  1. I just realized the sound may have been muffled through the hospital shootout to put us more in Joel’s shoes as they had referenced more than once his loss of hearing. Brilliant season and finale. It was very hard to watch at times, but I think they made it worth it. I’m dreading season 2 though. 😬
  2. My heart has been ripped out in every episode thus far, but this took the cake. I lost it, and I’m a little scared about how I’m going to handle the rest of the season if each episode has been this emotional. I am more than grateful that they didn’t show us the details of what happened to the mother and baby that had clearly been killed and left by the road. Also, leave it to Ron Swanson to still be dining on a juicy cut of meat & some wine in the apocalypse. 😁
  3. Powerful episode. I continue to be blown away by how good this show is. It’s my fave show out right now, & it’s not even close. I just love how rooted this series is in community & friendship. The emotional elements are just top tier & executed perfectly. Well done to everyone involved here.
  4. Loved this episode! I wasn’t fully sold on the first 2 episodes, but this one fully reeled me in to the story. I’m now invested in Bunny’s murder in a way that I wasn’t with Tim Kono, and I’m so glad they took the opportunity to really show us the woman behind the gruff exterior. That poor woman didn’t deserve her fate, & I’m ready to see the killer pay for it. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that this episode was the best so far and there was no sign of Amy Schumer. Sorry, but I’ll have to pile on here & just say her vibe just doesn’t match the show.
  5. Really loved this season! My wild theory is that Bunny’s killer is one or more of the podcast fans that was outside the building. They may have also been responsible for the text to get Charles & Oliver out of the building. Motive? To give the crew a new murder to solve & keep their fave podcast going. Anyway, wild speculation, but can’t wait to see where they go with this next season.
  6. The absolutely matter of fact, confident public takedown of Zain was so powerful. Just jaw dropping. I can’t wait to see the fall out from this scene. And Zain looked to be sitting next to his mother. Wow. Hopefully Henny House dumps his ass. Comparing this absolute moment of empowerment to poor Kwame alone in the station & the contrast is devastating. I hope he confides in his friends next episode because I hate that he’s dealing with this alone.
  7. He’s just another detective that works there. He was pissed he was called in early from his vacation (the hunting trip) because he had to cover for the other detectives that were out (Ralph on leave & the other giving birth). I finished reading the book just in time for the show’s release, and I’m impressed so far with how well they’ve adapted the material. Ben Mendelsohn is great as the conflicted detective, & I’m excited to watch the rest of the series.
  8. Holy shit, that was amazing! The gag with the storm troopers unable to hit the target was hilarious! I was so impressed with the writing in this episode. So many awesome moments! I love that the armorer gave Mando his new signet and his first rocket pack. Baby Yoda continues to be the cutest thing I’ve ever seen and had so many adorable moments. Moff Gideon is an excellent villain, and I can’t wait for season 2. Oh was also surprised they really killed Kuiil. I thought for sure he would just be injured and the baby would heal him this episode, but it was not to be. This series is the actual BEST!
  9. God, this show just rips your heart out doesn't it? That last scene with Bryce texting Jessica and her breakdown. Ouch, that fucking hurts! ?
  10. What kind of dumbfuck would say all of that about a monastery in another dimension to a psychiatrist?! He had just won him over & convinced him he was Danny when he had to start sharing all that b.s. That was so frustrating!
  11. Well I watched it from start to finish so it wasn't awful, but I think it could have also been much better. Sadly, Marco Polo ended up being one of the least interesting characters. Hundred Eyes was awesome, but a blind Kung Fu master is kind of automatically awesome. I thought Mei Lin was really interesting but underutilized for most of the season. The nude fight scene was pretty neat in my book. I also wondered how the goofy teenage Jia Sidao transformed into this master warrior/ manipulator as an adult. It would have been nice to see a little more of his back story since it seemed to be a pretty huge leap to me. I enjoyed Kublai a great deal especially in the earlier episodes. It seemed like we got a lot less of a peek into his mind in the later episodes though which I thought was disappointing. I am really looking forward to Ahmed and Mei Lin stirring up trouble next season.
  12. While I do think that perhaps this season was too neatly tied up in a bow when Rosa ran over Vee, it sure was satisfying so I won't complain about it. "Don't Fear the Reaper" was also an excellent song (even if it was too on the nose), and I loved the physical transition from old Rosa to young Rosa in the car as she gleefully sped away in the van. Overall, I think this was a good second season, and I loved getting to know different characters like Poussey.
  13. Apparently older devices don't have subtitles on Netflix. Looks like I have an excuse to make an upgrade in my future. :) I pulled the eps up directly on the Netflix site and I was able to catch all the parts I missed the first time for anyone else experiencing this issue. Thanks for all the feedback.
  14. Thanks for the info! It looks like I'll have to rewatch the foreign language heavy episodes again via other methods.
  15. I suppose it must depend on your streaming device. That's a bummer.
