You know for all their talk about Diane being the most amazing lawyer ever, whenever they show her lawyering, she comes off like just as big a clownish, ambulance chaser as Scott. The transitive property of Sonny, Jason and Carly’s massive plot armor where they never pay despite being obviously guilty does the heavy lifting for Diane since those are her main clients.

You know, I could kinda understand Ava blaming Alexis for Julian’s downfall. It’s completely deluded and misses the point of why Alexis left him but she’s said before that she thought Julian was still in love with her when he died and maybe he would have felt more motivated not to pull the crap he did if he still had her. However, where she lost me is claiming to care enough about Julian to want to harm Alexis yet mooning over and trying to play house with the guy who actually murdered him.

Starting to believe that NLG and LD only have onscreen chemistry when they are feeding/hooking up IRL because things were wonky between them the last time he was on GH as well.

Problem is this version of Sam will get mad for 1 episode at most and forget about it. She’s doing it under the guise of wanting to help him for Danny’s sake but knowing this information doesn’t help Jason in any way. It’s not really any different than how Carly wants to know everything because she’s nosy and frequently causes more problems by butting in.
-
So Sam is risking a felony to find out what info the FBI has on Jason to make him work for them since he won’t tell them anything? And if she finds out the truth, what is she planning on doing with it? It’s not going to help him or change anything. Seems like a big risk with no benefit

Worse- they retconned Neil’s death a couple years ago. Harmony broke into Alexis’ house and murdered him but made it look like he ODed because Neil was going to expose that she kidnapped Willow. Alexis really has nothing to do with it other than being the one to find him dead and thinking she missed his non existent drug addiction
-
They’re trying to have their cake and eat it with her. She keeps blowing smoke about how she’s going to hold Sonny accountable and trying to force people like Molly to assist because they have to overcome their biases but everytime she gets wind of a crime he’s involved with, she comes up with some bs reason to not go through with charging him. I’d almost rather they go back to the old way of the PCPD trying to get Sonny and failing if the alternative is Anna not even trying,
-
They’re really backing the bus over Ava. Now she’s the reason Alexis lost her law license? And over Julian, who IIRC was in a full on relationship with someone else before Alexis ever laid eyes on Neil Anna is a completely inept police commissioner

I think we’d only hear from an exiting actor who has little to no intention in returning to soaps in the future. Vinessa Antoine’s interview a few years back was pretty enlightening on how things worked there.
-
Cute interview. I remember hearing that they didn’t get along but that doesn’t seem to be the case, at least not anymore
-
I like Lane Davies but they already tried to do a Mason/Julia redux with them on this show 20 years ago and I don’t think they were able to repeat it so not sure if going in even more heavy handed about it by making them bickering lawyers will work. I honestly can’t recall a time when actors were able to replicate their successful pairing on another show playing different characters.

Ava isn’t really in the inner circle. They were getting along with her better prior to this recent shift. Sonny temporarily trusts her but he isn’t getting along with most of his inner circle right now and none of them like or accept Ava because she is hanging onto Sonny while they’re frustrated with him. Hell Sonny doesn’t seem to really respect her either if you consider how he talked about her to Brick the other day. So she’s doing all of this for no real gain and will get blasted once everyone finds out she knew about his meds being tampered with. I don’t get where she ends up at the end of this because they are taking her back to her 2016-2018 town pariah era but she doesn’t have people like Julian and Kiki around anymore. She’s already thrown over Nina, Trina will likely jump ship once Ava gets exposed, and we already know that Sonny is petty enough to keep her away from Avery.
-
I guess off his meds Sonny is a truth teller the same way drunk Alexis and cat poop disease Sam were. He got to call Jason out for being a deadbeat to Jake and Danny
-
I’m starting to dislike TJ more than Molly. Like they’re both judgmental but TJ straight up talks about Kristina like she’s a handmaid who should be locked away while he incubates his child and will never be around them again. It’s gross
-
So Anna gives Robert, the actual DA, a pass on prosecuting Jason and now Sonny but makes Molly do it despite Jason being her nephew’s father and Sonny being her pregnant sister’s father even though there are 4 other ADAs who won’t have the same conflict of interests? I’m sorry, but that lady is brain dead.

PI think they’re trying to play Sonny as crossing the line with Cyrus because he’s older and not actively in the mob but it’s not resonating with me. Like others have said, Sonny isn’t exactly young himself, they’re practically peers. It’s not like it was Dex or Michael attacking Cyrus. Also, Cyrus did some pretty reprehensible things up until fairly recently and I don’t get why they are pulling this poor man crap with him when he’s responsible for several murders, attempted murders, and kidnappings, not to mention all he did before he came to PC that we don’t know about. Having a come to Jesus moment at 70 doesn’t make him a decent person and Laura should be the last person on the planet defending him after he ordered a hit that put Lulu into a coma, which before anyone asks, she is aware of because she attacked him over it when it happened. It’s common knowledge that Cyrus was behind the Floating Rib explosion

I think you all accidentally got tomorrow’s episode. The previews had Alexis/Finn, BL/Chase, Anna etc. though my episode description for today matched your episode better than mine. The only thing that we had that matched the description is Trina talking to and about Joss/Dex.
-
I saw some recaps on Twitter that made no sense. Apparently, Canada is showing a different episode than ours but both are new. That is so weird.
-
Also, I know this is probably an UO, but I’ve always found Michael and Jason’s relationships to be overstated and he only got a pass because he wasn’t the biological father despite the fact that he considered himself Michael’s dad. Jason only actively parented Michael for a few months and post custody battle, we barely saw him around Michael. He left town when he saw Carly with Sonny even though he and Carly weren’t together and “gifted” his family to Sonny. They even had Sonny say he wanted to continue being Michael’s father after he and Carly split because he felt guilty that Jason left because of him and didn’t want Michael to lose another father. That’s not much different than how they turned Lucky into a deadbeat. Yeah, Jason shows up for the hero moments with Michael but that’s what he does with everyone. It’s the day to day he’s not interested in.

ITA. Early Jason and Robin was the only time I saw him as a viable romantic interest. I think once Michael was born and during cottage hell, it started going downhill for him. Once Jason returned to town in 2002, he was full on robothug and not an enjoyable love interest. All of his pairings by that point and on involved the women doing the heavy lifting while he occasionally graced them with a smile and they were supposed to fall over at their feet that he would deign to look at them despite the fact that being with him put them in danger and he made his SOs the last priority in his life. The only thing that changed with time is they added on him being a deadbeat dad. I’ve never gotten the impression during the last 20 something years that Jason even gave a damn when he was single or got lonely or wanted more to his life than what he had. He’s content with being a hired gun and emotional support human.
-
Carly was 100% hoping that Jason would want to pursue a romantic relationship since they’re both single. Her voice cracked when he said he liked things the way they are. The Sonny factor has only ever been an issue for him. Carly would destroy Sonny in a heartbeat if she had a sliver of hope of getting Jason, father of her children or not.

Ava’s plotting but they haven’t done a good job of letting the audience in on her plans or motivations so it’s hallow. I suspect the writers haven’t quite figured it out yet. Like she’s clearly setting Nina up to anger Sonny even more but he’s already done with her so I don’t get why she’s doing it other than to pile on to Nina even more by gifting Carly another win with the outcome of no one appreciating it and Sonny being annoyed rather than happy about it
-
I’ll never buy Laura going out on a limb like this for Heather of all people. Their connection is tenuous at best. Her adopted father’s brother was married to her a zillion years ago and it wasn’t a particularly long or happy marriage. If it was one of her kids or grandkids, sure, but they needed to bring back someone like Stephen if they wanted to do this SL.

I don’t necessarily think it’s a good idea for BL to buy Chase a truck but this show tends to get very fixed in its gender roles. We just had Michael encourage Willow to quit her job because “they” have plenty of money and that’s just the latest in a line of relationships on this show where the man has substantially more money than the woman and no one makes the woman in those case feels she has to contribute equally. Tracy isn’t exactly one to talk. Luke was basically a bum who married her for her money even though she likes to pretend otherwise now. At least Chase isn’t a gold digger and is gainfully employed.
