  1. I guess I'm completely out to lunch. Why is Amy "lucky"? I thought the house was Amy's. That's what she got in the divorce. SOLELY. Is that incorrect? If the house IS Amy's, who does Matt think he is (we all know that), not only setting foot on her property, but... Making appointments for contractors et al to look at/in the house... And take pictures without Amy's knowledge...let alone, permission. Isn't she allowed to drag her feet as long as she wants/needs to? If it's YOUR house, how would that work?
  2. But, MightySparroooowwwwwwwwww....then she won't be on television any morrrrrrrrrrre. She's so cute, so talented, so smart...so much better than the rest of us. Actually, Brittany is an idiot...a selfish, snotty, idiot. Yazan's father WILL kill him; does she not get that? It's not an idle threat. This production company is playing with fire. They should be sued if anything happens.
  3. If he thinks his son is committing an unforgivable sin If it's his culture If it's his religion If it's all he knows If it's the majority opinion of everyone he has ever known... He probably cannot help the way he feels...or acts. Who are WE to to judge him? That's the same thing Armando's father is doing.
  4. Extremely weird? It IS his nickname...the one that his family and friends use. I think she tries to use "Bimi" for television, but she's been using "Baby" since she met him. Am I making this up?
  5. ...and because of "outreach" (missionaries) Armando's country includes many other religions that are anti-gay: Pentecostals, Jehovah's Witnesses, LDS (Mormons), and more. This is a difficult barrier.
  6. Sometimes Production meets these relatives and decides they're "not good TV.' Sometimes the relatives don't want to be on television...or (more likely) don't want to/can't sign a contract with many constraints. Might not be Brittany's fault.
  7. Not so sure he's "sanctimonious" ... but I agree with all other parts of your post. He doesn't realize that HE's showing disrespect because he's so concerned about his own feelings. He's just an insecure gay guy who was able to evolve with his country's "culture." He's old enough to remember when things were horrible for him here. He's ignorant* and insecure about so much: his age, Alejandro's age, his homosexuality, anything other than "American" (food, customs, comforts, hygiene, relationships, dwellings, decor, daily business--shopping, etc.) *IGNORANT isn't "dumb." ig·no·rant adjective lacking knowledge or awareness in general; uneducated or unsophisticated.
  8. I thought I was hearing things! This girl is not all there. Guess I'm misunderstanding. "BABY" is his name...a nickname, sure, but it's what his family calls him and what his "audience" calls him. I agree that Ari "is not all there" much of the time--but she's calling him by the name everyone else uses.
  9. Yes...and some of us are seeing his ulterior motives. Two completely spoiled and unprepared people just might deserve each other.
  10. Religion is no excuse for bigotry. Sorry. It's not an "excuse for bigotry." Mexico is a different country with a different culture--not ours. Just as Kenny is openly aghast at the way foods are prepared at the little taco stands...and the specific foods that are served (brains, tripe, etc.), he needs to understand that same shock regarding homosexuality is common in that area of Mexico. Armando has tried to explain that for as long as they've known each other; they cannot hold hands or have public displays of affection unless they want their lives to be in danger. Aspects of Mexican culture shouldn't be considered bigotry by Americans. It's unfair. It will change to something more acceptable to Americans, but there's no requirement. It wasn't that long ago that homosexuals (even "suspected" homosexuals) were beaten, jailed, and murdered by law enforcement (and citizens) in our own country ... and other "civilized nations." It was against the law! Change takes time. Change will move faster because of all the media, social media available to even the poorest of countries. In 2006, the Mexican population was primarily against same-sex marriage. In a survey by Parametría, 61% of those surveyed responded "no" when asked if they supported an amendment to the constitution to legalize gay marriage. Only some 17% responded affirmatively and some 14% did not give an opinion. In the same survey, some 41% were against the possibility of giving the same rights enjoyed by a married couple to a registered same-sex couple, only 28% supporting this possibility.
  11. Jenny and Sumit told her parents she was a platonic friend who'd had a run of bad luck and was stuck in India for a few months with nowhere to stay. In reality, she was sneaking off to Sumit's room every night for forbidden funtimes. Now she has the nerve to wonder why they don't like her. The reason for my original question...and the bolding: Jenny has an equal partner in crime; she's going along with Sumit's lies to his parents. She wasn't having those "forbidden funtimes" by herself. She knows why they don't like her ... and they never mention "forbidden." They mention only her age and what "society" thinks about that.
  12. Although Ari's mother is Catholic, her father is Jewish and I think she identifies as a Jew. Circumcision (bris) is a religious decision and ceremony. She's already off the rails, and learning this was about to happen (maybe) was the last straw.
  13. Background Noise: Bored Mmm-Hmmm, Mmm-Hmmm, Mmm-Hmmm. It's WHOOPIE. What a surprise.
  14. This "moderating" is like junior high. Teacher: Throws out a question... asks each student in turn for an opinion. Students have been primed and are prepared. No give and take. No conversations. It's the best the teacher can do. WE DESERVE BETTER!
  15. Has Ari and/or family contacted Bimi's first American baby mama (wife?). Has Production? I would. Maybe there's A LOT TO LEARN!
  16. I thought I saw "mother."
  17. I agree. Too bad she's on TLC rather than BRAVO. Andy Cohen would have her on his "After Dark" (whatever it is) in a minute! Most of her comments would be lost on someone whose first language is not English. Look in America, Molly...and looks for smart guys.
  18. That seems to be the problem with ALL of the Americans on ALL the 90-Day franchises. They EXPECT the person in another country to KNOW and speak perfect English. Then, when they don't, they're encouraged to study, to learn...to simply try-try-try! The idiots whose fiance`s are moving to America are doubly cursed...but those moving to another country don't have a care in the world. Why should they learn the language of their new country? They're Americans!
  19. I didn't watch when Jenny stayed/befriended them...but was SHE playing them...or playing along with Sumit's lies--to his parents and to her? Gobble-neck chin. OUCH!😕 I'm eighty, and my neck, chin, face and everything below have suffered the ravages of time. I'm still here; happy and healthy. Jenny looks good and is trying to make the best of a bad situation.
  20. Matt is a narcissitic jerk. Amy is easy pickin's. Easier to pick her apart here...and pile on...rather than point out the flaws of the man who has put her down for thirty years. C'mon, women!
  21. EXACTLY! She has a thriving practice with her dermatologist husband. She has two teenage boys. She lives close to her parents and has a life. She has an extremely popular YouTube channel. She has a television show. She's obviously heavily involved in the research of the various maladies and in the vetting of the patients for every aspect of her practice. Are there enough hours in her days?
  22. It's not the tongue-wagging so much as those fingers on keyboards...belonging to anonymous humans who type cruel things they'd never say face-to-face--things they probably don't believe (or at least practice).
  23. It's easy to be opposed to "living together" and sex outside of marriage when one is married and (happily) judging others. "Interesting" how one's "staunch" beliefs gradully change when they're slapped in the face with the single life. Divorced. Alone. No longer invited along with the married couples. Hmmm... Amy's "secular beliefs" have probably changed drastically, and she may have been willing to take the slings and arrows from her community...but now she has to answer to the World Wide Web and Television Nation. It ain't easy. Chris is "sleeping over," but somehow that's different (apparently).
  24. Every lawyer has probably said the same thing...but both idiots know better! They never stop to think, "What am I paying them for???" Perhaps the TLC paychecks have made them less aware of how important money is to their standards of living.
