Wrong week to be forgettable. Her sing order that week hurts A LOT. Complacency factor? During the intro package, she mentioned Dirty Diana was a song she performed with her band all the time before the competition. Not that this is uncommon for singers, I'm sure they all had their playlists; but FFS don't announce it to the world you already had plenty of practice with it. Plus, Dirty Diana was never posted on the official The Voice youtube channel. I was surprise how badly it charted. Not catchy enough of a tune? Switch DD with Creep and she probably could have made the finals. (most likely) She never had much of a voting fan base to begin with. She needed a *Rising Sun moment* to to capture the casual votes. Wonder what would've happen... if Pharrell had kept Kimberly in Battles (over that clown Lowell), thus allowing Koryn to stay with Christina (assuming she beats whoever in KO's). Probably ended up the same for Kim. P didn't do much coaching this season, but Koryn may have been long gone if not for that game changer Make It Rain.

Why the Top3 designation instead of finals? She did get Chris Mann to the finals in S2, but yes he finished 4th.

Koryn makes Joshua Ledet looks tepid. I just can't with her overwrought-ness anymore. Cut it out, or give her a song about genocide to go with all that "emotions". Ugh!

What song are you refering to? Make It Rain doesn't feel very wgwg-esque. A wgwg song by Ed Sheeran would be something like A-Team or Give Me Love. In the name of SYTYCD, Sonya Tayeh will be the choreographer to Make It Rain; while Travis Walls will do something with Give Me Love.

If Gloria has a green card, why does she and Jay have to wait in separate lines at airport immigration? Permanent residents and citizens go through the same lines. Also, she doesn't have to renounce her Colombian citizenship either, because Colombia allows dual citizenships. Gloria probably just haven't gotten around to it. After all, it's not that important unless she wants to vote, or work at places that requires citizenship (ie: air traffic controller, run for office), or serves on jury duty (which apparently she is interested in! lol) Bad research, writers. Bad.

I don't see it as a "why bother", unless they announce the results at the beginning of the show. (or middle like what they did to Tyanna). I like this format because it gets rid of the pointless filler results show, and it lets the bootee have one more performance in front of millions while not in tears or otherwise sad. That is one more performance to pad the resume (in this case 2), so make it count! Kinda like in SYTYCD. Several non-finalists get dancing jobs in various shows, music videos, movies, DWTS etc. Brittany Cherry is one of them, and she was eliminated after the 1st week! I'm talking about the whole package, voice + looks + demeanor on stage. Rob Thomas had this over-pronouncing tendency in his singing. Idk if "over-pronounce" is the right choice of words either, but that Rob-style is kinda distinctive with the way he shapes his mouth when he sings, and I'm just not seeing or hearing it in Nick. He's definitely Daughtry without the grit though.

I'm curious, which of the top contestants (all seasons) have the largest crowd for their hometown visits? I remember someone had a mini concert at an arena. Or was it baseball field?

I'm not seeing the Rob Thomas resemblance. I see a bit of Chris Daughtry, a bit of Adam Levine and a bit of Jimmy Fallon. Blend those 3 together, remove their respective strengths, and you get Nick.

Nah I don't think it has anything to do with the provocation. After all, the show aired on NBC. The reason it's not on youtube is probably because of copyright issues with certain MJ's songs.

One of them is an oopsie. Wasn't it Blake who said last night that Koryn is 17, and her mother is 19? I know it's a joke, but her mother does look young lol.

India was the one who peaked early and then took a dip and plateau. Joshua never peaked (lol), he's as best rolling hills type. Sawyer started on Mt Everest and went on a steady hang gliding trip to the trophy case. Christina's chance to win just shattered with the plate that just went out the window. Kimberly was unfortunately middle-ground last night; coupled that with her unlucky sing order... it was the perhaps the worst night to be "forgettable". Sigh, why can't there be a Wild Card round this season?!!

So sad to see Kimberly's songs so far down the list. 41 ranks behind Lay Me Down. :( He would hit #1 if he fling his hat off after the final note and then stomp on it. Easily.

Kimberly's over the top House of the Rising Sun and Creep were very well received. I don't believe OTT is her problem tonight. I agree on #3 though. Dream On without the climax is like "meh what's the point".

I think they are only eliminating one this week. Someone on the show said something about making Top 5. edit: Also, if you look on tv.com episode guide, they also mention a 5-person Semi's and (presumably) a 4-person Finals.

Sing order (of the 1st song): India, Joshua, Koryn, Kimberly, Meghan, Sawyer. Isn't that like Captain Obvious Placement of the Season? The show really can't be -that- transparent.

And only in the US where college football coaches get paid 7 figures salary. (geez, a LOT more coaches in the million+ club than I expected) Gloria must be exhausted from... having to listen to her own migrane-inducing voice all day.
