  1. B is . Whoever gets A can have the next turn.
  2. No, that's ok. There was a clue in that section of story too, but since it was Night story, we haven't been allowed to discuss it until now (per the rules. No game talk between Night X and Day X+1, only off-topic silliness like the bar. All game talk must be between Day X and Night X.) So, if "Professor Cleve" is a clue, who could it be pointing to?
  3. It also means that the bar is officially open. Belly up and pick your poisons!
  4. No. Woo got only one vote; Tasha's, which we saw inside the voting booth. If Woo'd received any more than that, we would have seen Jeff read them to stretch out the drama.
  5. And as I said above, there are several K-dramas with Spanish subtitles on Dramafever. I imagine the crossover potential there is with a telenovela loving audience.
  6. (Never mind) I'm not sure we really have enough to go on just yet.
  7. Actually, if this was Looney Tunes, Tony would be Daffy Duck to Spencer's Bugs. Kass is Elmer. And to complete the analogy, Woo is Porky, the character delegated as Daffy's sidekick.
  8. No, Woo's Bunny all the way. Just a very athletic one, which is why he stayed in place of the Bear. Normally for an F2 season (which has basically been confirmed this season is), the normal plan is Dispose of all the opposition Cull the alliance to the 4: Fox, Bear, Goat, Bunny. At F4, cut the Bunny. At the FIC, Fox and Bear battle each other, and the winner boots the loser and takes the Goat. If the Goat wins, then they're basically choosing the winner. Victory for the Fox or Bear. There are three ways this plan has gone awry Tony's jumped the gun and finished Step 2 first. Granted, part of that was because of a bigger "problem"; Spencer. He (and Tasha, yes, while she was still in the game) spoiled Step 1. So the alliance kind of had to complete Step 2 first. And with Spencer winning at F5, the alliance partially panicked. If they'd stuck with the plan, Bunny Woo should have been cut here. But Woo has the better chance of besting Spencer, thus allowing them to finally complete Step 1. The other main problem is that they don't know it's F2 this time. They seem to be operating with an F3 plan: Dispose of all the opposition Cull the alliance to the 4: Fox, Bear, Goat, Bunny (or second Goat) At FIC, Fox and Bear battle each other, and the winner boots the loser and takes the Goat(s) and Bunny Victory for the Fox or Bear. (or Bunny if the Fox/Bear is really an Ox). Again, with Step 2 completed and Spencer spoiling Step 1, Tony moved correctly on to Step 3 and eliminated the Bear. Which makes sense. Other than the opposing Fox Spencer, Bear Trish was the only person liable to garner more votes than Fox Tony. It helped that Bunny Woo is more likely than Trish to defeat Spencer in an IC. Slippery as an eel? Having nine lives, like a cat? ... Hard to kill, like a cockroach? Yeah, I like the last one. I'd use the Cat personally. Less negative connotations that way. Plus there's the "landing on his/her feet" adage bonus if they make it to FTC and/or win.
  9. PM Confirmation time! If you've got yours, detailing your side and any powers you might have, check in. Just say that you have it, and nothing more. Like this: Got my PM! Not just an example, as I do actually have mine. Looks like the bar is ready. Got the rum from before, put in some beer from my stock, and what accoutrements and supplies I could salvage from the other place.
  10. If anything, that might have helped him with the jury. He was poking fun at Public Enemy #1, Kass. Whatever ill-will Kass might have wanted to throw on Tony, doing that to her in front of them probably reversed it.
  11. It could be a victory jump. As in he was the last man standing and was celebrating beating the odds again with a flip into the water. I would need to look at the clip again to see if anyone else is still standing when that happens.
  12. I re-watched the clip, and it is hard to tell at first blush whether it's before the IC, or between IC and TC. But I'd speculate that it is post-IC. And I base that on 28 seasons of Survivor editing, and not on Spencer, but on Tony and Woo. Looking at the moment when we see Spencer holding the II, Trish is on the far right of the screen and Kass is more to the middle, with Spencer between them but closer to Kass. To Kass's left are Tony and Woo. And they are just sitting there, on the edge of their shelter, watching the women arguing, and looking somewhat exhausted. If this moment were to happen before the IC, they'd be standing and more energetic, getting ready to leave for the challenge. Or trying to stop the fight, so they can all focus on beating Spencer in the IC. And if it were closer to TC, they'd be grabbing their torches, and Tony his bag of "tricks"/idols. But they're not. They're just sitting and watching. So it has to be shortly after the IC, and the fight is because the 4-person alliance is shattering (again) because Spencer did win again.
  13. Thing is, since all of them believe he's in a constant state of lying, he can safely (safe for him) drop truth bombs like this and no one will believe him.

    Fix The Show

This would make an interesting experiment. Even moreso in 3 tribe seasons. If only one tribe has an extra player, do the other two tribes get to confer to decide who sits out? Or does the decision go the the tribe that was last at TC? And what about a 6-5-4 breakdown? Do each of the two down tribes get one pick from the 6, then the 4 get a pick from the 5? Or is there discussion like before, in which deals could be made to keep a stronger player from the 5 in the challenge? Lots of possibilities. In any case, I would also maintain the caveat that no player may sit out consecutive challenges, but add that applies even if those challenges are separated by TC. Many twists originally came from non-American versions of Survivor. Redemption Island came from the Israeli version, and many of the tribal divides came from the Belgian and Swedish versions. And the Swedish version also introduced the idea of bringing back former contestants to play again. So if TPTB are going to continue to mine international versions of Survivor for ideas, the one that I think would be most interesting to implement would be the "black vote" introduced in the Swedish version or the Black Pearl from the Filipino version (as in produced by and starring Filipino people, not just taking place in the Philippines). The "black vote" is cast by a person right after they are voted out. This vote is included with the rest the next time that tribe visits TC, and counts just as much as every other vote (unless the vote is for someone with some form of individual immunity, of course). It's basically a last chance for a Survivor to try to influence the game, other than as a juror. The Black Pearl is a similar idea, but an actual physical object. Think the 8-ball on a pool table, but solid black. As with the black vote, it's given by the person voted out to any player they choose. But the difference is, the person with a Black Pearl must bring it to the TC themself to be accounted for. Otherwise, it counts as 2 votes against them. This was paired with a Blessed or White Pearl. Again, given by the eliminated to any player of their choice, the White Pearl is the opposite of the Black and nullifies one vote against the holder. So the two pearls, in essence, cancel each other out. These were implemented in the first season of Filipino Survivor, and the second season added Blood Pearls. These red pearls were just like the black, except they counted for 2 votes (and 3 if not at TC). And again, all these Pearls had to be used the next time the holder(s) visited TC. If they were to go with the Pearls, I'd start with just the Black and White and implement them a little differently. For their first use, I'd have them be a secret. Give the winning tribe of the first IC a White Pearl back at camp after the challenge to give to one of their number without knowing what it means. Then use the Black Pearl as stated above, but without telling anyone what it means either. Then at the next challenge, reveal the existence of both pearls and what they mean to all the contestants. After that, lots of possibilities come to mind. Maybe a tribe that wins a challenge has to give a White Pearl to one member of the opposing tribe. Or maybe a Black one. Perhaps for sitting out an individual challenge, you get to rest and eat, but you also get a Black Pearl and the winner of the challenge gets a White one to give as they see fit. Perhaps all individual ICs come with a White Pearl to be given by the winner. Maybe some have a Black Pearl to be given instead or also. Maybe the person that loses the individual challenge gets a Black Pearl. Maybe Pearls of either or both colors are hidden at camp instead of HIIs. And what about having Pearls be items in the Auction, but their color is unknown until after the bidding ends. If they were to add the Blood Pearls, I'd also throw in a Gold Pearl that acts as its' counter-part. Or perhaps a Silver Pearl to counter the Blood and have a Gold Pearl be like the HII, but with the restrictions that it would only be hidden at the merge camp and that it had to be played the first TC after finding it like all the rest of the Pearls.
  15. River didn't so much attack Jayne as cut too deep on the shirt he happened to be wearing. Look again at just the shirt. It didn't have much, if anything to do with Jayne's future actions. Jayne just wore the wrong shirt that day.
  16. My question is this. Is Woo about to become the first player voted out by Gravity?
  17. I'll second this recommendation, along with another channel from the same team, Periodic Videos, which is primarily about chemistry. I don't subscribe to either channel, but I do subscribe to a third sister channel, Numberphile. Occasionally, some videos from this group of channels are cross-referenced in others, or pop up as recommendations. Which is how my attention was originally brought to this video, which is just about the charter book of the Royal Society. And this video was posted about a month before Cosmos started, so I was already aware of the Royal Society before Tyson brought up Hooke, Halley, and Newton.
  18. Not just Hulu, but there's also a sub-Hulu site called DramaFever. It mainly deals in Asian programs (K-Dramas and K-Variety, with a sprinkling of J-Drama and I think a C-Drama or two), but also has some Spanish-language programs. Plus some shows get Spanish subtitling in addition to the English. I primarily watch the big 3 K-Variety shows they have: 1 Night 2 Days, Infinite Challenge, and Running Man. But based on those, I do have a few dramas in my queue to watch. The newest of them is Emergency Couple, which I picked up because I am a fan of the lead actress, Song Ji Hyo.
