I see on Reddit that The Abbey in LA is under new management. The Toms branching out again? From the comments, it sounds like a true dive.

Been saying that for years. I was too tired to stay up to watch this last night, but from the comments it’s the first thing I’m going to do when I get home. 😁

Lu was asked during Bravocon if they still keep in touch with some of the people. She said that she still is in touch with the couple who owns the motel, and that they’re booked up through early next year, LOL. That’s neat…that little town can use the 💵. Bravo should do this again…it was a refreshing change from the usual crap.

This episode. Sandy needs to read the riot act to either or both Natalya and Tumi, who are both hot, and Sandy’s first words to Natalya are, “Thank you for what you did for the boat.” 🤣 The Positive Reinforcement School of Management, I guess. Sandy, you tell both upfront to knock it off and grow up, or get the fuck off the boat. Case closed. Edit: I know that is what she said, eventually, but she was acting really afraid of both. Sandy, you’re the boss, not their friend.

Bravo and Andy would probably much rather air the “uncomfortable” scenes because they’re more “dramatic.” (That also can provide an unfair impression of reality, not that they particularly care about that — in the editing room a lot of things can be made to be taken out of context.) I found nothing really surprising about what Jax told her, TBH, but I understand why Garcelle is upset at hearing it. I’d rather hear it now, though, than wait for it to blow up when he is an adult.

Ha. I had the exact same thought and I was SO glad they showed that in her tribute montage.

I happened to catch the WWHL Bravocon episode this weekend with the “divas”. I thought she looked MUCH healthier. Quitting the booze and losing an additional 200+ pounds (or whatever John Janssen weighs) can work wonders. Yes, Shannon can be a PITA. But I’m really hoping she finally gets it together.

Rewatching this now. Her body language was saying it all. She wasn’t pretending to be offended. She was angry, and wanted to let everyone know it. If she didn’t want to make a scene she could have quietly shown herself out. I think the conversation they had with her prior to Magic Mike about her lack of second dates hurt her, despite her trying to laugh it off. Part of her was probably upset that even male strippers passed her over for her “hotter” friends (I’d see that as a compliment, but that’s just me). That said, I wouldn’t have gone chasing after her, because that is the exact reaction she wanted.

Once again, Bravo using cheap sexualization to advance a plotline. This is right up there with the Below Deck men strutting around in Speedos or having sushi eaten off of them (among other more outrageous behavior). Willing or not, it’s gross. Exploitative.

Yeah, I for one should have known better than to fall for the promos/previews. Sutton’s “meltdown” and Garcelle’s true confession felt so fake. I’m still wondering why the gals just didn’t let Sutton go if she was that offended. Let one person spoil everyone else’s good time? Then she talks nasty later on? If this were a scripted series there would have been massive rewrites followed by a lot of unemployed writers.

But if it were Erika inviting me to go… I still cannot believe what I saw last night. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen something that graphic on basic cable, and I mean that seriously. Pretty sad statement, TBH. It felt a little contrived to me, just like the way she stomped off — that seemed out of character.

All these posts and nobody has said anything about Avi! LOL’d at the man’s befuddlement and walk/run down the hall after dealing with Sutton’s nonsense. She needs a property manager for her closet? I don’t recall seeing him before last night. More Avi, please.

This ABT remark is going to follow Sutton forever.

I find it funny that they have these big blowups, then in the next scene they’re all lovey-dovey again, then the draahma hits again. They went from the Magic Mike free-for-all to playing Truth or Dare like they were at a junior high slumber party, and then they got all serious again with the pile on with Garcelle. You can get whiplash. As for Erika’s calm reaction…she couldn’t give two shits about Sutton. Nothing amazing about that. Uh, yeah. Where’s the lightning bolt when we need it? Speaking of Garcelle…I cosign that she has every right to be distrustful, especially after what happened with Jax. (I wonder how much of his issues with Garcelle come from that?) Dorit is the most important person ever. Just ask her. But wait until the ladies begin grilling her about any updates on the robbery.

Let’s be honest here…would anybody really trust these women to really confide in them? Garcelle owes them nothing…especially Dorit. I’d forgotten about PK’s snide remark. Sutton was just trying too hard to be one of the “edgy” gang, but really, she’s too socially awkward to pull it off. Her behavior was just bizarre from start to finish tonight.

This was all about Erika. Back on stage, spreading ‘em again. Crystal’s birthday was just an excuse. EDIT — How would you like to be the server at that table, or a diner sitting next to it? Woah…what shade on Dorit by Crystal!

Vicki Gunvalson clutched her pearls better. She would have gone up on that stage like a shot if given the opportunity. It’s not like she didn’t know what she was going to see — Erika arranged it, FFS. Something’s been off with her since the start of this episode. She expected one of those hunks to pull her up on stage. Or yell “Jovani! Thank you, Jovani!” 😂

LOL.

Sutton’s offended because she’s jealous. Of what, I don’t know…I’m no prude, but I found that display gross.

I don’t dispute the toxicity, but I was thinking mainly of the tension between Kate and Leon, as well as among the deck crews. I think he was getting ready to can Leon when he quit. That’s what this mess between Tumi and Natalya reminded me of. The only time when he really wasn’t involved and should have been was with that reprehensible “bru crew” season, but all that drama mainly happened after hours. Sandy seems to choose to ignore conflict as long as possible.

Really looking forward to this episode.

I only really started watching this season from the marathon Tuesday, and I caught on really quick that Kyle is the equivalent of an office gossip who only wants to start fights and then sit back and watch. ONCE AGAIN, Cap’n Sandy shows her shit management skills. No boss would let stuff like this fester for as long as it apparently has. Her finger-wagging at Natalya and Tumi won’t solve this. They both know that “I’m going to put you both off the boat” is an empty threat. She also needs to be keeping an eye on Kyle. Whole damn boat is toxic — as is most, if not all, of Sandy’s charter seasons. You can bet that Lee Rosbach would be well aware of this bullshit and have his plane tickets at the ready.

Sandy falling on her ass was perfect karma for all her seasons of phoniness. Never saw a bigger bunch of totally unlikeable people in one place. Bravo has to be doing this by design, just to see how much we can take. BDM is just so unwatchable anymore. Someone should tell Kyle that white socks and black shoes do not look professional, but maybe that doesn’t matter, since it looks like he’s there only to just stir the shit.

What is WRONG with him?

Can someone remind me again as to why Rachel was clutching her pearls over Oliver still being with his wife, while she had no problem with making out with Schwartz or being Sandoval’s side piece? This is funny, tone-deaf, and hypocritical, considering what went down later. (So glad this season is marathoning today — I need a reason to detach from the world.)
