We live their dreams with them then see them get torn down/cut for less than Kat's mistakes or Veruca or even Meredith (who shouldn't have made it) I think of sweet Kali Fullerton or Auto Amy or Taylor (not gumby) or Meghan (THUT---hate that term just for reference) or Viviane or Chandler or Kyndal or the beautiful girl who was the Special Ed teacher (sorry her name is escaping me) or Tara & now Hannah... so many ladies that are far superior in dance and smarts to Kat or Veruca yet here we are...
That would be Alexandra.

When Meredith gets it right, you just feel relieved she didn't mess up. But I wouldn't say she stands out in a group of dancers.
Lily and Brennan unfortunately are not the strongest dancers in the group - clean but blenders. And as someone mentioned above, it really does sound like Lily is on the verge of tears whenever she speaks. I just think they were outdanced by prettier blonde rookies - Dani and Jessica are both stunning. I always notice them in the groups when they are dancing, and it's pretty amazing considering half the time they are wearing masks and you can still see their beauty.
So far, this hasn't been my favorite season to watch (it seems very one-note because it's 8 episodes of dancing in a hotel conference room), but bigger picture I'm excited by the group of Rookies. They have amazing, exciting dancers (Amanda, Ashlee, Kelcey, Chandi, Caroline, Amber, Armani, Darian) and also some of the prettiest girls in a while (Rachel W, Kat, Darian, Dani, Jessica). Especially after two seasons of such "Meh" leaders and points (Amy, Maddie, Tess, snooze city).
I am also #TeamKat, all the way. I think Kat is fun and has glamour. Airhead or not. Kat decided long time ago that she had 2 choices: trying to be someone else and sound smart but boring, or being Kat and being fun. She chose to be Kat, who was convinced that the Dallas Cowboys were going to the Super Bowl because the Super Bowl was on her birthday.
Talking about airheads, I don't think the DCC had many philosophers on the team.

I completely agree with you. I also wasn't devastated or completely shocked that she was cut. Brennan might be popular on these forums for very good reasons, she just didn't match up to a lot of the girls, look wise.
The question is/was: how can someone find themselves on the team and after a couple of seasons out of the team for no reason? I think asking the question is also answering it: Waco Kelli

What I also loved was that Amanda was talking to Dani. That was a wonderful moment for me. What a dream team they are. That is what every DCC group should inspire. I felt the same with Ashlee and Armani practicing. Epic and awesome. Awe inspiring.

If this years triangle analysis is correct, Amanda is almost guaranteed a leadership position since she jumped 4 rows. Chandi jumped 2 rows and I'm hoping she'll be a leader as well. Every other 2019 rookie jumped only 1 row... except for 1 person. who didn't jump any rows at all. Guess who that is. 🙂
It's not an exact science and I've only done the last few years, but if anyone's interested, I could share it.Please do share.

I agree. VK is coming.
In my humble opinion the point girl MUST be photogenic, so my first list is a reflection of this. What my list also illustrated (I hope) is that the rookies generated a big influx of glamour girls.
If we account for East Texas bad decision making, the real list is a list of potentials, girls that are still in the running towards becoming a point girl.
Caroline Sundvold was almost getting there, but Rachel Wyatt's ascension to point diminished her chances considerable, unless, Rachel Wyatt indicated she would be leaving the team next year. Then Caroline is still a big candidate for next year.
If we include VK in this discussion, we must take into consideration that her impending inherited point position could only be outlived by Armani, Claire, Dani, Elli, Jessica or McKenzie.
VK's point position would bring an end to my big dream: Amanda as point. ROTY Kelcey would also be leaving the team without fulfilling her potential if VK does what she is being set up for. I am almost tempted into shifting all of my hopes and dreams towards Dani McGinnis from Puyallup, WA., who is really fabulous.

as for politely demoted: I kinda feel it happened to Maddie going from point 2 to point 1, which is a lot shorter and less spectacular (my opinion)dance-wise.
Insane to have 2 point girls whom have never been and never will be point girl material. Incredible bad decision making, blending and/or ignoring objectives and validating irrational motives.

Not like she wore exercise shorts and a Nike tank top, which is what I would wear to move a bunch of stuff in the summer heat!
Let's conclude that Brennan is not perfect.

Yes, others wore jeans. But that is not the point. The point is the whole ensemble.
I don’t think it mattered and it didn’t make Brennan’s position worse, but it should be clear to everyone that her outfit was just indefensible.

You are right that something that Kelli classifies as class, intimidates her.
I do not think that Brennan wearing a trailer park outfit or wearing a wonderful Alaïa dress would have influenced the outcome of her being cut. Brennan was not liked by Kelli and was kept on the team to be cut at any moment. Brennan's intelligence, maturity, wit and social responsibility were inconsequential.
Kelli cut Brennan in 2020 for the same reason why she cut Brennan twice in the past. Kelli makes emotional decisions and goes wherever that emotion leads her. Ladies with intelligence do not last on the DCC for this reason.
Kelli says in last nights episode: "I was sleepless at night, trying to figure out a way to make this audition happen. I felt like I would have failed to some degree, if I couldn't have provided this opportunity for you all and for these rookie candidates"
She is 'sleepless', and she would have 'felt like failing', all emotional drivers for her decisions.
Kelli is not very good at thinking things through because why would the veterans want to be provided an opportunity to audition? That only helps Kelli and her pursuit of fame, not the veterans!

Doesn't Kelli have a phone glued to her hand, using it to record East Texas feedback? Why should Judy text Hailey? Maybe I am blowing this out of proportion but I see it as a horrible power trip. When Kelli asks Judy to text Hailey, Kelli is not involved in anything, she just waits for Judy to text, she just sits there.

I liked the first episode because one could see the different teams in wide shots and close shots, which enabled me to really see the TCC's dance and compare them. I missed this in this episode where wanted more dancing with a clear overview like last episode. Now they cut throught the teams to show the dancing and it was hard to compare.

I'm continually shocked at how thick Sydney is—have you ever seen an ass like that on this show? Holy crap. They must really love her Pro Bowl past; I can't see her being picked for this otherwise, based on their weight standards. It was funny they had to keep telling Jada to speed up—her limbs are so long it takes her extra time to move. Have you ever seen legs that long? My god.

McKenzie is so cute! Shannan and Tori and Jessica are just BORING. In looks and dance. Talk about filler.
I have a soft spot for Sheridan for some reason. Kelli seemed SO uninterested in talking to her during uniform fittings. Ugh.
So there are 29 returning vets and 20 rookies in TC? That seems like more than usual...
Amelia is really Wonder Woman. So pretty. Top 20 of all time. I think that Dani is also very special. A certified powerhouse. I also liked McKenzie. She is such a great dancer. Elli and Armani are also so strong. Just like Claire. All point girl potential.

I think that a lot of people have the same opinion as your husband. This doesn't mean that Marissa, bless her heart, is not liked, the point is that she doesn't have the DCC look.
In a normal setting (not TCC) Marissa would be a normal girl, and it would be ridiculous to judge her on her appearance. However, Marissa signed up for TCC and entered an arena populated by extraordinary girls who have a certain level looks wise. Marissa doesn't cut it in the looks department.
In normal life I am not dumb but If I were to enter a high IQ club, I would be entering an arena where intelligence is a prerequisite and I would fail. People would call me dumb. With my intelligence, I would never want to join a high IQ club, Marissa clearly has a different idea on how she looks like.

I get what you're saying & this is a super cute pic of her. Her figure has always been great.. I just think she looks sad and sleepy sometimes when she dances. Everyone finds different features attractive. Beauty is super subjective.
I get also what you are saying about Kristin’s demeanor. She sometimes looks disconnected. She is definitely not a KaShara!

Kristin may not the best dancer and she might not have an extrovert personality but Kristin is drop dead gorgeous and curvy. She could be in Charlie’s Angels!
Kristin has the DCC look, perhaps more than anyone on the team!

This picture is much better. I can see the back rows better and I see that my favorite TCC, Dani McGinnis (#TeamDani) has gotten noticed and she is now more in front than any other rookie. I really hope she can fulfill her potential in the future. I can say the same about Armani Latimer, Darian Lassiter, Elli DiGiovanni, Jada McLean, Claire Wolford and yes McKenzie Sherman, who are all Gina Ligi level dancers who can be point. Compared to the points we had last year, they align much better with the great points of the past, dance but also look wise.
We have a very strong rookie class, and it is not strange to see the weaker vets being cut. Weaker, because they are lesser dancers or because they are less attractive. If I had been in Kelli's shoes I would not have compromised on the dancing or the look I really wanted, with a bigger emphasis on the looks. Instead, Kelli made irrational decisions and put girls on the team she never really was happy about, creating a B-team, a second rate DCC, who could be cut whenever the opportunity rose. This is not how to you treat people, or how you would want to be treated. Not in Dallas or in East Texas.
Bless her heart Marissa got a raw deal with her hair. Her curls made her look more in proportion. I think that out of all the TCC's Marissa was the most polished (and Alora Rose the least) and this was for a reason. Marissa needs to be polished. Other girls, like Alora Rosa are beauties without any polish. Changing a hair setup that has been worked on for so long is just not best practice. It will not keep Marissa down though. She is invincible!

- Will she faint when she finally gets some facetime with Kelli?
- Will she get 'inside her head'?
- How will Kitty Carter kick her behind?
I can't wait to find out!
P.S. Marissa looks like Miranda Lambert as much as a Pauly Shore looks like Albert Einstein
