I don’t think they set a limit. It’s just that by five years, someone has usually done everything that can possibly be done within dcc, and if not, it’s because Kelly and Judy have chosen someone else, like point, or calendar cover.

The issue I have with training camp being so long is that in order to do it, some people have to move to Dallas and give up jobs (I think most workplaces won’t let you take two months’ leave), only to be possibly cut after such a long time. You’re basically either committing to live in Dallas for the year no matter what or ready to find a new job if you’re cut.

You call that a mild description. People love to co-opt the my body my choice thing for a vaccine, but for another topic we won’t get into on this forum…some people are all how dare you? Again not getting into that topic here, but that is a very pointed phrase.

It would be incredible for someone like Jennifer Amburn to have a baby and then somehow go back to the same dimensions such that her custom uniform would somehow fit her again.

Don’t need to fix the skills if you’re guaranteed a spot. So much hypocrisy about raising the bar. On the other hand we're not saying how it needs to be fixed. If a non-dancer were to say that, sure. But we’re just calling WHAT needs to be fixed.

And she was still recovering from Covid 19. I’m wondering though if she should have taken them up on the opportunity to defer a year? Although even with that she could have been cut the next year at finals.

Yes, I think some of her accents could have been harder. But it was still technically proficient and well choreographed to the music. The edit made it look much worse.

Yes! And stop calling it a bubble! If the women did not quarantine for 14 days with their own bathroom and bedroom, wear masks around others, and socially distance before entering a training camp, they did not create a bubble. There was time for the virus to incubate in someone. Add to training camp the obvious times where there was not strict social distancing or masking and the one day audition members, and it was definitely not safe. For Hannah, if we’re just going by editing, give her a pass for school. She doesn’t have time to put in extra hours for practice like other team members do with her finals and projects in the two weeks she was there. Some could argue that other people did full time jobs, but at least with those, if you’ve been in them long enough, you could get less sleep to practice and go on autopilot with them. This is newer material that requires more sleep, and it’s masters level material.

They did the same thing to Tara. Instead of offering support, she just got cut. They also cut Jalyn from show group last year then told her she had a chance again this year and didn’t take her back on. She should retire after this year because they’ve clearly blacklisted her. It can take up to eight weeks for olfactory nerves to regenerate. I took all the precautions and still got COVID. Luckily for me, my sense of taste and smell came back two weeks later, and the rest of the symptoms were very mild.

Well technically Brennan just got fired, so unless the nondisclosure is in her contract, she’s not obligated to them anymore.
