Are you sure that this entire week is preempted? There's a new show on right now.
-
The View can't handle having more than one guest. They only give them five minutes to talk.
-
Not wanting to leave a bad date because you might end up on someone's purge list....we saw it done last season, but damn. Incels would love that

To be fair, I don't think Abby or Meghan had to write a resume like regular people. They had the gift of using their last name to get their foot in the door. Here's a funny story to show how the job market has changed. I knew the manager of a store. Even though I knew them, I had to apply online. Once I did, I had to also fill out a 30 minute questionnaire (again, this is a job like wal mart) and I somehow failed the questionnaire. (the manager friend just laughed and said that the test messes a lot of people up and I should try again in 180 days lol) It didn't matter that I knew the manager or had a resume at hand, the job market changed.

1981-1996 are millenials, which means that the oldest ones are nearing their 40s. Gen Z are the group that comes after. (1997-2012)
-
I can see that, but millenials get a lot of crap too. Participation awards (which weren't implemented by us) or tide pods (which were gen-zers). A lot of people blame millenials for random things and not knowing enough. I guess some (along with gen-z) just got annoyed and started the hashtag as a pushback. People shouldn't be bashing any generation, but the topic about resumes on today's show wasn't even that much of a bash. The job market has changed and companies don't want paper resumes. Just because you're applying online doesn't mean you're not knocking on doors or trying to gr8 yourself out there.
-
Certain companies don't want you to drop in a paper resume. They only accept online applications. The world is changing and that was one of the biggest changes. Abby and Meghan are millennials, but their experience is vastly different from the rest of us. Their last name helped them. so The ok boomer trend doesn't really affect them. Considering how everyone likes to bash on millenials and gen z, I don't see the problem with people saying "ok boomer."

S02.E02: Things to Do in Seattle When You're Dead
MeThinkMeNot replied to Lady Calypso's topic in Charmed (2018)
It's actually been doing well with ratings. Episode two had an increase of viewers compared to episode one. It's also on CW, so they do things differently there. With Supernatural ending this season, the CW will probably keep the show running for a bit. -
S02.E05: The Truth About Kats and Dogs
MeThinkMeNot replied to Lady Calypso's topic in Charmed (2018)
Harry is part of the crew and his history is giving us some much needed lore. We've had episodes about him before too, so I don't see the problem. -
S02.E05: The Truth About Kats and Dogs
MeThinkMeNot replied to Lady Calypso's topic in Charmed (2018)
I enjoyed the episode, but now I have more questions. Dark Harry is ambitious, adulterous, and a bit of a douchecanoe. But who unsealed his bottle? It had to be someone powerful enough to kill those mouthless assassins but also know that Harry's dark side would be unthethered to the Elders. But who? Also, it's clear that Abigail wanted something in Harry's mind outside of Macy. Once she got it, she bounced but where to? I don't think she'll go after the Charmed Ones for now, but I'm curious to see what her plans are. Poppy, like Madeline, seems to have great chemistry with everyone. Abigail and Macy make the better team, so hopefully we get to see the two of them interact again. I'm glad she ended up joining the cast as a series regular. She's been a great addition to the group. Marisol haunting Kat is unexpected and it makes me sad for the shopkeeper even though Marisol ended up helping out in the end. I also did like Mel and Maggie's plot a lot. Despite the lack of Macy, I think this might be my favourite episode of the season thus far. And Mel's fanny pack of potions will never not be amusing. Even if she gets her powers back, I hope she continues to carry it around with her. Who knew that a lack of powers could make Mel more interesting. She's really shining this season and I for one welcome it. -
It makes sense that crimes outside or purge are on the rise. The NFFA want to make it seem like the Purge helps reduce crime, so for it to not be the case would be bad for them. Especially since they use the Purge to take out poorer communities and people they don't like. There are cameras everywhere so they probably know who the serial killers are and use professionals to take them out on Purge night. Ben is 100% going to try to kill his girlfriend. She's going to look at him wrong and attack her.

For 5000 episodes, I feel like they should have brought the old cohosts to the table and actually celebrated the big day. Instead it was a screamfest with Don Jr and his gf. Seems a bit disappointing considering the occasion.

I think they mentioned that her aunt(?) passed away last night, so that's why she's on the verge of tears and has been quiet for most of this. I know it's a big day on the View, but I think it would have been better if she took the day off.

Abby went in on Don Jr and while it was amazing, there are some Trump fans in the audience and they booed her when she asked her questions and asked for clarification.

She hasn't really spoken at all today, has she? Also, Abby is not letting Don Jr off the hook.

Whoopi's love of Yang's UBI is ridiculous. Asking every candidate whether they'll adopt his platform is stupid. Yang's plan isn't even viable and has issues but Whoopi just wants her money so it doesn't matter.

I wanted Abby to finish her point about the person Meghan said is running a horrible campaign. Abby was trying to show that she's informed and said Mitch should be scared especially since the person running against him- Then Meghan cut her off to basically say that she's wrong. That seems to happen a lot now. Whether Tulsi is being used or not doesn't matter since she won't win and is polling low, but I don't disagree with her comments that Hillary did campaign for regime changes that did destroy a lot of people's lives. I don't like Tulsi (she's too conservative and has some really horrible policy ideas and views like supporting Modi and what not), but she's not wrong with this point.

She was her normal self during hot topics, but during the discussion with Jane Fonda she was the best one on the panel.
-
I wasn't surprised with Meghan not being at the table when Jane Fonda was there, I was surprised with Sunny not being there because I think she would have helped the discussion. It was a mess. While I don't agree with Abby, I do like that she tried to provide another side. She didn't do a good job and came off as more apathetic to the entire thing. (She's for climate change, but doesn't think the government will do anything about it.) It did help Jane explain why we need to protest, because nothing is being done. I was disappointed by Joy though. I normally like her, but I thought she was the worst one in this discussion. Bringing up Biden again and going on a rant during an interview. Whoopi was the only one who seemed coherent. As for the black people topic....I wish the View would talk more about gerrymandering and suppression of black voters, instead of just putting all of the pressure on black folk to save everyone. We're not the only ones in the country and while the majority do tend to vote Democrat, it won't matter if everyone else does their part.

I guess in order to create Whitelighters, the Elders had to remove their darkness (along with wiping their memory)so that they'd be loyal. But the darklighters that come from this process are unhinged, so the Elders probably locked them away. This is my assumption based on what we've heard this far. It would make sense that this sort of thing would happen. The Elders were witches and not all-knowing. Was this caused by using magic for personal gain? Having a balance between good and evil? I don't know, but I'm excited to find out. Harry's darklighter is doing his own thing as he captures the heads of all of the magical creatures. We don't know why he's doing this though. As for the demons, they probably know that the Elders are all dead (Hunter probably blabbed to everyone he knows about doing this) and the Charmed Ones are missing. So they are using this to their advantage and trying to gain more control and power in the magical world. Abigail is trying to become the Overlord so she can prove that she was always the better Caine kid. As for her plans, who knows at this point. She was raised by a witch, but she clearly sought out approval from her demon father.
-
I liked the episode and I'm happy that we're getting more info about whitelighters and darklighters. Hunter was great, Parker was tolerable but Abigail is fun and has excellent chemistry with everyone. Now that Poppy's a series regular I'm excited to see what they do with her character. I feel bad for Harry though. He looks so lost and sad this episode.

It makes complete sense that the judges and laws are crazy in this world. If there's a night where you could kill and do whatever one night a year, then police are going to clamp down even harder on crime since everyone should know better. It also opens the door to even more dirty cops. I think the wife is probably responsible. She gave the doctor guy the slip and he bought it. Ben...with the way things are going he will probably purge a lot more people before purge night. I don't see him attacking the friend who left him, but I'm worried about the girlfriend. It really does seem like the next purge will have him killing her while wear the God mask. Just like it's former owner did. (I'm assuming the girl was someone he knew) Or, the girlfriend is going to kill herself since it was foreshadowed that she looked like one of the girls on the bridge. Maybe Ben goes crazy before purge and she decided to end it all.

I don't disagree, but on that point she was trying to say that his martial status shouldn't matter and no one should care about it. So I think her 'i don't care' was to contrast those that do and would take issue with Booker as President.
-
To be fair to Meghan, she was saying that she doesn't care about Cory Booker being single and running for president. Sunny was saying he's be the first and Meghan was making the point that it shouldn't matter and she doesn't care so no else should.
-
I don't think Cory Booker has any chance to win, but I liked how he handled Meghan. He corrected her behaviour and explained his position with Sunny backing him by saying, "law abiding citizens will listen." meaning everyone who doesn't is showing their asses. As for the Beto thing, I may be remembering it wrong but didn't Meghan start bashing him first and he just responded to her? So she technically started it.
