I finally got to watch on PBS last night. I mentally fast forward through the Charlotte stuff - I don't care about her at all. But I'm very invested in Esther! From the previews, it looks like she is going to wind up with Babbington and is now the sole heir of Lady Denham. It seemed odd that her Brother, Edward, would just go away. Isn't the house he lives in his? He has that, why would he leave?

Yeah LennieBrisco she is certainly "punching above her weight". He's far better looking than she is, but down to earth, AND he's accepted her with a serious disease. Not many people would do that unless they had already fallen in love despite the disease. She is headed to spinsterhood.

Yes - that house screams Bay Head which is way more upscale than Point Pleasant. Wondering why all we see are dinners - don't they go to the beach?

No -Ricky Bobby earned more than his wife who was debt laden. He was very very neat & clean and cooked for her. I don't see Austin doing any of that or buying her a new home with new furniture, etc. etc.

Yes - I thought the same thing! Why would she blurt out all this to a stranger? Duh - because the stranger is an important lady and is intrigued - she will bring all the fashionistas to Sanditon for the Regatta.

Yes to all of this - also the sex scene in the Great Hall - where were the servants? There were hall boys, footmen & a butler about - it was unreal. Also the nephew created such a mess of papers during his search. What does that show the Butler? In real life he would have carefully sifted through the papers and not throw them everywhere. The idea of Charlotte in London unchaperoned is ridiculous along with her escapades. Also - the dancing. At that time people did not embrace, as in a waltz, when dancing. Of course they had to invent a dance where part of it involved embracing. All that said I'll watch till the end.....
