Loved it! Reminded me of the best episode on 1990s FLASH where Barry was sent to the future. This was just amazing and I loved meeting the doubles. And I had to rewind 3 times to thrill out over Super girl!

S31.E14: Lie, Cheat, And Steal / S31.E15: Live Reunion
North of Eden replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Survivor
I don't see how Kimmi could have beaten either of them....especially not Spencer...take Jeremy out of that final tribal and substitute him with Kimmie and there is no way. She was invisiable for 90% of the game and when she finally made a move it exploded in her face. -

So there isn't even a pretense of trying to talk to everyone...Probst dismisses it outright...but the half hour he spent fellating Joe could have been used to get a soundbite from everyone...hell the villain of the season Abi very nearly got skipped over. Didn't need to meet Terry's family....I wanted to see Savage's supermodel wife to see if she lived up to the hype. Can't believe Spencer and Tanya couldn't at least get ONE vote each. Next season preview: Don't bring Caleb back unless you bring the Vanessa Williams look alike that he was in love with on an opposing team...that would make an interesting dynamic. -
Ahhh Justin...a tool to the bitter end. Cheaping out and sending his cab away....then annoying Logan and Chris's cabblie so much that he LEFT them and above all else interrupting Phil ON THE MAT! Super Douche! Diana had a positive attitude about losing but not Justin...now way...all tears saying everything they had won over the race was still not enough...in his mind HE was the only one entitled to win the Million dollars. Joey and Kelsey are vanilla boring but I can live with their win because it kept it out of Justin's hands. Production must have not liked Logan and and Chris to make them put together all six of those chairs when it was all moot. And that sure did look like Victoria Grayson's house at the end there. All and all an okay ending...props to the reporters for not taking a swing at Justin's head with a hammer when he was being obnoxious during the chair building.

I am sighing with relief that Tasha was not voted out. If she had then it would have been for me anyway the two worst outcomes of back to back CBS reality that i can remember what with a certain Super Douche mircuously surviving one of the longest ever time penalties over on the TAR in its last episode. Thank you Spencer for doing the honorable thing (at least for now) and trying to win the game not by going up against hapless goats. You know I never liked nasty spitting Keith on his season and still don't like him now...he's very off putting and I can think of a dozen other SURVIVORS that should have gotten his spot (I'm probably the only one but god I would love to see Flicka play again). It's going to be unfortunate for Spencer, Keith, Kimmie and Tasha....that what ever there plans are Jeremey and Kelly's idols are sure to wreck them...maybe there should have only been two idols in the whole game because its seems unfair to have idol play this late in the game. Anyone else feel like Abi Maria's boot was well....anti-climatic? For one things she didn't really do anything villianous (despite her claiming to be one) this episode...or even off the wall crazy. As far a blindsides go on a scale of one to ten with ten being the highest in th excitement department...that was a solid one in excitement. Interestlingly tongiht I found a copy of ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY with the fall preview and was amused that the write up made a big deal about Kelly Wigglesworth returning...and that proved to be an epic misfire. if they must try again next season with another gimmick...its high time to bring back the most memorable people to be the first boots of a season and let them try again.

S27.E11: It's Not Easy Beating Green
North of Eden replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Amazing Race
WHY!WHY!WHY! Does every thing have to go Justin's way?! This WOULD have been the best episode ever if Green Team had been sent home by their own undoing. I had my fingers crosseed hoping the girls would arrive. It was so great to see Justin stop all his idiotic hooting and hollering when they were behind. In episode one I felt sorry for him when he was crying but that was before I knew he was a Super Douche. This episode I was laughing when he was crying and I laughed every time the banner came up saying JUSTIN AND DIANA CURRENTLY IN LAST PLACE. The season can still be salvaged if Justin comes in third....because I think that would bother him for the rest of his life...and I hope its because of another screw up on his behalf. -
But Spencer didnt tell Tasha about thr Fishback blindside.

A few words on the family visitors. Tasha got the better of the DNA in her family. I had to chuckle how excited Kelly was about Dale...it seems back in her season she was always blaming him for her defeat in the game. I guess we are suppose to forget all that ever happened. I wonder if Dale and Val had good time sharing memories on the plane. Interesting that initially when Spencer declared his love....Marcella didn't automatically return the same. I thought for sure Dale's dimwitt chicken wing lovin' son was going to be brought out. Kimmie's dad either got caught in a rainstorm or his entire shirt was soaked in sweat. Joe's passing out....that was intense and Tasha especially seemed concerned. Nice the drama included seeing camera men on screen....very rare. Anyway it was his time to go...at least he knows his pop loves him now. God bless Abi and her cold dead heart as she throws shade on Joe even as she is voting him out. I would agree with anyone else puzzled by Keith's random vote for Tasha. Tasha has been my favorite but her game play tonight was very questionable. I don't think she should have revealed the potential girls alliance. Too risky...people kill the messanger all the time...or vote them out as you can't trust them. Editing fooled me for once...when Kimmie whose confessionals this season you can count on one hand had one at the top of the episode I was sure she was going.

I never in my life would have dreamed that a SINGLE racer could be more obnoixous than camera whores like hippies BJ and TYLER and the Afganimals...and yet there you have it....Justin who will not shut the F up for ONE SINGLE MINUTE...if he's not hooting and hollering he is dancing around in the streets like a damn fool. I just...can't...he is sooooooo agravating...please do not let him win the race. Any of the other racers I would gladly take. People probably hate the Paps...but I like them because they are REAL...Krista is a big fake...making all nice, nice at the end with the kids when during the time she was carrying the candelabras she was activelly telling people to get away from her and not in a nice way and I got the feeling there was an undertone that she thought she was a steak being eyed by hungry dogs...in other words the local male population...as if they might do something to her...in front of cameras no less. But I still like Tiffany...she just is likable and cool. All in all Justin has nearly ruined this season...the last really good season was the one with Jason and "Providence" Amy...I liked them a lot and I liked how they helped that other team...I forget their names now but they were the AA team that washed out of the race in the last episode when the husband could not hit the bullseye from the air. Now that was a great season. Even the season of the candy girls was yards better than this because there was no raging moron like Justin dominating the race and the screen time.

S27: Previews and Speculations (No Spoilers)
North of Eden replied to Whimsy's topic in The Amazing Race
If Justin is saved by a possible non-elimination leg next week there is a very real possibility I may destroy my tv set. -
I am so annoyed at Fishbach right now. I don't care that he was so stupid to blow up his own game by having an unprecedented two votes and he wastes one on Abi Maria instead of casting two for Joe...no I am mad that by picking Tasha for the reward he's managed to blow up Tasha's game. Previously (no pun intended) there was no spotlight really on her as a boot and thanks to her going she was the alternative boot. She's my favorite and I would want her to have a reward but its not worth being put out of the game for. She now lined up as surely the next boot and there are few options outside the IM necklace for her. Jeremy too kind of destroyed his own game by saving Steven because he's not down there with Tasha at the bottom AND he's toasted one of his idols. Also Wentworth isn't as smart as people think she is. If she were truly clever instead of waiting for Abi to leave all she had to do was "accidently" drop the pendant she wears around her neck through the bambo...it's not like Abi is the kind of person who would graciously volunteer to go under the shelter to look for it so there was the perfect excuse. I really, really wanted her to get caught red handed. Speaking of Abi Maria...Welcome back to the narrative! She's had almost no screen time since the dissolution of the Tasha.Savage.Abi tribe. And for anyone who thinks hair doesn't make a difference....when Abi finally let her hair down while talking with Steven in the surf....I was like "wow, where has this beautiful woman been?"...and then of course she puts it back up in the bun and she wasn't hot anymore. Keith meanwhile continues to be a waste of a spot and should never have been brought back...he's a slightly more animated version of cowboy Rick.

S27.E09: It's Always The Quiet Ones
North of Eden replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Amazing Race
For a while I was conflicted. I didn't know who I hated more Justin or myself for feeling sorry for him in episode one when he was crying. In the end though I decided on Justin as how could I know what a complete tool he would be in each subsequent episode. I cannot stand him grandstanding for the camera and constantly giggling like a SEVEN YEAR OLD GIRL. An annoying person like him shouldn't be anywhere near someone with a straight razor like at the end. I've concluded Logan must be a champ in the bedroom because why else would Chris willingly subject himself to a harpy incarnate. There's henpecking and then there is Logan....a shrew's shrew. Love the shot of the bee chasing Tiffany. It was so RANDOM...I mean random not seen on the level since the BB episode last summer where two women were dicussing Johnny Mac and the camera cuts away to him rising into the screen from the bottom like a whackamole. Speaking of Tiffany she is one of the most drop dead gorgeous racers ever. "He's catholic and I'm a christian" dear god how do these people have journalist credentials?! Hagoo anyone? Nice try editors but I wasn't fooled for a minute...I knew James Earl and Mama would recover in time to avoid elmination. -
Hell yes! In fact I haven't been able to bring myself to listen to this weeks podcast and that's the first time its ever happened because I am worried it will be a whole hour of Wigler "fluffing" Steven's game play. He's been so biased its sickening...and now that Steven and Probst are subtly pimping "the evolution of strategy" he's going to be sucking up to Steven even more. Rob has been a little more impartial but they are both in the tank for Steven and its ruining the podcast with no objectivity.
-
Okay Jeremey WAS one of my faves...but when he (with two idols in his pocket) and Spencer are voted out I will have no sympathy...if they are stupid enough to listen to an idiot like Steven Fishbach who thinks its a good idea to align with the three bottom feeders-low men on the totem pole...whatever you want to call them...well they will get what they deserve. If it wasn't one of the coven going home I wanted it to be Fishbach himself he was insufferable. Instead of listening to him maybe they should have voted him out...they know he's got an advantage and clearly he is untrustworthy...why, why why did they listen to him?! Kelly Wig's return was a complete misfire and its clear why....her last words basically saying she's from another era and the way they do business now just wasn't her cup of tea. Hopefully this is the last we will see of any season one returnees...it's all to different now with idols being left practically in plain view and people shifting alliances with ZERO good reason. They need some kind of brain teaser IC next week to derail Joe. LOL moment of the night was Abbie (who to her credit though has some fantastic hips as we saw during her balancing act) getting left out of the school yard pick...why couldn't we actually see the pick instead of wasting time like the first five minutes of the show as the witches coven smugly patted themselves on their backs for the Savage boot.
-
The last two episodes are a BRILLIANT case study in how to complety loose all momentum in what was an epic start to the season. After last weeks Morganfest we Michonne..probably played by a body double telling Maggie at a distance about Glen, Carol and Heath are out taking a powder. Morgan gets a two second cameo and Rosita who appeared at a distance wtih Maggie and Michonne returns for a walk on at the end with Spencer-Douche. Meanwhile Eugene who was also absent I believed was being set up as the "Doctors" love intersest and suddenly she is kissing Tara? What the hell! Finally we dont even see Rick's escape from the RV...happens off scream. Also the early focus on Deana...was making tremble we were about to get flashbacks to her backstory of founding Alexandria. Thank goodness they didn't go in that direction.
-
Poor Savage...if only they had picked Cierra for the boot (which honestly after he dismal performance at the last tribal she should have been tghe natural choice) he's still be around. Still all the smug celebrating by the bottom tier is completly stupid. Their opposition still has the numbers and the idol is gone now so there won't be much protection. Hopefully we will get a good old fashioned pagonging of the three witches. All and all though I was ready for Fishbach to go home tonight. Both he and Cierra fancy themselves as some sort of masterminds but they are just a couple of flounderers whose days are ultimatly numbered. At the reward banquet Kelly Wigglseworth managed to temporarily transform from the block of wood she has been all season to an actual participant. In other news even a mute Kass manages to be an A-hole. The ever awesome Tasha being the last woman out on the challenge was no surprise. Ms.Fox for the win!
-
Thank you voters! If Tasha my favorite player had gone home tonight I would have lost all interest in the rest of the season. With that said...a lot of strange voting there....Abbi's vote was interesting in that we never saw any hesitation on her part about voting Tasha who seemed on good terms with her during their time on Ankor tribe. Anyway...so happy to see Kass go as she cost us Woo! And Ciera and her bitch face can go next. Steven's plotting against Joe seems to have been abandoned...for good or not we shall see. There was an intersting camera shot tonight that framed Spencer, Kass and Tasha in the same frame...just their heads as they listened to the poem. You would have thought that these three might have found a way to come together and work on the same side but the gulf was just too wide. So no clue at the merge? Nobody was seen searching for it amidst the food.
-
Argh! Kass is such a scumbag...I can't believe we are going to have to sit through her sabatoging things left and right again. ... Same goes for purported "Know it all" Fischbach...he wants to target a strong player over a weaker one with no guarantee that the merge was coming....just because he got insecurity issues? This guy needs to bounce out of there and back to Rob Has A Podcast. Funny how things work out though. I was upset that Tasha had gotten seperated from the trio and she would be marked for the first boot...then to see her make the winning point was beyond awesome! I'm glad now that she didn't wind up with Savage because it might have been her instead of Woo that Kass and her goons targeted. As much as I love Woo I am Team Tasha all the way! And here I thought the producers had special love for Woo that they gave him a special after boot segment instead of the short shrift one usually gets during the credits. Come to find out it was about Terry. I was like "Hold the Phone"....his son had such a serious condition that he was on a waiting list for a transplant AND YOU WENT TO PLAY SURVIVOR?! Sorry...but Terry never should have been there in the first place if they were facing such a situation. He should have graciously stepped aside and given his spot to someone else. Oh and as for Abbie...see what a loose cannon she can be with out Tasha being there to wrangle her? If Tasha had been there I think she could have talked Abbie down from going along with Ciera's bone head plan.

Just watched now. Awesome episode...Zombie and Wolves! Love it. The saddest part of the episode was (not Glenn's death because I don't believe for a minute he's gone) was the sight of the cat that appeared to starve to death in its cage with nobody to feed it in the pet store. Yeah, I would agree with anyone who thinks they deliberatly got all the African Americans home safely as an "in your face" to the criticism they've gotten over the years for how many black characters they have offed...usually in quick sucession. Call me crazy but Sturgis seemed like a shout out to the nerdy victim in FRIDAY THE 13TH part Six that shot Jason with a paintball during a survivalist game and then ran away just like Sturgis. They seemed to be wearing the same hat...and of course the guy in the movie was next seen completly dismembered by Jason. Anway the show has been on FIRE since its return! Great run of episodes...that's why I am very very nervous if next week is an all flash back episode to Morgan's saga. He gets my vote for the most ruined character. I didn't like what they did with him in CLEAR and I don't like the way he is now. I want the Morgan from the pilot!
-
No! My favorite team out because of their own mistakes! Good bye you gorgeous sexy eye candy. As for team Alabama ease up on the celebration as you were partially handed your w in.
-
Thank you for alerting us to that link rat girl.Good to see its being picked up on what a misfire Kelly's return is becoming.
-
Are you F-ing kidding me? Why would you EVER telegraph the boot of the night in the FIRST FIVE MINUTES? The only thing missing was a flashing neon sign over Monica's head saying "First Boot", You don't need a college degree in editing to know that is an asinine idea and will sap out any suspense. It was solidified by starting the IC at 8:31 meaning they needed time to set the stage for why Spencer of Kelly would not be voted out but Monica would be. With that said...no great loss. I've seen every episode of SURVIVOR and have no memory of Monica or anything she did. As for getting mad at Kimmie for having the audacity to plunder every last clam from a vast ocean...try waggling your finger at her and see if that does any good! Speaking of Kelly I have to make an "Emperor Has No Clothes" comment. Her much vaunted return has been a dud...not an Epic Fail..but still a fail. It probably was an idea that sounded good on paper but so far its not panning out. To wit: She was one of the prime candidates for the boot and we got NOTHING from her...we didn't see her do any strategizing...zero...you wouldn't even know she was in the episode if people weren't talking ABOUT HER. When she finally surfaces at TC she would have likely remained mute if Jeff wasn't prodding. Assuming Sonya's (first SURVIVOR boot ever)still alive they should have brought her back from season 1 for all they are getting out of the first ever runner up. So happy Tanya's team had a good night. Though I am embarassed for Abi Maria's family that she would use their tragedies in such a distastefull way as to try and one up Woo when it comes to tragedies.

S27.E04: Good Old Fashioned Spit In The Face
North of Eden replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Amazing Race
I say HA! At the look on Denise's face when she got spit on. She looked like someone who was just told they have anything ranging from VD to cancer. That microlight task looked like one of the most dangerous things the race has ever done. I was wondering how many people die each year in those things. They looked like they had a zero safety margin. In what world would anyone NOT take the crochet task? It looked very easy. I hope the Trackstars don't wind up getting U-Turned after placing themselves so far back in the pack with the mishap of running around between bridges and countries. They are my favorite and two of the most charmingly gorgeous women that have ever run the race. We need some major set back for Texas and Green to get them reshuffled back to to mid or end of pack. Tired of them both being front runners every leg. -
Perfect outcome for that vote! Varner was grasping at straws trying to talk about what will happen after a merge with Woo. The team is never even going to have a shot to get to the merge if they don't keep strong players upping their chances to finally win immunity. It was truly the only outcome that made any sense. Also I realized during the vote that it didn't make any sense as to why was Abi's vote so important. Woo wasn't going to vote for himself and Tasha and Savage are too smart to keep a weak competitor around. On a shallow note Tasha sure is easy on the eyes. She's my favorite so I am glad to see her continue to help run the flailing tribe she wound up on. I could not stop laughing when they rolled the puzzle piece right onto Spencer's leg/ foot. Call me cruel but it was hysterical. In other news...I do not understand why Keith was even in the running to be brought back....he was a big ZERO in his season memorable only for vulgarly spitting all over the damn island. At the challenge he was seemingly useless. I can't believe some of the picks that got passed over in favor of bringing him back! Minimal Fishbach is always a good thing but Ciera with the invisible edit isn't. And of course Joe has to be Superman and pretty much win the first part of the challenge by himself. I hope Angkor can bounce back next week and be spared Tribal council!
