosts. He's VERY tall. -

Guess I don't watch often enough; I don't know a Roberto. Could it be Alberti? Swiped from the QVC site: Alberti was born and raised in NYC—but his parents, who are of Albanian descent, migrated to America from the former Yugoslavia. Fun fact: from the age of 13 to 26, Alberti had a career as an Albanian folk and pop singer. He also worked one summer as a doorman--and by the end, he knew the name of every tenant and pet in the building. And with a degree from NYU’s Stern School of Business, he spent six years working in finance. In his spare time, Alberti likes to get outdoors. He’s into gardening, hiking, swimming--if it involves activity and nature, he’s in! -

The MOST "HILARIOUS" (and I think they're wondering WHY they made the choice) is MALLY. She's funny. Not as funny OR entertaining as SHE thinks she is. She's a loose cannon that makes little off-color remarks (wink, wink)...but also gives production a difficult time with her antics. Co-hosts are rolling their eyes--especially when she messes around with timing (which is always). Shawn Killinger seems to have taken over as the FUN hostess...not sticking to the script, telling all kinds of personal stuff. Producers probably hinted to her how she could keep her job when others were falling down in the cornfields. -

"Whatsherface" is the only one I really enjoyed...talk about one-liners. She's an "entitled" being and seems proud of it. I haven't watched for a few years...and probably won't. I'll give RHONY a chance. -

I gave up on ALL "Housewives" shows long ago...well--the three I watched: Orange, Beverly Hills, and NY. I stuck with NY the longest. I'll watch a few episodes because I like the idea of replacing the entire cast: I can't think of any remainders I need to see. I'd like to see Bethenny and Carole Radziwill tho'. I'm especially happy to see Dorinda gone. Her background and personality seemed so right ... but then she became mean--simply mean. So unattractive. Same with the (2) main shopping channels on my service: QVC and HSN. They've dumped most long-time hosts. The ones they kept have to bring new personas: outrageous and CHATTY. A lot of the products are more expensive. Mazel! -
I find it hard to believe that they're truly friends. My opinion: that lifting her mug--sometimes with an eyeroll--is a practiced, polished, and telegraphed reaction. I definitely don't think it's even close to a "personal attack." Still..I'd bet she's told various friends/associates, "If you see me 'sip' after certain remarks, you'll KNOW how I feel." Whether she means it or not, I'm taking it that way because it happens too often.
-
Can't recall, but she ALWAYS had one...and one that required pontificating to the next commercial break And she said it with such innocence and ignorance, it was NOT a "line." I know the name, but had to look him up to place the face (couldn't). I think Sunny DOES take things personally, but because it has been her lifelong problem, she knows (mostly) how to contain her immediate reactions. She takes things personally (sips her "tea") and probably creates a permanent record. If she doesn't do anything out of revenge, she will use these moments in her next novels.
-
Yep..it's deja vu way too often. Can the show invite (on different days) the leaders of the two factions in the WGA strike? I'd like to hear REAL information. I also don't need Whoopi to explain again and agai (deja vu?) why they can't carry on intelligent conversations due to the writers' strike.
-
Ooooo! I might venture there if it was the Mark thread...but I can't consider it with Mrs. Consuelos. One of several Whoopi-isms that annoys me...all her "Deja Vu comedy comments," wondering why she feels like she's been here before. We all know she means that, although the co-hosts have all changed outfits, the audience (and their clothing) are sitting there for a second show. It may have been "interesting" to hear her say it the first time; thereafter...I was just as bored as she acts. How often are two shows taped with the same audience?
-
I'm the opposite...whenever she shows me how bored she is (which happens TOO OFTEN), it's time to give her a giant retirement party. The others are good sports and play along with all the ridiculous topics the producers choose as "current and interesting" because they (the producers) have no respect for their audience.

HUZZAH !!!

I didn't "get it" for most of my teenage years. The only thing I remember is if we went "inside" to eat* I asked to sit next to my date. I was worried about the way I might eat or chew--sitting next to him, he couldn't tell. *We mostly went to car-hop-type drive-ins.

I know it's sarcastic..she's definitely a SOMEBODY. 10 Most Popular Hollywood Actresses in 2023 Jessica Chastain Jennifer Lawrence Elizabeth Olsen Scarlett Johansson Saoirse Ronan Michelle Yeoh Zoe Saldana Emma Stone Sorry...I got caught up in this research: The world's highest-paid actress in 2018 and 2019, she has been featured multiple times on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list. TIME named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2021. Her films have grossed over $14.3 billion worldwide, making Johansson the highest-grossing box office star of all time. That wife is probably tired of attending company events, having to be pleasant to various assistants who "worked late" with her husband-- who fake-smile "knowingly" when they see the wife. She should have thought of a better excuse.
