    5 p.m. episodes-

    First-

Operation Rescue Baby Tortoise! (2021) -Plaintiffs Zamora Nace and boyfriend Christian Garcia suing defendant, Joshua Barraza for a tortoise that plaintiffs bought from defendant, and tortoise later was diagnosed with pneumonia.  Baby Tortoise was bought from defendant for $106 in 13 November.    They only have a receipt.   Then plaintiffs noticed tortoise was not right, so they took it to the vet, on 16 November.   Vet diagnosed possible pneumonia, and upper respiratory infection, and after treatments tortoise died.   PLaintiffs want a replacement tortoise, and almost $1,000 for vet bills.

Defendant is asked if the other tortoises were sick, but he says they were fine.  Tortoise didn't have health guarantees or warranties.  Roxane Barraza (defendant's wife and part time bookkeeper) says there were no tortoise sales on the date in question, but a slightly different price a week earlier.    JJ suggests that employees of the pet store are fudging he books, and pocketing funds.   I suspect JJ is right.  However the tortoise sale was misidentified on the sales records.  There are no refunds on tortoises at any time since November.

Plaintiff case dismissed.  (JJ says pet store owners might give them a replacement tortoise, but it's only a suggestion).

Child Support Fight (2013)- Plaintiff Sirenade Navaez is suing defendant Jose Martinez (ex-boyfriend) for a motorcycle loan, and child support arrest bail, on two occasions.   Plaintiff claims she bought motorcycle, and defendant has it at his house, and has the title.  Defendant says he's never had a motorcycle, and doesn't have one, or the title.    Plaintiff says previous owner's name is still on the title.

Defendant was bailed out by plaintiff for $500, for a child support bill of almost $10k.    Then defendant was bailed again for $1,000 for the second child support arrest.  Baby's mother, defendant's  ex-girlfriend, also changed the baby's name, because defendant was 'trouble' twice, and she didn't want the baby to have his name.    Defendant gave up his parental rights, after the second arrest and future child support is no longer his problem).     Defendant still owes the $10,000 arrears on the child support to the ex, but does not have to pay child support after the date he signed to give up his parental rights.    (The $1500 bail money went to the ex for the child support, so he only owes $8500).

JJ tells plaintiff to go find the motorcycle, and sell it.  Defendant still swears that he doesn't have a motorcycle, and doesn't know where it is.

Plaintiff receives $1500 bail money back.

    Operation Rescue Baby Tortoise!

    RBG Judge Judy presiding:

Judge Judy went to eight years of post-grad school to listen to cases concerning sick tortoises. Imagine that ?

For some reason, when the plaintiff told Judy they went to the vet, "and the vet said..." JJ listened to her. She didn't shut her down and yell, "DON'T TELL ME WHAT THE VET SAID. THAT'S HEAR-SAY. IF YOU WANTED TO, YOU COULD'VE BROUGHT THE VET HERE AS YOUR WITNESS AND I COULD HAVE QUESTIONED HER LIKE I'M DOING YOU RIGHT NOW."  Instead, Judy let her speak and took it all in as evidence. Why is that ? I lost complete interest right then and there.

    Child Support Fight (2013)

    Estelle Getty Judge Judy presiding...

Nothing more fun than seeing two meth-heads battling the sh!t out in Judge Judy's courtroom. The best part was outside the courtroom for the interview - sounds like Sirenade faked a pregnancy test to hold onto Jose, but Jose wasn't having it. Fool him once...

    BONUS POST:

Shout out to Mathew Rezvani, from earlier this week. Talk about a handsome, sexy guy. Every time he stuck his tongue out on camera to wet his lips he got an even bigger gay following...I assure you.  😛

I'm hoping for the return of Kelli Filkins.  I really wish they'd reach back to some of the really good early early cases, before the airwaves became saturated with small claims shows and you had to have actually filed a lawsuit.

Filkins passed away shortly after the episode aired. Out of respect for her survivors, I don't think they will ever repeat this one.

Thank you for sharing this information with us, I had no idea.  That is so shady!

To be fair to the ladies they are probably unaware of this fact..

I doubt they are unaware - especially Sunny. She has said in the past (all too often) that she 'does her homework' on the guest before their interviews, simply by Googling them. MeAgain has also said the same thing. They do their research, as they did on Van Jones.

Not to mention Ana and Sunny are such big proponents of 'small business survival' during the pandemic  - they must be speaking to restaurant owners in their neighborhoods and hear what's happening each day (especially in NYC and Miami).

This is exactly what I don't like about the show at times - they can be very hypocritical, but want to be taken so seriously.

  4. WOW!

Arsenio Hall and Eddie Murphy appearing on different days to promote 'Coming 2 America'.  I watched the movie last night and all I can say is - it deserves all the 1 star reviews it's getting (yes, it was indeed THAT bad).  I bet the women are going to lie through their teeth and say it was the best film of 2021 - especially Sunny and Sara. I stuck with the whole movie hoping it would get better (it didn't), but others on social media stuck with it for about 30 minutes before changing the channel. I should've, too.

It will be interesting to see how Murphy spins all this on Wednesday.

  5. Ana, MeAgain, Sunny and the other hosts gave Guy Fieri a lot of praise and adulation for his pop-up platforms "FlavorTown Kitchen" happening all over the country right now. It's too bad they avoided the elephant in the room (I'm looking at  you Sunny and Ana).

No to go too off topic (you can Google more info yourself) Why didn't they address the fact that many well-known names in the restaurant industry have accused him of taking advantage of the pandemic, and claim all he is doing is a quick 'money grab' in each city - hurting existing restaurants trying to stay open by doing their own take-out and delivery system?  The small business owners completely oppose what he's doing in their towns. When questioned if he will keep these pop-ups open after the pandemic, he has no response.

It disturbs me greatly that these women are supposed to be pro-small business, but had nothing to say about his actions - especially Sunny.     When Van Jones was a guest promoting his project with MeAgain, Sunny and Ana wasted no time in bringing up criticism and accusations leveled against him and his sincerity to the project and actions in the past.  Why not hold Guy Fieri to the same standards?

  6. I don't care who's on this week, so long as Gretta Monaghan returns with 'View Your Deal' - hottest items at affordable prices! I've completely run out of flexible, recycled, over-priced drinking straws as well as eye glass readers and toiletries!

  7. Going back to earlier this week, I must give credit to Whoopie for correcting a false statement that Audra Day was the first Black actress to win a Golden Globe.  It was actually Diana Ross in 1973, for also playing Billie Holliday.

Now if only we can get Whoopie to correct the mistake when the cohosts praise Goldberg every year, saying she was the first Black woman to host the Oscars. She always acknowledges that she was, and takes the praise.

Correct answer is once again - Diana Ross. She was one of the hosts (they had multiple hosts in the 70s) of the Oscars in 1974. She was the second black person to host (Sammy Davis Jr. was the first, back in 1972), and the first Black woman. Not Whoopi..

Funny - after these two major accomplishments, Ross is never included in Black History month.

    5 p.m. episodes-

    First (2021)-

Designer Sneaker Scam?! -Plaintiffs Leonardo and Alonzo Franco suing defendant Ryan Padilla over designer sneakers plaintiffs bought from defendant, that plaintiffs think are fake.   Plaintiffs sell through some third party auction, after they've been authenticated as genuine for 8%.    The third party does the authentication, and the auction for plaintiffs.       Plaintiffs saw the Offer Up ad from defendant, and plaintiffs went to look at the sneakers at defendant's house.   Plaintiffs paid $550, and were sent a receipt by defendant for the original purchase of the sneakers.

Plaintiffs didn't take the blue light (flashlight size) to authenticate the sneakers.   Plaintiffs buy and resale sneakers, and keep some they want to keep.   Plaintiffs used the blue light at home, and it failed, and then plaintiffs took it to authenticators, and it failed again.    Defendant never gave plaintiffs the buy receipt.    Defendant bought the sneakers off of Offer Up a few days before advertising them, bought for $400, sold for $500.  The problem is that plaintiffs bought from a private party, didn't try to authenticate them with the blue light, and waited too long to dispute purchase with defendant.  Sneakers were purchased by defendant from a private party, and did use a blue light on the shoes, and paid the seller $400.

Defendant put sneakers on Offer Up for $600, settled for $500 to sell to plaintiffs.   Plaintiffs had every chance to take their blue light with them before the purchase, and could have taken them to be authenticated the same day also.  Defendant claims he had one of the authentication flashlights, and offered to let plaintiffs use it.

    Plaintiff case dismissed.

First, a shout out to Ryan Padilla, one of the sexiest 'bad boys' to grace Judge Judy's court this season. The past few seasons, Judge Judy has hit a dry spell - a desert, is more like it. This season she's had a few hotties (not as many as earlier seasons) and Padilla was enjoyable to watch. So thank you for being sued!

Second, most of the case was explaining to Judy what the transaction was all about. For the past 20 years she has been dealing with 'eBay' lawsuits. This site isn't that much different - the major difference is that it focuses in on a specific clientele (those addicted to sneakers). Why Judy wasted twenty minutes by telling the plaintiff 'Explain it to me' every few minutes was beyond comprehension.  And the plaintiff could only answer, 'Well basically...'.

Third, how does one become a an official, trusted 'sneaker authenticator' ? Does one go to Nike school for that? Does one get a degree or certificate for that ?  From the appearance of the two 'official authenticators' the plaintiff brought along, it looks like they sit home and do nothing but 'study sneakers'. And eat (at least one of them ate).

  9. Two things...

    1.  I wish someone would counter Meganutz with: "And we're SO OVER your father. Stop mentioning him."

    2.  When Meganutz goes on and on about what one needs an ID for 'to adopt a pet, to buy cold medicine*...' can one of the other hosts remind her that none of what she is rattling off is an American's constitutional right, as voting is ? Maybe she should know this by now ?

*I've never been asked for an ID to buy cold medicine. Don't know where she shops.

I think she is scared of her.  Plus, Whoopie got her the job and used to always baby her until she got tired of Megan's nastiness.

I didn't know Whoopie got her the job. I remember she was one of the finalists for the job a few seasons prior before she joined, but the she withdrew her name when she found out that Sarah Palin was the other finalist (Palin was then offered the job, but she didn't want to do a full five day schedule. Jedediah got the job).

Oh that's pretty obvious.  I did laugh when Meghan was all pissed and being rude to Sara ( I'm not even sure what Sara said that pissed off the princess) and Sara kept laughing and talking 😄she either didnt notice Meghan's stank attitude got worse or didn't care . Either way pretty funny.

The only one Meganutz is pretty nice to each day (consistently) is Whoopi. Not sure why, but she never has anything negative to say to her.

I meant those of us watching at home, but of course we can count the rest of the panel. 😉😂

How about the behind the scenes crew ? Can we count them in, too ? What about Meganutz's make-up artist and hairstylist ? Can we count them, too ? The all groaned 'awwwwwwwwww', because they all suffer, too. Just as much as viewers suffer, if not more. 😄

  13. I'm late to the party - I've been binge watching Season 3 this past weekend, and caught up to this episode so far (will finish the season in the next day or so).  Not sure why I waited almost two years to watch Season 3 (I binge watched 1 and 2 right after they aired), but here I am...

Overall, I've enjoyed Season 3 - I think it's one of the best of the three. However, I didn't like this episode - I felt like it was 'filler', as it really didn't move the story-lines all that much. The show's strength is the dynamics between the different characters, and when you remove the characters for the most part and just focus on June (and her inner thoughts) for most of the episode, it tends to draaaaaaaaaag. Her breakdown was coming on for a while, and needed to be addressed. But without the others around her, it really didn't have the wallop it could have.

  14. Digesting today's show...

    1. Like it was previously mentioned, no doubt Meganutz skipped today's show just to avoid the CPAC conversation, and have to answer questions being the only conservative female mid-30s, new mother host on mainstream media.  It's tough being her.

    2. The Elijah segment was heartbreaking for many reasons - for me, it's to wonder the young man he'd be today at 25. However, it was very hard for me to watch the interview because I was distracted by his mother's five o'clock shadow and mustache. C'mon - am I the only one who caught that ?

    3. I guess we're ditching the toiletries and eye glass readers and now pushing overpriced reusable straws with Gretta! Seriously - for the past year she has brought out a company's overpriced 'reusable straws' every other month, which makes Sara all giddy like a five year old. If these damn overpriced straws ($13 is HALF price ????)  are reusable - why do we have to keep buying different ones ?

    4. As for the Golden Globes discussion, they should have skipped it - no one really seemed to care about them, and really didn't know what to say.  Let's face it - how can you have a discussion when half the panel didn't bother to watch (maybe more than half - not sure if Whoopi did, as she was kind of dancing around the answer).

  15. I don't know anyone this week, except for Gretta Monahan with 'View Your Deal' ! I sincerely hope she brings facial creams, toiletries and cosmetics with her, along with eye glass 'readers' all at affordable prices, because we haven't had any of those since last week. Maybe some day 'VYD' will be relevant, and she will be promoting the Moderna vaccine, or the Pfizer vaccine in 'View Your Deal' ?  That's what viewers REALLY need these days (not the other crap she's peddling).

    I can't wait for Monday...

Good thing today was pretaped because Joy may not be feeling very well today after the 2nd shot.  Can’t wait for Meg to bring up her problems again, like not being able to go out drinking.

I didn't realize today was pre-taped. Explains why they didn't talk about all that's been going on in the past 24 hours, and filled hot topics with 'mannequins', which - in the long run - explains why today's show was such a snoozefest.

  17. Sara felt the need to clarify that when she said 'We lost Sunny', she meant 'by technical difficulties' .

I guess she thought millions of viewers understood 'we lost Sunny'  as 'she dropped dead during the commercial break' , so she felt the need to explain ?

    Baffling.
