Home sick from work today (just a cough, nothing serious, not the ‘vid), so I get to watch live!

I just happened to be on lunch at 1, and with skipping through the warmups and replays, I was able to see all but 3 skaters (not including Loena). I guess we see what they’ll do with the rest.

I just logged on and the women’s SP replay is up, and at this hour, 1 pm central, it says I have 4 hours left to watch. ????

Has anyone else lost interest since they went to streaming? I was caught up when the switch happened, but I can’t be arsed to finish the first week of shows. Orpheus? Kristen suing for custody? Faux Jennifer? Sarah getting mad for dumb reasons? Pass, pass, pass, pass.

Could definitely do without Willow (Smith).

Is this going to be all competitions going forward? I literally just finished watching Worlds a couple of weeks ago.

Other frequent Tara favorites include “he/she/they need this….” before a skater or skaters go into a jump. No kidding, Tara. She loves the phrase “quad Revolution” when Jim Boyang skates.

Jackie Wong keeps stressing that nothing has been officially confirmed, so maybe that’s why? Of course, I haven’t refreshed Twitter in the last 10 minutes, and that’s literally how fast this story has been changing. So maybe it is confirmed and official.

They make me actively root against Valieva. I already root against the Eteri skaters, partly because of their constant lauding of HER, but here is a girl who really is great, and their grating commentary makes me want her to fail. But you’re right - where will she be next year? Who will be the next teen sensation? Add me to the list of people who wasn’t that thrilled with Kagiyama. Clean performance, charming kid, forgettable program. The Russian man should have gotten a costume deduction. Dude.

Always overscored, with terribly choreographed programs. And then afterwards she sits there with that mean little smirk on her face. Ack. I’m definitely old enough to be her mother, so I know I am far too old to be calling names. I just can’t stand watching that troll child fall all over the ice and win medals for it.
