  1. It's not the tongue-wagging so much as those fingers on keyboards...belonging to anonymous humans who type cruel things they'd never say face-to-face--things they probably don't believe (or at least practice).
  2. It's easy to be opposed to "living together" and sex outside of marriage when one is married and (happily) judging others. "Interesting" how one's "staunch" beliefs gradully change when they're slapped in the face with the single life. Divorced. Alone. No longer invited along with the married couples. Hmmm... Amy's "secular beliefs" have probably changed drastically, and she may have been willing to take the slings and arrows from her community...but now she has to answer to the World Wide Web and Television Nation. It ain't easy. Chris is "sleeping over," but somehow that's different (apparently).
  3. Every lawyer has probably said the same thing...but both idiots know better! They never stop to think, "What am I paying them for???" Perhaps the TLC paychecks have made them less aware of how important money is to their standards of living.
  4. I never watched Dr. Lee's YouTube videos and thought I'd "never" watch a show called "Dr. Pimple Popper," but I'm an avid viewer. This is just my opinion, but it seems that many of the patients we see on television were perhaps "lost causes," (some have even expressed that)...people who have seen many doctors...all kinds of doctors...and were either not treated (some doctors aren't willing to go that extra mile--or do any research at all), given no hope ("There's nothing more we can do."), or given such scary diagnoses and treatment estimates that there was no way they could afford to even start. It's surprising to me that after watching ALL the patients who have been helped by Dr. Lee, some are criticizing her for the virtual visits she is doing in the current COVID season. She is at least giving MANY people hope! She is creating interesting and informative television for lots of us. Perhaps it's true that "No good deed goes unpunished." Also, since Dr. Lee has become so popular, I'll bet there are doctor-viewers who realized THEY TOO can help some of these patients they would have turned away under "normal circumstances."
  5. WHOA! Things are looking tense. Guess I'll bow out.
  6. I agree, but when I started watching the show (and did not continue), their children were young and attending a Christian school. Amy may have been teaching at the preschool. I got the impression they were active in a Christian community ... which is sometimes judgmental about "living in sin." That's why I asked.
  7. They seemed to do a good job. Didn't look like the things they were moving took any special care. They were easy to wrap and haul ... some were HEAVY to take upstairs. Perhaps she knows the owners. Maybe she's economical?
  8. Perhaps it has something to do with the Christian persona she wants to present. She and Chris are obviously "sleeping together." Is a temporary sleepover not "living in sin"?? Will there be upset viewers/friends/relatives if she "allows" Chris to move in without this marriage folderol? Pre-nup Marriage License Bridesmaids/Groomsmen choices Showers Ceremony...in a church Reception Honeymoon
  9. Another reason their "new" house was trashed so easily. No one worked hard earning that house or doing any of the hard work. It was "handed to them" to make better TV.
  10. I don't like her...and simply wondered how many times she gets away with THAT line!
  11. I'm really in the dark on this. Is this Amy's property...solely? House+land? Part of the divorce settlement? WHY is Matt even setting foot on the property and IN her house...uninvited? Perhaps it's better for Amy to sell the property (which includes the house, I guess) to a third party. WHY would Matt be painting, power-washing, etc. another person's property? Yep, I'm in the dark.
  12. I learned (too late) that anyone who sells a home should know the buyer's plans--I know it's not the seller's business. Sometimes sellers paint every room, install new carpet...only to learn the buyer is going to flip the house and trash the "new stuff." In my case, I was in the hospital giving birth when our house sold (we were moving to another city). My husband, according to him, "made a great deal," only we had to pack and move the moment the baby and I came home from the hospital. We had to find someone to rent to us for six weeks! That's not the worst. We learned that our buyer purchased the house for a rental. We could have stayed...and paid! OY!
  13. This often happens to the one child in the family who is disabled or labeled "different." The family goes overboard to make things better--especially if there are several or long hospitalizations. Matt is the best example; he thinks he's an emperor who can do no wrong. Zach is exactly the same. It's sad, but it's a pattern. Understandable. Matt and Amy weren't equipped to do anything better than they did.
  14. She won't be rid of him until all financial ties are cut. ALL. And then, their television show has to end...for the health and welfare of all. ALL. Wonder how long Caryn will stick around when she has no more TV opportunities/income.
  15. She has a hurt that will never go away. There will always be resentment...as long as Matt and Caryn continue a relationship--as long as Matt plays that "I've never been happier in my life," game. I'm sure Amy was heartbroken to learn there was an affair between two people she trusted. Her husband!!! ON TELEVISION! She had to see and work with them every day--probably wondering how long ago "it" all began. She had to hear Matt brag about how happy he was. Arizona. Arizona. Arizona. She reads people's comments about how pretty Matt's "fiance" is ... and rude comments about her own "thunder thighs" and big butt. She has achondroplasic dwarfism. There's not much that can be done with her form. Additionally, TLC is going to give their audience as much drama as they can. Get Amy on a bad day. Get Amy when she's tired. Make sure she's a bit unkempt...forget about helping with her hair. Pile on Amy. Let Amy clear out a house with 30 years of belongings of FIVE PEOPLE! Woe be Amy if she looks angry or moody. I'm here to give her a break ... and I hope there are many others who will at least TRY to understand what's going on with her. Having to give up her share of the farm. The house (clear it up yourself, Amy). Find a new house. Deal with a new romance. New grandchildren. Television show. Everyone's judgment.
  16. Goose? Gander. Did I miss something? Was Amy in his private living space...touching little possessions and passing judgment about teacups? Would TLC really allow him to create any orders that will cut down on the drama?
  17. I can relate to that - when you've been dealing with a Matt type for years on end, you're just perpetually angry. Nobody ever listens to you, your opinions don't count and they treat you like you're stupid. One day all that repressed anger starts bubbling up and before you know it you're a coffee mug hoarding perma-bitch. I rarely watched the shows...just checked in now and then. I felt that Amy had been browbeaten all her life...probably as soon as she started school as "a different kid." Matt could scoot right in and continue the bullying. Maybe Amy finally got fed up after 30+years. Now she's exerting a little authority and people are calling her "mean." Matt has always been cruel and appears to need to be RIGHT 100% of the time. He NEEDS to put on a front so "his public" will realize how HEROIC he is and has always been...under the worst circumstances. Because I rarely watch, didn't they divide their property/homes satisfactorily? What's his is his and what's hers is ... his??? Did Amy go to Matt's property and tell him what to do, how to do it...and give him a deadline? Did Matt make his great "proposal" to Amy and expect her to cave as she has done throughout the marriage? Didn't she see an attorney who told her to slow down? Is it HER property...yet HIS timeline? Who is HE to walk into HER house and put his mitts on all of her possessions...and make judgment? And...who can respect or do business with a guy who was having an affair with his "best friend" and employee right under the noses of Amy, their children, and fans and customers of Roloff Farms? I will ALWAYS believe they were and ARE cheaters! When Matt has no more hold on Amy, Miss Perfect Cyndy's personality might change. Matt will have no one but her to dominate. P.S. I hope his children (especially know-it-all Zach) live to regret the snotty things they said TO and ABOUT their mother. They're not funny. Not insightful. Not helpful. Just rude and disrespecful. This! A THOUSAND TIMES !!!!
  18. WORD!! One example was her silly trip to "learn" something(voodoo, witchcraft, holistic healing, drinking and dancing) or other ... where she left Syngin alone in America for a month! What came of that "investment of time and money, Tania? We saw her do what she does best--be bossy and drunky: Don't do what I do; do what I say When I say it How I want it It's all about ME-ME-ME Don't judge me I'M THE JUDGE!
  19. Is this an example? We heard him say MANY times that he didn't cheat on her. Debbie Buttinski said he didn't cheat on her. Is she a liar or just ig-nernt and blind? At the very end, he agreed that he DID cheat on her. He's a liar! Debbie's dumb. All those "pictures" he sent can be construed as cheating. For me, there's no "favorite" in the Tell-All. It's all hate/gripe-watching for me.
  20. Perhaps I wouldn't find him appealing if I were closer to his age. I'm probably older than his grandmothers. He sure does seem happier anytime he's away from Tania...especially around family and friends.
  21. My children and I were in this situation beginning at ages 9 and 11. They actually decided after a few years that they liked the alcoholic girlfriend more than they liked their unreliable, lying, cheating, alcoholic father. They let me complain about him and her without recrimination. I earned it!
  22. I noticed a lot of scratches on her right forearm and decided she was in a bar fight! Or maybe she and Skyla had it out...at last. She probably had a couple of teeth knocked out and they couldn't be replaced in time.
  23. I think HOPE he will bail and go back to the carefree life. Also, Tania didn't do her foot (foot? ankle?) any favors by walking around so in South Africa. She might need a surgical repair.
  24. This isn't the reason, of course, but you asked about the "current situation and health care issues." Brazil's situation is worse than ours. "Latin America became an epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic in May, driven by Brazil’s ballooning caseload as the number of known infections in Europe fell. Seven months after its first known case, Brazil has had at least 4.7 million cases — more than all of Europe — and over 142,000 deaths." They were and are in America. Maybe I don't understand the question.
  25. I have to disagree. I'm older than Syngin and I love to travel, party and hang out with my friends and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. We all have different ways of living our lives and one way isn't any more "adult" than the other. I would die of boredom living in a suburb with kids for example, but I recognise it makes other people happy and wouldn't criticise them for doing what they wanted and what makes them happy. I agree with TakiTaki. South Africa is not America ... just as Connecticut is not Los Angeles. There are different cultures everywhere--even within cultures. Free Spirit Syngin didn't know much about America, but Tania (pretending to be a free spirit) certainly saw that the South African lifestyle was different for Syngin and his friends. She expected him to fit her mold. Tania will always have difficulty in a relationship unless she finds someone who needs and WANTS to be dominated...to be bossed around. Some flightly little thing (male or female) whose life will be easier if they just lake Tania Take Charge! When she finds a way to be in charge, she'll probably find it's not that much fun and she'll end rebelling against THAT! Syngin is an appealing and charming character. He'll probably be happier back home, getting by with as little responsibility (and income) as possible. I hope they split up and find happier lives. I'll miss Syngin. I won't miss Tania.
