Let me preface my comment with my age… 75 years young. To me NuMichael resembles a young Richard Chamberlain, especially in profile.

In the midst of the finale I’ve come to the conclusion the judges should always pick the songs. I’ve been more impressed with Jamal and Brianna tonight than I’ve ever been.

Regarding thoughts on John… I perceive him as a gentleman. “Man” might be pushing it, as really 18 year old boys are still “men in the making”. I know I’d certainly be proud to call him my grandson. He exudes southern manners and is respectful at all times. That’s part of his appeal. That and his confidence. I would appreciate his voice and his clear enunciation without watching him. But add in his visible charisma and he’s outstanding. He’s the same when he’s singing and when he’s talking. I appreciate Jamal’s vocals but his “more is more” wears me out. I think if he was more controlled he’d be perceived as a front runner. His tone and range are ridiculously good! But after one song, I’m exhausted. I can’t imagine a whole concert or album. Also in my humble opinion when his song is over and Ryan interviews, Jamal looks like a robot, or a deer in the headlights. It’s like two personalities. I believe John jumps ahead of Jamal based on these thoughts. Breanna is good but just not my cup of tea. (Another who need to learn less is more.) These are just my opinions and certainly not representative of the majority of viewers. I believe any of these three would be better “winners” than some previous seasons.

I know I’m the older demographic, so many songs I’m not familiar with the lyrics. I find myself straining to understand the words (especially with Maddie) instead of concentrating on the actual voice. Obviously the judges know the words but I wonder how many people are like me. The screaming of unintelligible words is truly painful. When I understand the song, I’m much more objective about voice quality. Regarding Josh last night, I saw an introvert try to be an extrovert and it was bad😖. He was ready to go and I was beyond ready to say goodbye. Actually I believe Maddie should have gone with him. I’ll close on a positive note. Thank God Katy is gone and Carrie replaced her. Carrie is the exact opposite of Katy so if that’s what TPTB were going for, they nailed it. I feel the contestants have been in the spotlight that Katy demanded always be on HER. (Of course at double Lionel and Luke’s $alaries, she felt she was the star.) Hopefully a lesson was learned at the audience’s expense. All in all this season has been one of the better ones in quite a few years. I have my favorites but I don’t think I’ll be disappointed in any outcome.

Why, why, why is the sound so bad??? Grrr! 😡

John Foster has a certain je ne sais quoi that Laine lacks. That’s just my opinion. Because of that I’ve grown to appreciate his voice. WGWG is not usually what I “get”. I’m a musician so I normally am attracted to more cultured voices with range. This season has some greats but they are over complicating their delivery. Carrie tries to tell them. Runs need to be sparse and enunciation need to be constant.

We will agree to disagree. ❤️ But I believe in the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20) and live my life very much trying to encourage people to believe as I do. I hope your resurrection Sunday is blessed. 🙏🏻

Does anyone question other theme shows, or just “faith based”? I see no difference in this than theme shows featuring questionable lyrics (to me at least) about drinking, smoking, drugs, cursing, cheating, etc. Either way, we all have the right to vote with the remote. (You know… turn it off. 😉)

MKY has too much sleaze factor for his young age. He needs to find a lounge and sing to old women.

No one ever wants to see Gerry on anything. Why don’t TPTB realize his 15 minutes of fame wasn’t “all that” and it’s O.V.E.R. He makes my skin crawl. 🥴

After watching grown men with actual vocabularies, I’m not excited to watch The Bachelor or ‘ettes anymore.🤔 Maturity is much more entertaining.
