  1. Where did you find this picture? It looks pretty iffy to me. David Jessop's head appears to be pasted in. He's in sharper focus and differently lit than everyone else in the photo and his neck is at an unnatural angle that doesn't line up with the rest of his posture.
  2. Yikes! Ok, yeah, I'll check it out, thanks.
  3. Do they have the same problem where the wives and children seem afraid of or even forbidden from admitting how the situation impacts them as people who getting very little attention from this one man and are all at the mercy of his whims? Are the situations as phony and obviously scripted?
  4. What shows are those? Are they more honest than SW?
  5. What other plyg families are all living in one house? Everything I've seen of those huge Jeffs' style compounds had the wives in separate little shacks across a large property or even a family owned village. The 3 Wives, 1 Husband guys had: 1) basically a small apartment building with 4 completely separate residences that shared no doors at all and 2) cottages across a giant property. The Browns were the first plyg family I ever saw, when their show first started, who were living in one dwelling. ETA: & I know they were imaginary, but the Big Love family's set up was damn near identical the Brown's Vegas setup except the imaginary family had a better shared yard.
  6. https://twitter.com/realkodybrown/status/1089694769087836160 As of one year ago he was publicly begging Whole Foods for an "add" gig… So you haven't dug up any evidence that the reported figures are wrong?
  7. Each wife + Kody was making 350k per season for the first several seasons. When ratings dropped off, the production budget was slashed. However, I highly doubt they did anything responsible with that money and we know Kody & Robyn were "six figures in debt" as of 2016. I have no idea how they're getting loans, etc. I think they really must have a separate source of income that we're not privy to.
  8. According to the only known reports of their salaries and conditioned against the normal percentage talent is paid out of a total episode budget, they're making just over 10k an episode before taxes.
  9. And a salon's entire monthly stock of hair products.
  10. They don't pay property taxes. They skipped out of LV to avoid paying their mortgages. If they had more money than we think, why wouldn't they have just paid the LV houses off? I get that Robyn had a litany of reasons she wanted to move and that whatever Robyn wants, Robyn gets, but this move could have been done with much less stress and angst and with much better planning if they hadn't felt like they had guns to their heads in the form of those balloon payments being due. If the plan had always been to skip out before the bulk payments were due, why wait until they had a matter of weeks to get out of dodge? Either these people are completely insane or there's some intentionally obfuscated element that makes sense of their decisions. I don't care if it's scripted or reality tv, the character motivations need to be believable and this is failing on that level (amongst others...).
  11. Nobody snacked in my house. You ate meals and that was that. Eating was never presented as a possible hobby to pick up.
  12. Someone else said that Annie moved in with another of her daughters (one of Christine's sisters) shortly after she disappeared from the scene at Meri's B&B.
  13. Yes. Her 2nd pregnancy hasn't even been revealed yet on the show.
  14. Maybe this is where Tony Who Works At A Bank comes in handy?
  15. Meri, Mariah and Audrey's Groucho Marx brows bother me far more. I will never forgive Cara Delevingne for bringing back the Brooke Shields caterpillar eyebrow look. The tattoo removal shops are going to have lines of microblading victims out the door in two years.
  16. OK. And then we subtract the 800k they spent to buy Robin's Flagstaff house. Add in their 135k from TLC for this year. Does anyone know when their salary was decreased to 135k or if they ever paid off the "six figure debt" from Dayton's injury? Did Robyn settle the 8k Kendra sued her for? It still seems like they're over well 500k in debt. And with no foreseeable income until/unless TLC gives them another 135k season for Winter 2020/2021. And, given their expenses, they'll likely be even further in debt in a year. There is clearly a missing piece of this math puzzle. If they can't afford to begin construction on the land, meaning: getting utilities set up, and they haven't sold the land, how did they afford to buy an 800k house? Given their 20+ year history of skipping out on (large) bills, why would any bank agree to give them another loan or mortgage? Does anyone honestly think Meri is sharing the bulk of her LLR income? I don't. Did Kody make far more money on the gun shows than we suspect? Did they actually make sound investments with their early paychecks? Is there some other mysterious income stream? Can all these houses be written off as 'business expenses' since they shoot there? What if the show ends?
  17. Why do they delay airing for so long?
  18. It did cross my mind that the medication Caleb was taking for his embolism might have had indications for causing birth defects.
  19. Robin brought 35k in debt into the marriage. Plus, MSWC tanking. Plus, Kendra suing her for thousands in unpaid design work. Plus, six figure debt from Dayton's 2016 medical expenses. Plus, who the hell knows what. I would be very surprised if she was responsible for paying off her own debt from her fair share of the pie rather than everyone else having their shares slashed to cover her losses.
  20. Someone posted an IG from Gwen in which she indicated she had a job and, as far as I can tell, it is separate from MLM insanity, but who knows? Christine, Garrison and several of the daughters are also hawking clothing online and Janelle continues to make STRIVE posts, but I don't see how that is possibly bringing in any money. Robyn's big venture, My Sister Wife's Closet, turned into another big pile of debt and seems to now be defunct. In another thread, people were discussing Kody's involvement with gun sales. There is no way they have enough money to fund their lifestyle. And Robin & Kody just bought another 800k house this fall. Someone speculated that they were expecting a windfall that never came, but I have doubts that any of them look far enough ahead to do anything according to any expectation.
  21. I have a half-baked theory that they're trying to speed up their next round of bankruptcies and that the Plague Pass purchase and this recent 800k house are part of this strategy. Don't ask me why! Nothing they do makes any sense!
  22. I think Meri knows it's never going to happen. And Robyn is the one who put the idea in his head and is feigning hesitation in an attempt to keep the audience from realizing she runs Kody like a hand puppet. I think all the other wives know by now that Robyn is the one calling the shots.
  23. His hatred of domesticated animals makes me as uneasy as all of his other glaring character flaws combined. What kind of person hates pets?

I think it's a way of objectifying their wives and feigning emotional disconnection. The same sorts of guys blame doing non-high-tech stuff in their houses on things having to be simple enough for their implied idiot wives to comprehend. Basically, these are men who no self-respecting woman would ever be or stay married to.
  25. It is an interesting admission from a woman who "willingly" had six children (in a plural marriage) that she's able to be a better a mother when there are fewer children to parent. To the majority of us this would seem obvious and a reason to not have 18 children, but…
