Night 2: Gypsy describing the murder and the planning is chilling. Her presence in the house and the planning are likely why she got 10 years. At least she’s sorry about it and says they shouldn’t have done it. Nick is a definite psychopath, especially in wanting to rape Dee, and Gypsy should have dumped him early on. He definitely deserved life in prison

Boy her first boyfriend Nick was something else, basically sounded like a psycho

Fortunately the stepmom seems to still support her since Dee’s murder. I laughed a bit when her response to learning Gypsy shot at her mom with Dee’s gun was “Good for her”

From Part 1: Doctors and social workers definitely failed Gypsy. At least the pediatrician tried by calling DFS and asking Gypsy if she wanted to tell him anything, or at least says he did though Gypsy denies this, and admits he failed her. The neurologist didn’t even try to report his suspicions

Wow, she accuses her grandpa of sexually abusing her when she was a child and then the grandpa tells the producers she was the one touching him. Given all the lies from Dee Dee and Gypsy over the years, who knows what the truth is here?

Just from the first 30 minutes, it’s clear this was a horrific case of prolonged abuse. I’m torn on how to feel about Gypsy. Murder is wrong but at the same time Gypsy was being horrifically abused by her mom and felt she was isolated and had no one to turn to in order to get out of the situation except for the boyfriend who ultimately killed Dee Dee. So I definitely have sympathy for Gypsy but I also wonder if she’s wanting a lot of attention and possibly lying to shade some things I believe I only became aware of this case when Gypsy was arrested Man, these accents that her family members have. Possibly Cajun?

Good. The guy has usually been a dick as a host on this show and as a producer on Idol, usually with his homophobia showing but he’s also come across as a lech on this show

The production company is investigating the sexual assault claims against Lythgoe https://deadline.com/2024/01/nigel-lythgoe-investigation-so-you-think-you-can-dance-sexual-assault-lawsuits-1235694777/ Just what this show doesn’t need. I wonder if they’ll suspend Lythgoe while they investigate?

Episode 1: The Sorority Sister’s voice was so weirdly deep I wondered if she was transgender and not admitting to it. But she indicated that’s just how her voice was and had learned to accept it The panel seems to keep forgetting that in the lip sync showdown, the singers are lip syncing

Yeah, I think I meant to say that instead of agreeing that they were trying to make him look taller

Some of the dialogue sounds like it’s part of a stage play, it doesn’t feel natural. And who writes a constitution to make rules and treats it as such with all kinds of procedures? Jon Cryer’s character comes off the worst, as someone way too fussy and high strung. I know the idea of keeping the kids in the same house while the parents switch actually exists, but given this couple does not get along and makes things harder than they need to be, it would be better to have separate houses, but then there wouldn’t be a show

Tonight’s episode was a little better than the premiere but it’s still pretty annoying

I was a programmer too, for the Federal Government. We fixed our issues a few years before Y2K and then I watched the stupidity of the media worrying on the eve of 2000 about what could happen because they forgot to ask the tech people how they fixed things. And of course the preppers went berserk. This was a reminder of the clueless stupidity of people expecting a meltdown when the problem had been fixed a few years before because people did end up taking the problem seriously. At least the program covered the opinion that right wingers were trying to profit from the fear (nothing changes right?)
