  1. In the recent Q&A Alyssa said they have a hired editor for their videos. In her recent Q&A Erin also said that another person edits their videos. Didn't specify if they paid the person.
  2. Now I remember. I thought it was ridiculous to suggest feeding a family of 6 that way. I'm sure her channel is monetized also.
  3. I must have not paid attention; don't recall it. Was it for the insurance?
  4. The ads that pop up in the middle of YouTube ads are put there by YouTube. YT choses the ads and where to put them. A channel can get monetized after a certain number of views and hours watched in a 12 month period. If those things fall off they can get demonetized.
  5. Were you there in the winter though? They were really feeling the cold when they first got there. I'm wondering what they are feeding the baby. A cat will rebel if you change its food suddenly. Either not eat at all or "return" the food. I picture a one-year old being the same way but maybe his stomach is as easy going as the rest of him appears to be.
  6. If they are not getting out until 10AM they are starting their day pretty late. Sunset for tomorrow March 1 in Rome will be 6PM. Do the tourist sites open late?
  7. Eggs are in the ovaries from birth; new sperm is created daily*, therefore not as old. Up until recent years there probably weren't as many old dads to study... what with second marriages and Peter Pans putting off marriage as long as they could. *And at what a rate!: During spermatogenesis, your testicles make several million sperm per day — about 1,500 per second. By the end of a full sperm production cycle, you can regenerate up to 8 billion sperm. This may seem like overkill, but you release anywhere from 20 to 300 million sperm cells in a single milliliter of semen.
  8. For those who didn't watch the video, quick summary. The fetus had died in utero. There was no fetal heartbeat. The doctor recommended a D&C because of her history of hemorrhaging with two prior births. She did not terminate a viable pregnancy.
  9. Publicizing the church could help it grow. I'm sure she wants it to grow.
  10. Now we know who's behind the constant road trips!
  11. This is what I got: a) They let her watch shows so she would want to stay in the house and be near the toilet. Accident at home less trouble than accident elsewhere. Like the car! b) She doesn't get lipsticks anymore because she has mastered toilet training now and won't be getting anymore rewards. What a reward for a 3-year old. Sheesh.
  12. Maybe Notabug can tell us what the custom is.
  13. But they do put the maiden name on the birth certificate. There was some talk about this a few pages back.
  14. I think she would like something like volunteering with Habitat for Humanity if they operate in her area. She seems to be pretty handy and enjoys that kind of thing. Maybe through her husband's church she could get a group together to volunteer. Not the usual pastor's wife thing, but why not?
  15. Well, not every woman giving birth is married so it is the safest way.
  16. Doesn't Kelly have a chemistry degree? Surely she must have had a basic biology class.
  17. I always wonder who she looks like. Neither parent much that I can see. It must be one of the grandparents. I guess even a great grandparent is possible.
  18. In the Chad/Erin Q&A they just did she got the sisters question. She said she and Tori have been best friends since childhood and she is very close with Michaela. Which is what has been said here -- the more conservative sisters.
  19. Post-renovation depression. You've picked materials and appliances, rehabbed, painted, acquired furniture, moved -- now the excitement is over and it's back to the same old daily life.
  20. Condoms prevent fertilization. Preventing implantation means preventing a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterine wall which I always thought was how IUDs work, but recently I read somewhere that that is not the case.
  21. At 13:40 she said she started having spotting a few days before Christmas.
  22. The video was a compilation of fall and winter. Seems they told the other children very early. It ended with her experiencing spotting. It was after Thanksgiving at that point, but before Christmas, I think.
  23. The gave their old house to her brother Jer and his wife Hannah, who had it moved to a piece of land they owned. Huge new police/fire department building across from their old property, which is being sold for commercial use. [A while back it was said that an ambulance company was buying it.]
  24. In the first video the room they showed was very bare bones. When they exited the building the lobby remined me of the lobbies of old office buildings on the side streets in Manhattan. There were rows of metal boxes in the wall that I thought were mailboxes. i think they may have been staying in a building owned by some Christian organization that has cheap accommodations for Christian travelers. The Jed, Katie, baby group got a room. The others could have been in bunk beds or dorms.
