  1. I was glad that MM got to put his ghosts to bed, but I have one question. He called Soldier Boy a racist piece of shit. He absolutely had his share of bad traits, but I am not recalling him showing racist tendencies. There was so much tell-don't-show when it came to Soldier Boy that I may have missed something.
  2. This is 100% valid. They absolutely chose the wrong 'villain' to stop, and I dearly hope that A) somebody acknowledges that next season when Homelander is murdering people on Main Street, and B) that they all pay the price for their choices. Amen. Yes, taking out Homelander and Vought would have had huge collateral damage, but when nuclear is the only option and it will ultimately save a lot more people, choices have to be made. They chose wrong, IMO.
  3. I really thought when he walked into the room after Maeve and Soldier Boy went out the window that he was going to try to laser one of them and fail. I was disappointed. I call absolute bullshit on Frenchie being able to find all the right ingredients in an unfamiliar lab and then whip up the world's deadliest neurotoxin in a jiffy and while under fire. And Maeve just tossed the other bottle right out the window. Lucky person who picks that up. WTF? Didn't feel a thing but satisfaction at Noir's death or A Train's brother telling him to GTFO.
  4. Two out of three ain't bad. 😁
  5. Agree on all counts. And I'm glad Soldier Boy also called out Butcher's hypocrisy about 'family'. I know it was futile with the way it played out, but I fucking loved the final fight and Jensen's delivery of "I am not going back in that fucking box". Outstanding. Kripke should've let him disappear, but I'm not surprised at all by the ending. Even the crowd cheering on Homelander at the end. Kripke's on-the-nose version of "I could shoot someone on Main Street and they'd still love me." I'm happy for Maeve and kind of surprised Ashley deleted the video.
  6. From TVLine Inside Scoop: My guesses: Flashdance song? Maniac Slugfest: Soldier Boy and Maeve Chilling Image: Something to do with Ryan
  7. But there isn't a Supe who doesn't qualify for this descriptor. We saw the damage done to Noir's face during the battle in Nicaragua, but there was no indication then that he suffered brain damage. He's seem pretty lucid throughout the series until this last episode. Certainly during the animated episodes which we're meant to take as canon.
  8. I was thinking about this. Homelander is even more impervious than Soldier Boy, and he got his face bruised in the punch-out with SB and Butcher, so maybe, while the Russians couldn't pierce his skin, another supe can? And who know what that sword is made of - maybe it's something Stan gave Noir for 'someday', Soldier Boy returned, or even for Homelander if came to that.
  9. But Noir's scenes were not set up as PR - we are looking at his version of his own memories. It seemed to me that we were supposed to believe him.
  10. For me, the fundamental difference between Soldier Boy and Homelander is that SB at least knew what it was to be human once. I think that will be his downfall, a moment of humanity that makes him hesitate. I am not on board with framing Noir as some kind of tragic figure. Even if he's a reliable narrator (which I doubt), they all got their revenge on mean old Soldier Boy. Everything after that was their own choice and they continued to be douchebags and degenerates - and Noir in particular murdered his share of people over the last 40 years as Stan's weapon. Making him out to be some kind of tragic Disney princess doesn't work for me. Of all the supes, the only one I believe actually regrets their choices is Maeve, and they are probably going to kill her for it. I hope she takes a few of them out with her, if so.
  11. Sometimes it's better if showrunners/writers keep their intentions to themselves and let us interpret what ends up on the screen. There is a lot of insight in these posts about Krip's comments. Thank you!
  12. I agree - I was responding to the idea that he only had the passive power of teleportation due his passive nature.
  13. Didn't A-Train seemed shocked by the punch though? Like... how'd you do that, puny human? And he was also assisting Butcher and Soldier Boy in holding down Homelander, so it seems there must be some element of strength involved.
  14. Didn't he punch through the chest/gut of one of the Russian guards, or am I misremembering that?
  15. 100% agree. It really is some probably-unintended insight into how Kripke views women.
  16. There's a lot to unpack in this answer.
  17. AFAIK, the Impala at the cons is privately owned - nothing to do with the show.. I guess they could get one of the other stunt cars from the show, but with Jensen and Jared having the main two, it would be about the same as having any other 67 Impala to me. Like, who cares, lol. Never understood the interest in that car at the cons myself. Maybe one of the Js is loaning them theirs.
  18. What's your guess? Obviously not the Impala. Maybe Dean's gun? Or John's journal? The amulet?
  19. It was pretty satisfying to see MM punch Todd in the face. I mean, the whole 'somebody's gotta be' line is a trope as old as time, but if it gets a smarmy tool like Todd put on his ass, then I'll allow it.
  20. He was likely not the only one there though. The Legend also mentioned 'rumors' of Dealy Plaza. But I was talking about him taking out the 'priest' and then the 'nun'.
  21. Jensen mentioned that he and Butcher have a 'talking' scene together and we still haven't seen that, so there is a tiny glimmer of hope still.
  22. It's interesting how thoroughly convinced Soldier Boy is that he is a hero and 'not a bad guy'. I mean, he had me fooled! I don't know that there's enough time left to show his side of the story, but since we've seen a version of it from Grace, The Legend and Noir, it seems pretty conclusive that he is indeed a bad guy. It still doesn't mitigate 40 years of torture, but he doesn't get any parades either. But yeah, he seems like a pretty badass fighter and marksman - where did those skills come from? His acting coach? They are really doubling down on V enhancing and twisting what is already inside. Seems like they never knew what they were going to get when they injected the subjects, but know we know that it wasn't random. Butcher and Hughie get the same powers back each time from the Temp V, and now Kimiko has hers restored.
  23. I meant not permanent in the sense that the powers can be recovered. I found Homelander's statement confusing because we did see any depowered supes, only dead or injured.
  24. This seems logical, especially after watching his little brother kill himself after he abandoned him. He's used it three times now though - so maybe Butcher figures they're both screwed anyway, might as well go out with a bang.
  25. Well now that we know the effect is not permanent, and there doesn't seem to be any problem with taking the V as an adult (though I thought that was established earlier that it would probably kill you), it really diminishes that power. If he really was going to take out Homelander, then depowering him long enough to kill him would be good - but given the end of 307, it doesn't seem like that's happening. I guess HL's 'fear' is as good as we're going to get.
