  1. I didn't start coloring my hair at all until mid 40's...started getting too dark....I've been a copper blond most of my life. Would never go VK/Lily/Judy blond
  2. too blond can really wash some women's complexions out. And as they get older it makes them look older
  3. I agree VK would be better a darker blond with a few highlights around her face....when some go too blond they look they are trying to hard...
  4. I'm on the West Coast, so can't live chat, but I will follow along, so when I get to see the show I can zero in on where the conversations are coming from. Makes for a more interesting show. I still have my own opinions, but it's fun to see what everyone else sees or things I may have missed.
  5. Not when it comes to who they put on the field....Kelli has palpitations over wiggly lines on the field, so someone who would throw off the field presentation will not make the team. They may keep her to the bitter end (not particularly fair to other TCC #brennan), but if aren't 'coachable' #50yardkelsey...not gonna happen
  6. Love her, hate her or tolerate her...her recovery was absolutely brilliant! Last year Jaylen fell during SG audition, recovered in a similar way and made it into Show Group...it's not about the error, it's about the recovery. VK gets preferential treatment...we have to take that with a 'grain'...however, if she doesn't meet the standard she will not make the team. Kelli & Judy will not compromise the team for anyone, including a legacy. And if she needs technical help, Kitty will be on her ass 24/7 with no means of escape. And Gabby was late to the panel interviews, Kelli's biggest pet peeve. She wasn't taken into camp this year. Apparently the freeway was shut down for over an hour due to a major accident. Gabby & several other hopefuls were caught behind it.
  7. It's not, however, it's a showstopper up close. There was another that I actually saw a bride try on that I'd seen on the show several times. Also a showstopper...she was trying to decide between two dresses and asked me what I thought....for her evening wedding the one I'd seen on several brides was perfect on her...and she chose it.
  8. VK does struggle with connecting with others. I think she means well, but has never had to be the 'wannabe' position so doesn't know how to form healthy relationships. I get along well with most people, but don't form real friendships easily. The 'clique-y' people usually annoy me more than make me want to be one of them.
  9. Oh and I figured out the skipped numbers and inflated number of hopefuls...There are several check in stations...who probably have a specific set of sequential numbers (1-75, 76-150, etc)...so there will be left over numbers at each station...they may have had numbers available for 400 but only 175 showed, so if Victoria checked in at Station 4, she got a high number (300+) but maybe only 50 people checked in there starting with #301.
  10. Lily didn't look like she was into the process...her 'dead' invitation to VK sounded more like a very tired person who wasn't into being filmed at all... Still not a fan of Kristen. We'll see if she can get her attitude together to look at the audience instead of 'flirting with the floor', which is a very self involved thing to do...that tucked chin looking up is supposed to make her look sweetly innocent, just makes her look childish & selfish. This is the time for Kelli's daughter to explore options...My daughter changed her college major FIVE times before deciding on one that actually liked her back. She's another who is interested in everything. As a 10yo she wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon, in college she looked at geophysics & seismology (she's a natural disaster girl), sociology, biology, culinary arts before finding out business liked her back...got a real estate license & went into commercial property management...#alwaysmovingforward. Sam should be just fine...
  11. Pnina's old 'budget friendly' line was "Pearla D"...and had some very nice gowns. But some of those brides have much more money than common sense. I can put an entire very nice wedding on for $12k and not skimp. A few years ago when in Atlanta I stopped by "Bridals By Lori" just to look around...and seeing this Lazaro up close & personal...it's stunning in person.
  12. The Pnina suited Samantha perfectly. HOWEVER....$12k? No.... Cristina's blush Lazaro was stunning...totally perfect for her. I love Lazaro anyway... The styling of the Hayley Paige I thought was odd...and in any other setting other than Ireland, Scotland or Wales it would look out of place. The gown was gorgeous.
  13. Phil said the weather was bad....
  14. The last number on the board was in the 320s, so at least that many showed...smaller than last season with over 400...
  15. Not thrilled with the new opening...don't care for Cassadee Pope on a regular day. Loved Kelli's shoes, thought her dress was too long...I'm considerably older than she is and my dresses hit mid knee...loved Judy's blue dress...Neal McCoy is always a blast. Ah Victoria...she'll be fine. Malena doesn't stand a chance and it shows. Chandi stood out for me. So so on Amanda. Loved Kenya even though she wasn't going to make it. Not a Meredith fan...not a Kristen fan either...didn't like her last year. Onward to Week 2
  16. I always notice people's teeth...that guy would be a dental school's dream...the costs at a dental school (every state has at least one) is very low...the fellows in reconstructive dentistry could use him as their certification boards patient....then it's usually free.
  17. But the sister is all up in it, so she'll be pushing him to get on board. And he'll be happy that he did.
  18. Some of those medications require frequent follow-up and have a long list of side effects. And getting in to see a new doctor can take months. It becomes a liability issue for Dr. Lee if she's prescribed something that causes adverse reactions to someone and they can't get immediate follow-up care. I'm suspecting the brother is more than a bit afraid of the new process. You actually can get comfortable with 'they can't do anything for me, poor me'....
  19. I remember that guy....went from hermitized mountain man to uptown hottie
  20. She may just mature out of some of this behavior. And having it shoved in your face on reruns can cause unintended self reflection. We'll see as the season progresses.
  21. Shirley's curls were manufactured....her mom did her up in pin curls every night.
  22. I have a nephew who is afraid of everything and he's 30 years old yet remarkably immature. "The doctor left a message, did you call her back?" "NO". "Why not?" "I'm afraid they want to tell me something bad" Turns out she was just checking on him for CPAP machine stuff...Fear makes you not act your best interest or makes you deny your part in whatever the problem might be. Fear is very common in the immature. The more stuff you face, the less fear you have. VK got to act her's out on a national platform with millions of people watching. If she's matured at all and looked back on last season, she should be mortified and do whatever it takes to put all that in the rear view. We'll see.
  23. Just from this photo she looks more poised & in control. That's what a year can do...we got her fresh out of high school last year. Whether she went to college or worked or both she's a year older and should have matured some. Yes, nepotism. It exists. And she was given considerable leeway not available to others. However, she has to meet the criteria to make the team. If she can't cut it, no amount of promises will get her on that field. If she makes the team then struggles with her weight to the point it's obvious she'll be benched or released #nopinkyringforyou. They won't compromise the team for her.
  24. This is from semi-finals....love her or hate her, but if you didn't know, you'd think this was a DCC...she look fabulous.
  25. I'm wildly wavy rather than defined curls, but still need to keep it under some control or I look like bush woman....John Frida's curl creme works well for me...I saw an episode of "What Not To Wear" dealing with the frizz....both Nick Arrojo & Ted Gibson did wonders with curly hair....use a comb, not a brush, twist individual curls, let dry & finger comb....looked great when they did it...seems like it would work. As for alumni, don't you have to complete the football season before getting a pinky ring?
