  1. I rather like Maddie's single, though I wish it sounded a little less produced. It reminds me a bit of Phillip Phillips' song "Home" - so maybe that's a good thing? I think I would've liked Gabby's song better if someone else sang it. It's a weird mashup of country/gospel with some pop-ish Ariane Grande undertones. Gabby doesn't have a strong musical identity to me anyways so I couldn't say if it's a good fit or not. Caleb's song is just meh to me, sounds like a lot of other generic country songs(and I do actually like country!)
  2. I think the most unbelievable part is Tanz stating that they can repopulate the human race with just 160 people. Where the hell did the show get THAT number? I called bullshit as soon as they said it and looked it up -- you need at least 4000+ humans to even remotely make it viable. EDIT: Okay, I found the article for where they got the 160 number: https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn1936-magic-number-for-space-pioneers-calculated/ Mind you, it was a estimate made in 2002. And that was the minimum number specifically for space exploration to sustain for maybe 10 generations/200 years -- aka they would still expect to eventually come back to a planet Earth one day. Not to live in space forever. Otherwise they would eventially run into that same ol' inbreeding dilemma.
  3. Ehhhhhhh, not particularly enthused over Blake/Laurens duet song. I just listened to it and it SO does not feel like a finale duet. I recently heard Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's new song "Speak to a Girl" and I thought instantly that would have been a perfect song for them. Something current, yet right in Lauren's range and style.
  4. I'll probably end up streaming this when it comes out because I tend to enjoy most sci-fi movies even the crappy ones. But I couldn't help but think, "Wait, this plot sounds really familiar.." Then I realized I read a YA novel a few years back with a very similar premise called Across The Universe. Including the plot twist
  5. I've never heard of Allen Stone or "Unaware" before but now after 6 episodes, I know every damn word. Seems like the go-to soulful song
