Jer is morphing into Michael Jackson, with the kids always wearing masks.  And not even protective masks.  What a jackass.

The sweet Vuolo children look creepy in those masks. Probably because of the mystery surrounding their actual faces these days.

They are not wearing masks. They are stickers that have been added digitally before posting the pictures to social media to obscure their faces. There are many celebrities that do similar, Kristen Bell and Lin-Manuel Miranda are a few examples.

I applaud them for taking some steps to protect their kids. They are damned if they do, damned if they don't when it comes to pictures. If they never posted pictures of the kids people would be upset about that as well.

  2. I think there was some editing shenanigans. Jurgen's choux-nuts had the same deflated look as Chrystelle's, but the judges didn't say anything about it. I can't imagine that they wouldn't have so I can only guess they edited it out. Why? Maybe because Jurgen is in the finals or wins and they don't want him looking bad? There was just such a marked difference in how they looked.

  3. I don't doubt that he is being pressured into spending money on JillR. But also the courtship model is specifically about bringing the potential spouse into day to day activities with the whole family. This is to help you see their character displayed in their reactions.

On one occasion I was told "you need to see how they react when your youngest sibling spills milk in their lap". Courtship is very much about the idea that you are marrying into (and marrying) the whole family.

So they are looking for Jonathan to show that he wants to babysit the youngest children and that he's happy to do mundane chores because he needs to show what a good family member and future father he will be.

I only have feeds on in the background, but Ky has been talking non-stop about how he could have gone all night on this competition and he wasn't tired at all and the strategy he had of standing/sitting was working perfectly for him.  In fact, it was working so well that he felt safe and was caught off guard so he fell.  But he totally could have gone all night.  Also, he was perfectly fine with staying all night, but also his arm hurts when he stretches it a certain way.  CBS, be advised:  A class action lawsuit is forming in his mind right now.

Ah yes, my brother once after not winning a board game declared "I would have won if I hadn't lost!" Seems like this is Ky's mentality too.

  5. I'm twice the age of these ladies and ate sushi for the first time two weeks ago. And I'm not sheltered. I've just never had occasion to go to a sushi restaurant. And I did not like it. If you put a plate in front of me on tv I'd be hesitant about eating it. I wouldn't know what anything was, other than rice and raw fish, and I'd be worried about eating something I found unpleasant. I'd much rather try something for the first time on my own.

  6. I used to watch this show without fail. Then I stopped watching but kept following along here. This year I completely forgot about it until just now. And I'm okay with that. It just isn't what it used to be.
