  1. I’m pretty sure her male bff replacement was Finn but they hardly share scenes together anymore. I think Gregory replaced his role in her life. Valentin, once they started getting along anyway, was always treated more like family, even when they thought they weren’t related
  2. There’s been multiple actors who have called out the lack of balance on the show as well and how the show rarely utilizes all of its cast members properly because they center everything around a chosen few. Usually it only comes up once the actor is off the show but people are very, very aware of it. It’s not all in our heads
  3. TJ, you married into a family who all have ties to Sonny. He’s Molly’s uncle, Kristina’s father, Sam is dating his son and has a kid with his business partner, hell even Alexis is pretty friendly with him. Like even if we forget about the years that TJ’s father worked for Sonny and TJ liked/admired him or say he changed his opinion as an adult, he’d have to be absolutely blind to think his kid would never be around Sonny.
  4. I’m glad TJ is getting POV regarding the baby but I’m also annoyed by him. He’s been very clear about the fact that he didn’t want Kristina to be the surrogate/egg donor but was spineless when it came up. He mostly just complained about it to his family after the fact. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s purposefully distant with this pregnancy because of his poor relationship with Kristina. TBH I think Molly and TJ were so set on making Kristina the villain of this story when they are the real ones who don’t seem to be all that into the pregnancy anymore. They can’t even be bothered to attend doctor’s appointments. So why are the MC’s issues all falling on Nina? What’s Olivia doing? I mean, her bitching about Nina firing an obviously incompetent employee because it’s mean kind of leads me to believe that she’s the problem when it comes to the staff. Not that I buy that Nina would be managing the day to day operations of that place at her level. Jax never did when he owned the MC and Nina has 2 other jobs. She’d treat the MC like an investment and hire a manager. They are really setting Nina up with having her tell everyone that Carly is sleeping with Jagger. One because she’s going to end up with egg on her face when it comes out that she’s not hit even if she was, who’s that impacting? Both of them are single. Are they fazing out the Savoy? What was up Drew wanting Curtis to head up some fitness venture with him? So most of the Qs went to fancy European boarding schools and travelled extensively across the world but trust fund BL has never been to Florence despite the fact that she’s been wanting to go forever and Chase had to sell his car to finance the trip on his own? I guess show
  5. I’m just being honest. I don’t think the show has ever been “balanced”. At least not during the entire time I’ve been watching. Seems like every HW and EP has their set of faves who get focus and POV while the rest mainly get shafted or are brought on to support other people’s SLs. I’m not entirely sure if there is a way to give equal focus to 35-40 characters. Now there are times when it’s kind of obvious that an actor’s contractual guarantees don’t line up with the writer’s interest in the character and we’ll see someone on all the time but is constantly inserted into other people’s SLs, which really tend to annoy fans of characters who have to deal with their own faves being cycled.
  6. Im also starting to think Ava is the red herring and not the schemer, which is disappointing if true. They’ll figure out Sonny meds were tampered with and Ava’s fingerprints are on the bottle along with her history of tampering with medications so she’ll be suspected.
  7. I’m assuming they had Ava take Sonny’s bipolar meds to realize that they’re different but it’s so dumb. Even ignoring the fact that Ava thought someone else’s regular prescription meds to fall asleep was preferable to just running out to get some melatonin, them not making her sleepy means nothing. Not every drug that “may cause drowsiness” will make every person who takes it drowsy and it being a lower dosage than Sonny was taking wouldn’t mean that they wouldn’t affect Ava- who unlike Sonny hasn’t been on bipolar meds for decades and is smaller.
  8. You know, as much effort as they’ve taken to make Michael the lead of his age group, he and Willow are pretty isolated from their peers. They’ve made Cody/Sasha new bffs with Maxie and Spinelli so we saw them regularly interacting and BL was working with Sasha and Maxie so they were always together. Kristina and Michael were close as teens but they’ve pretty much dropped that relationship while she’s always around her other relatives. Michael and Willow are mainly around their much older relatives or alone save the big group events.
  9. It’s cool, I got where you’re coming from. IRL, I don’t disparage SAHMs or ladies of leisure at all and think it’s a valid choice if that’s what they want to do. However, I don’t think it works for a soap character unless said character is maybe over 60 and has adult children and grandchildren to fuss over. Jobs provide ways to insert them in stories and allow them to interact with characters they might not otherwise talk to. There’s no story in Willow listening to Michael talk about his day and her very young children can only give her so much to do onscreen. Unless a kid gets extremely sick, kidnapped or stuck in the middle of a tense custody battle, they don’t have much in the way of storyline potential for their parents until they reach their teen years.
  10. He never wanted her to go back after the cancer battle. They had a big fight over it and he used the same argument about how she doesn’t need the money because he has money. I don’t think SAHMs or wives on soaps work for a lot of reasons and that’s why they all pretty much have jobs, even if it’s just for fun. When they aren’t working, the show only writes them talking about what their SOs are doing and it’s been like that the entire time I’ve watched the show. However, Willow is a stepford wife whether she has a job or not. Even when she worked, we hardly saw her there. Those 2 episodes she was there recently were likely just so she could steal meds for Jason. She doesn’t have an identity but it’s not because of her job. She defines herself as Michael’s wife and mother of his children.
  11. Willow is locked in as Mrs. Michael Corinthos. She’s ready to stop working because it’s taking away time from the kids. Michael of course was all for it and said she could help with charity work the Qs are involved in if she gets bored. Basically the only way she could have developed relationships outside of Michael and his circle (working at GH) is going away.
  12. Yeah, I’ve suspected that for awhile and it’s not just because she’s being shady. They have her so isolated right now. She spends almost all her scenes with Sonny and they can’t seem to think of much else to do with her other than open the door for his guests, fix him drinks and lurk in the background.
  13. That and Carly has been handed several fortunes from her exes and a business from her mother. The fact that she isn’t extremely wealthy right now kind of is more of a reason to not give her more money. Plus the show will never sell me on Jake and Danny being loaded from whatever tiny percentage of ELQ they got. They can’t even sell the stocks since voting rights are attached to them and Valentin somehow was able to buy 50% of those stocks with whatever funds he stole from the Cassadines before losing control.
  14. MW must be bored out of her mind. She spends like 90% of her scenes standing off to the side while Sonny talks to someone else
  15. Something weird is going on with the show. The episodes keep fluctuating between greater than I’ve seen in this show in years and I don’t want to ffw a single scene but are followed up with episodes like today which was worse than anything Chris/Dan came up with during their whole run. I can’t figure out why the quality is so inconsistent
  16. What is interesting to me is since the HW change, we have so many characters who are more fleshed out, getting stronger POV, or are getting a hard reset but on the other hand, they are leaning into Carly and Joss’ worst characteristics and they might be even more one dimensional than before.
  17. I’m glad it’s not just me. She plays zero layers and if the actress is that limited, she shouldn’t be written like this. Every scene is just some variation of her being angry, rude, or condescending. It’s exhausting
  18. Her rage is convenient. She justifies the crimes everyone in her life does by basically saying these adults have no agency and it’s all Sonny pulling the strings and forcing them to do things. Im sure if she ever finds out about the laundry list of crimes Carly/Jason chose to commit when they were in charge, she’ll shrug it off. She’s so quick to scoff at Kristina for ignoring what her father does when I think Kristina is fully aware of what Sonny does but she compartmentalizes. It’s Joss who covers her eyes and screams at anyone who calls out her loved ones for being criminals because she wants to pretend otherwise.
  19. I think she’s always been rude and self involved but now that she’s in her 20s, they can’t pass it off as typical spoiled teen behavior. I haven’t seen any growth from her as she’s gotten older, if anything, she was more tolerable at 14. Sounds like they might be looking at a prospective career change for her though. I hope they happens because there’s absolutely no chance I can see her having decent bedside manner as a doctor or giving proper treatment to someone she doesn’t like or someone whose wronged something in her inner circle, which pretty much always happens to the GH staff at one time or another.
  20. I’m ready for them to dump their entire 30s set and replace them. Michael/Willow are already a boring, old married couple, Chase/BL somehow also managed to be one and haven’t even gotten married yet, and Cody/Sasha are a big old dud. 6 characters in the prime age group and they are all bland. Maxie is the only one whose gotten better writing and a personality but I think she’s firmly in supporting character territory now.
  21. I’m not sure what to think about the fact that the show pretty much only have Sam and Liz on to either support another person’s SL or talk to/worry about their kids. That was standard practice for most actresses on this show once they got past a certain age and their children became teens but I thought the show moved away from it in the past decade since we’ve seen tons of leading stories for their 50+ actresses. I enjoy family stories but they get mostly one sided and as someone who hasn’t been a fan of the teen set since I was one, it gets a little disappointing if you’re a fan of the parent character.
  22. Same here. I think they have chemistry but it’s clear he still thinks Carly walks on water and if she lied to him and told him he’s a priority, he would have continued being her lapdog and ignoring his kid for her. Unless he recognizes how stupid he’s been and how wrong he was about Carly, he’s not a viable pairing for any woman, most of all Nina.
  23. Exactly. Let’s be honest, Drew is the loser here. He sacrificed everything for a woman who doesn’t give a damn about him and only bowed out because he 100% knew he was a placeholder. There’s absolutely no way he should have the upper hand.
  24. She didn’t have to take over. Jason did and she inserted herself because she couldn’t help herself. It ended up doing way more harm than good because that’s why they said she had to be killed Technically, kidnapping Cyrus’ mother was 100% her idea. She thought it was a genius move to keep him in line when it did nothing to stop Cyrus from going after them and for some reason, he threatened Nikolas into getting his mother back for him. Jason covered for her after the fact and that’s what led to Cyrus framing him for something and getting him thrown in prison
  25. I knew it was all about shielding Carly from her own choices. Jason’s been doing that for decades. If I was remotely interested in Jason or his return, I’d be annoyed but since I haven’t found him a compelling character since the 90s, I don’t care all that much. Hope Danny can come to the same realization that Jake did soon enough. Drew’s a complete asshole and I don’t get what we’re supposed to be thinking about him continuing to harass Nina. It’s obvious that he’s lashing out because of his own garbage choices but why beg her to come back to work when you can’t stand the sight of her and want to bash her every chance you get? I’m sure it’s a setup but I’ve never much of a been a fan of bickering leading to hooking up and it seems particularly mean spirited when Nina is being harassed by the entire town, not just Drew, and only returned to Crimson because he threatened to shut down the magazine and cause the staff to lose their jobs if she didn’t.
