  1. There does not seem to be a forum for "Family Pictures USA" on PBS. I saw and enjoyed the first episode, North Carolina. The host talks with people who show family photos (some quite old), talk about their ancestors, and show where they lived and worked.
  2. Andy -- if you don't want to look like a Ukranian arms dealer, either shave or grow a beard.
  3. You made me wonder if a Russian tortoise can swim. According to the vast wisdom of the interweb, he cannot. So if Clyde was out there, I hope he found a safe place from which to direct the maneuvers.
  4. Two opposite poles of magnets (north and south) attract, not repel. Did anyone else expect that they would do a DNA test to ID Moreland's body, and it wouldn't match Sherlock? Then Sherlock could wonder if the body wasn't Moreland, or if Moreland wasn't his father. Altamont was an alias that ACD Sherlock Holmes used in "His Last Bow."
  5. So would I. Maybe she is running some organization and the government needs to consult her.
  6. Looking back ... why did they call this show Instinct, when it is based on Dylan's knowledge? Also why do they spell INSTINCT with the second N backwards? Sounds as if they are imagining a semiliterate person guessing that what Dylan says is based on instinct, not knowledge.
  7. Neuroscientist Jim Fallon's TED talk Exploring the mind of a killer reminded me of Dylan.
  8. Moreland might have a body double, or access to a corpse that could be identified as him.
  9. Thoughtful of you, but no, thanks. I don't have a lot of time for TV anyway. If I want to see next season, my library will eventually get the DVDs.
  10. Congratulations, everyone! Especially Biakbiak, Toothbrush, and Saber.
  11. On Sundays I'm already trying to follow two shows at once (no recorder) so a third is out of the question. I might catch The Rookie if ABC airs reruns or if CBS gets delayed a lot by sports.
  12. Stations in different places may change frequencies on different days. https://www.tvanswers.org/ is useful.
  13. When I miss an episode I can usually watch it the next day on the CBS web site, free.
  14. Thank you for doing this, Saber5055! I would wag my tail if I had one.
  15. Nor had I, so I looked it up. It is also called discorectangle.
  16. Nope. No Talia Bishop in season 2? That's sad, she was about my favorite. Although I enjoy the show, I was disappointed when I heard that it had been renewed, because I'd prefer to see Nathan Fillion and Afton Williamson in better shows.
  17. "The Adventure of the Devil’s Foot" is an ACD Sherlock Holmes story quite similar to what they described at the beginning of the episode.
  18. Has anyone else played the Big Bang Theory version of "Clue"? The rooms are in S&L's and Penny's apartments, and the suspects are the main characters except Sheldon. Instead of a murder, the mystery is who did what nasty thing to Sheldon: stain his couch cushion, erase his whiteboard, etc. So instead of weapons there are a little couch, whiteboard, etc. It is slightly more fun than regular "Clue."
  19. I didn't like Alicia in TGW so TGF has that advantage. I hoped Kalinda would come back. What happened to her, something about having to leave Chicago? I have seen only the TGF episodes that have aired on CBS so far.
  20. Ellis Island officials did not. Smithsonian article.
  21. Many public libraries have these series on DVD.
