  1. Frenchie seems to have figured out why the Halothane didn't work on him, so I'm guessing it will be back to the cryochamber for him.
  2. I'm not so sure - he said he just wanted to go home when he teleported Mindfucker (sorry I can't recall his real name) out of the cabin. But then it really didn't take much convincing from Butcher to go get some more at the end.
  3. That he is. Scenery chewing at its finest. I also forgot about A-Train. Was Ashleigh serious that they gave him Bluehawk's heart? OMG.
  4. Ohh, I can't believe I forgot about that opening scene. Seems like Soldier Boy really does like his women well-seasoned. LMAO!! Delicious, but a little dry. OMFG. And the full video of his 'Robert Mitchum tribute' is priceless.
  5. Welp, Jensen did not lie. Soldier Boy is definitely not a good guy. But he is selling the shit out of it. I'm a little disappointed that we got the full story via exposition - and animated exposition at that. I still don't think he deserved to be tortured and experimented on, but I get now why his team was so will to turn him over to the Russians. Butcher is not far off as far as being a douchebag goes though. He was horribly abused by his father, but then left his little brother to the same fate. Ugh. Hughie appears to be growing a conscience again - I wonder how Starlight is going to react to Butcher willingly sacrificing him to the Temp V. And Maeve. Ah, brave Maeve. I truly hope there is some payback for her, preferably in the form of castrating Homelander. And kudos to all those who called the relationship between SB and HL. I can't believe there's only an hour left to wrap this all up.

  7. The one I'm thinking of definitely seemed more urban than that.
  8. This sounds like a great episode and now I will be disappointed if it doesn't go that way. LOL! There are two things that we saw in 'behind the scenes' pic pre-season: one paparazzi style pic in which Soldier Boy is standing among ruins. It's not the scene where he explodes at first, since he's wearing his suit in the pic, and it's not the Herogasm house - or at least it looks more like a big building. So maybe Vought tower? And then there's a pic that (I think) Jensen shared himself? Where SB is almost clean shaven, and in his super suit - and I don't know if that was for a flashback or a current-day scene. I feel like both them are going to come into play in these last two episodes though.
  9. I this preview clip we have a split second where we can see the person who Soldier Boy is beating to death with his shield. I don't recognize them though - is this the last member of Payback?
  10. I have a feeling tomorrow (tonight) is the day we find out that Soldier Boy really isn't a good guy.
  11. The only problem with this us, if you don't know why it breaks Dean's heart that Sam doesn't like him, or what it means to not have saved all these people, etc it wouldn't have the same impact. I'd skip Wendigo (tho you muss the iconic tag line of the series) and Hookman, Bloody Mary. But Dead in the Water and Skin are great stories I think. Faith, Scarecrow also great. I think if you watch those and aren't eager for more, you're not going to be. Nightshifter is also a top 5 for me, but I would stick with S1. It's a great example of how great it can be, but I would need the history to know why.
  12. Honestly I think the pilot is the best intro to the show.
  13. But probably not as satisfying. :) I took the Hughie slap as a 'get it together, man' kind of thing. According to Gunpowder, SB didn't have any problems with smacking someone around. I thought it was Maeve, and he knows that she is the one who gave Butcher the Temp V, and/or lead them to Russia.
  14. Probably not ;) Dean was almost always able to overcome outside influences/compulsions and stop himself from harming those he loved, where Sam... didn't. But not everyone can be Dean Winchester ;) I say almost, because Dean probably would've shot Sam in 8.06 if not for Garth, but that was the exception, not the rule.
  15. But all baggage aside, Sam was possessed by the literal devil, an archangel. Regular people with amnesia or memory issues can hate/be afraid of people they love more than life, but are triggered back to reality by a smell or a sound - so the army man triggering these memories in Sam didn't seem 'insulting' to Dean to me. Believe me, I get the issues of Jensen/Dean being screwed out of his story lines, but this? Seemed logical and interesting to me.
  16. I never saw it that way. I watched unspoiled and was actually surprised at some of the fandom takes on things once I caught up and went online (mid season ten). To me it meant that Dean knew Sam couldn't be left alone, wouldn't be strong enough to resist Lucifer without him. Sure, 'we keep each other human' meant him, too, seeing what he became after five years of Croats and his brother going darkside. But for him, it was humanity. For Sam it was literal. Same with the army man. I never attached this negative connotation to it and was surprised by that take. It triggered memories that let Sam gain control for a moment, to hear and see Dean. I'm aware that's an unpopular take, but watching it without any other input, that's how I saw it.
  17. He also left Sam in the beginning of S5, or at least didn't argue about Sam leaving. Even after Sam called him, Dean said "pick a hemisphere'. This time it took seeing a potential apocalypse to get them back together, not keep them apart. Way back in the beginning, Dean left Sam on the side of the road and was willing to be alone again. It was Sam who changed his mind and came back (Scarecrow).
  18. Yep, I spec'd that too. Homelander knows - he gave her the V for her daughter right? And commended her for sticking with her kind (and taking down Stan).
  19. Eh, only if they are/were Supernatural fans. CW and Supernatural are/were very much niche. Going by comments on social media and Youtube, there are a LOT of people enjoying Soldier Boy who had no idea who Jensen was.
  20. What's the alternative here? If we started watching because of Jensen (I didn't, been watching from the jump) we shouldn't 'influx' the discussion? Or we just shouldn't show our appreciation for him as much as any other member of the cast? I don't appreciate the implication that I only enjoy the character (or any character) because of the actor. There are more questions than answers about Soldier Boy at the moment, but I believe at least part of that is because Jensen gives some layers to the character that might not have been there on the page, thus the discussion. The vast majority of actual entertainment reviews I've read seem to agree.
  21. Do you think she'd say 'get your shit together' to her young daughter though? Just from the camera angle she appears to be talking 'up' to whoever it is.
  22. We still don't know! At least I don't. All we could see in the still was a foot/calf, that definitely looked white and male to me. I was leaning toward Starlight (sorry, Annie :P) but yeah, it could be Homelander. ETA: I guess there is an outside chance it's Hughie, now that she knows he knows who she is. I imagine she wants to keep up the pretense of being the Supe Police, so she could be giving him the come-to-jesus talk.
  23. And clearly SB is still thinking of Gunpowder as a teen, since that's how he last knew him. I wonder what he would've thought about how he turned out.
  24. I've read that there is a lot of back story and explanations to come. Here's hoping these questions are part of them!
