  1. I know that this picked up where the previous episode left off, and like I mentioned in the thread for the subsequent episode, I can see where it was going with Stella getting the blame for something she didn't do. Regarding Cassie and Kevin, yes, I can see there was a little comic relief and I am not sure where the writers were going with this. I didn't even expect him to return in the following episode. However, I did feel some chemistry between the two, but I have a feeling that it might lead to something bad.
  2. When I watched that episode, I cringed at that scene. The only thing I would give it is that there was an unexpected turn for the woman to just give the car back to Stella. However, I found it unrealistic because that woman and her crew were criminals and there was no way she would just give the car back like that.
  3. It's been feeling quiet on this board. I'll try to bring some more life to it. Anyway, I just watched this episode last night. For the past few episodes I have seen the subplot involving Stella and Cordell being at odds because of what happened at the Side Step. I know a lot of people on here don't like Stella, and I am not the biggest fan of her, either, but at least this arc is giving her a little more development. I can't say I blame her for not wanting to talk to her dad about the party incident because August was the one to blame for everything. As for other things, I didn't expect that one guy to return. I like how the writers are giving Cassie more for her storyline. I wasn't sure about a love interest for her, but it's better than what I had thought the writers were going for by pairing her with Trey. I am glad it didn't go that route as those two feel more like platonic friends than a potential couple because then it would feel like Cassie was going to be an obvious replacement for Micki. Speaking of whom, I know Lindsey Morgan left the show but down the road, I would like for her to make a guest appearance. At the very least, I mean. Oh, and I wanted to smack August for saying what he said to Abby.
  4. To be fair, even though I liked the original "Walker, Texas Ranger" for its all-around cheese factor (and it was definitely a cheesy show), I like this show as its own thing. While some characters have their issues, I still came back for it. I guess I haven't reached the point where I tapped out of this show.
  5. I must say that the scene with Jeri and Gale was well acted and well edited. I will give the actress who plays Gale a lot of credit for her performance, whether it's the delivery in her dialogue or her emotions, it really made me feel for her, no matter how much of a scumbag she really is. As for the editing, I liked how there were points when parts of the dialogue went in sync with whatever was said in the present time. With Trey on the verge of becoming a ranger, I know that he will still be on the show. I also like his friendship with Cassie the more I see those scenes, but I hope that in season 3 that it still won't lead to anything. Even if it does, I wouldn't mind, but I just don't want Cassie to feel like a replacement of Micki (who I think should appear as a guest star down the road). Speaking of Cassie, while I liked the scene of her on the date, I wondered what the deal was with her date. With the season having reached its end, I wonder if it could be touched on in season 3.
  6. I have to say that I kind of enjoyed this episode. With Stella and Colton spending time together and the suspense of Colton's accident being a factor in the ongoing Walker vs. Davidson storyline that has been the main plot of season 2. I could see where Dan might start having a change of heart, since he claimed he didn't have anything to do with sabotaging Cordell's saddle. However, it does feel a bit like a plot hole because Dan just rode right by when Cordell fell after he helped Dan. Then again, it could be addressed in the next episode. In the thread for "Torn," I mentioned the part about how I hope that the friendship between Trey and Cassie won't lead into anything because I hope this isn't just some obvious replacement deal because of Micki's departure. However, I see that the two act more like friends in the platonic sense as it doesn't feel like there is any sexual or romantic tension. I felt a little bit of that with Cassie's friend towards Trey, however, but I am not sure if she is supposed to be a one-off character. Speaking of Cassie, after seeing that ending, I wonder where this will go. With only two episodes left of this season, I have to see next week's episode and the following one.

    S02.E17: Torn

I had been coming around this board, but I hadn't contributed to any threads on the episodes. I will give my take. I liked the chemistry between Cordell and Twyla. I hope this isn't the last we'll see of her. I mean I get why they won't get together at this point, but I could see her returning at some point. This whole ongoing love triangle between Stella, Todd, and Colton hasn't been that good, but in some ways I like Stella with Colton better. I hope it isn't because he reminds her of Trevor. Yes, I know that storyline is done, but just thought I'd make a point about that. Here is something that I am surprised hasn't been mentioned: In that past episode with that festival, I recall Trey and Cassie sharing a drink together, and at the start of this episode, he was training her. I like how they are bonding a bit, but the last thing I want is for those two to get together. I mean for Trey, it hasn't been that long since Micki left and I don't like the idea that because she is Hispanic that she is too much like a Micki replacement. Granted, I know the two have different personalities, but still. Although there is a side of me that believes that down the road, maybe in season 3 that Lindsey Morgan could return as a guest but that would be it.
  8. I disagree. I know people will always see her as Samantha, but I liked her in this role. It was a nice change and she played the part well.
  9. Fixed it. But yes, I think Netflix should have picked this up. If it does get saved, Netflix should probably be the way to go.
  10. I haven't been on here lately, as I mainly had been discussing this on Facebook groups. What got me was the ending. The moment I saw Becky approach Eugene with the baby, I knew, I mean I knew who the father of that baby was. The Monreaux family is torn apart, even though I am being Captain Obvious here. That Maxwell song really went well with that whole sequence. Man, I hope this show gets saved and is picked up by another network. There is a petition online for it. We can't let this show go by the wayside. Fox may have cancelled it, but this was one of the best shows I have watched in a while. I was only initially interested in it because I thought "Okay, I might check it out" and it was on after LA's Finest, which I have also gotten into. I really didn't think I was going to be into Filthy Rich as I had become. This show must be saved!
  11. With the real Jason waking up (or so it seems), I really wonder where this will go now. Also, the part about Becky getting a little fresh with Ginger, as it's shown on the preview for next week's episode, I will note that lesbianism is one thing that didn't cross my mind. Then again, so far on the show, it's been shown that she and Eric don't have the greatest marriage. I am still curious about Eugene. I know that this episode has shown that he is very much alive, at least that's how I see it. However, I'm still wondering about the kind of state he was in when he was taken care of by that woman at the swamp, and when he went to that retail store, and finally when he was arrested. A little off-topic, but I have to say that Alanna Ubach (Yopi, Antonio's mom) is still gorgeous. I remember thinking she was cute as far back as when she was on Beakman's World in the early-1990s. I know she is currently 45 and that's not really that old in this day and age, but still. Then again, Rachel York (Tina, Ginger's mom) is also gorgeous, in my opinion.
  12. I don't have Spectrum TV, so I am watching this on Fox. I am actually enjoying this show so far.
  13. My first post on this board (at least for this show) but I have been enjoying this show. I read some of the posts for prior episodes. It seemed plausible that Eugene was in a coma if he managed to get to a retail store and watch the show with the store's manager. Then came last night's episode. The prison guard just let him run off? Then came when he got to the yard of his house. He saw the prison guard, Juliette Lewis's character, and the lady who cared for him after the crash. I figured they were figments of his imagination and then saw Ginger's mom. I am really wondering where they are going with this plot.
  14. At some point, when Jill came in, I was like "this plot is 'pass the baby around.'" Of course, I kind of enjoyed it. Regarding Christy's allergy to cats, I'm glad that the show was consistent in its continuity. Because I actually remembered that when Christy, Bonnie, and the kids were staying with Marjorie, it had been shown that Christy is allergic to cats. I even remember the episode when she was looking for places to crash.
  15. While I found that part funny, I was actually hoping that there was some development in Rudy's character. He has been shown to be arrogant and conniving, so at first I thought that this was a way to give some more insight into his character. But no, it didn't turn out that way. Like I said, when he went back into the kitchen, I found that part to be funny.
  16. I knew that Harris was her last name because of the credits on IMDB and also through Archive of Our Own, as some fanfics were made of Mom.
  17. The more I looked at Wayne, the more I realized who that was. Peter Onorati is definitely one of those guys who you would recognize from stuff you have watched, despite not being a well-known name. I will always remember him as the guy who played Andrew Keegan's character's father in Camp Nowhere, as well as appeared in a 4-part episode of Walker, Texas Ranger as a New York detective. As for other parts, I was laughing at the closing line when Christy said, "I DON'T HAVE A MAN!"
  18. I had wondered what the resolution would be for the Aunt Cookie story. I am not in the least bit surprised. I know that there will be a third episode in that saga, but I don't want it to be so soon. I do know that there will be some resolution to that one and I know that it will not go well. As for the B-plot, I thought it was funny. I had a feeling that the guy was looking elsewhere when Christy made eye contact with him, but the part about him being gay and not speaking English was something I didn't expect. Nice revelation.
  19. The moment I heard Paul (Rudy's sidekick) talk, I was like "He can talk?" I even started thinking of the Planet of the Apes musical sequence from The Simpsons. Also, I had been waiting for a 3rd Rock reunion for quite some time. It finally happened and I was satisfied with that plot.
  20. Now that I think about it, there was one episode where it's blink-and-you'll-miss and you would see the guy who played Dharma's father from Dharma & Greg in an episode of Mom. I don't think he had lines, but it was him. If only he was in a scene with Marjorie, as she played Dharma's mother. Or maybe Jenna Elfman could appear in an episode. I could also imagine for Jill if any fellow My Name is Earl cast members would appear, like Jason Lee, Ethan Suplee, or Eddie Steeples. There is that one show that is on TBS that is done by the same guy who did My Name is Earl and Raising Hope, and Jaime Pressly has appeared on it.
  21. Good news, everyone! It turns out next week's episode will have the 3rd Rock reunion we've all been waiting for. Chef Rudy will return and the plot has something to do with him and Tammy. Can't wait!
  22. Just wondering, but did they change actors for Marjorie's son? I could have sworn that her son was played by someone else back in season 1 (At least I think that was when that episode aired) but now, he was played by Hodges from CSI. I guess Matt Roth was busy or couldn't be reached. Either way, it was a good episode and we finally got a Marjorie storyline after quite a while.
  23. At the start of season 3, Christy got word that Bonnie's mother had tracked down her daughter. Bonnie was reluctant in meeting her, though her mother said that she was dying. There was a scene with Bonnie and her mother talking so that Bonnie could get closure.
  24. Tammy has really grown as a character. The thing with her aunt really made me remember the episode of Bonnie's mother, but it wasn't as heartbreaking. Keyword is "as." It was still a heartbreaking story, especially when you see the bit at the bistro. However, the one with Bonnie's mother really tugged my heartstrings that I am usually iffy about giving that episode a re-watch.
  25. Yes, that's her. I looked her up and had seen her in various things. Thank you so much.
