  1. This could be something that I'm totally mis-remembering a rumor I'd heard, but I thought I'd seen it posted here. If it's wrong, I'll totally admit to that. However, I also specifically remember her addressing her so-called "thyroid" issues (and the weight gain) in the comments on one of her Instagram posts, but was immediately suspicious because the type of doctor she mentioned couldn't (or shouldn't) have diagnosed her and certainly couldn't have prescribed her medicine.
  2. I seem to remember that, at the end of Victoria's 2nd season on the squad, Kelli wasn't too happy with her. I don't know if that had to do with weight gain, with whatever reason Victoria had to take a year off, or another reason. I think whether Victoria makes it back depends on if she's back in Kelli's good graces. If she is, she's got it made. If she isn't, then I don't know if she's going to make it back, especially with the caliber of girls coming in over the past couple of years. If Victoria does come back to Training Camp (and the squad), I certainly think that Kelli would have a few veterans in mind that she wants to cut and will come up with a "good" (or at least a "good enough") reason to cut them. Whether or not it's a legitimate or truthful reason will eternally up for debate. I suspect that Jalyn and Madeline S will be on the chopping block to not only "free up a spot" for Victoria, but for other reasons as well. I also think that Jalyn was cut from Show Group to make room for Victoria (and that the office visit was intended to cut Jalyn, but she didn't give Kelli a "good enough" reason to do so). I also suspect that Madeline S was cut every chance possible because she would be a direct contrast for Victoria (both tall, leggy blondes) but Madeline has a better figure and technique so Victoria would come off looking worse compared to her.
  3. I like the variety of the suits as several are very flattering for any body shape, the girls look sexy as hell and there's several one-piece suits as well. There are several I would love to get for myself (though I wouldn't look nearly as good in them). I've not been impressed with the suits that are chosen for the DCC are so skimpy they look like handkerchiefs tied together with dental floss and that's being generous in some cases. I know the swimsuits calendars are aimed more towards certain populations, but they've seemed to be . . . cheap and more down-market then they used to be. The girls themselves are in no way cheap, trashy, tacky or anything else. I leave that kind of things to the people who aim that direction instead of classy sexy.
  4. I think there was more to this scene then Kelli being mad because Jalyn left to the locker room without being told. It seemed that Kelli was looking for a reason to get mad at Jalyn or that she was looking for a more "public" reaction to Jalyn not getting Show Group then she actually got (or both).
  5. IIRC, that was the year Victoria not only made the team but Show Group as well, while Jalyn didn't. Jalyn removed herself to the locker room to deal, then came out and jumped right back into practice. Kelli called her into the office for "being unprofessional". Rumor had it that Jalyn corrected Victoria, Victoria didn't like it and went to her mom who went to Kelli and Jalyn was removed from Show Group. This was somewhat supported by a shot of a list where Jalyn's name was cross off and Victoria's was written in on the side. It was also rumored that Kelli wanted a reason to cut Jalyn due to correcting Victoria and was hoping that being cut from Show Group would give her the reason to do so (probably due to an "inappropriate" reaction for the loss of Show Group). Jalyn not providing the expected reaction didn't give Kelli the ammo she needed/wanted. That may be why Kelli wasn't happy with Jalyn between the time of the Show Group announcement and the office visit.
  6. Supposedly, Brennan and Hannah were also offered the chance to take a year off and come back the next, but, no matter which decision they made, it would have been held against them by Kelli (and possibly Charlotte and Judy). If they chose to attend Training Camp, they ran the risk of getting cut (which happened, and I don't buy the reasons Kelli chose) or they chose not to come that year and come back the next, they ran the risk of Kelli deciding they, as vets, weren't committed enough to the team (or whatever BS she chooses when she feels someone isn't living the DCC 24/7 and making it the entire focus of their world).
  7. I agree with most of it except Dayton but would add Victoria to it. If Dayton didn't have what it takes, Victoria certainly didn't. Only difference was that Victoria and Cassie got the chance to prove themselves while Dayton never did. But that's just my opinion.
  8. That's right. Now that I look at the whole situation, it just seemed that there was probably more to the whole "you're too heavy at the moment and need to lose weight" conversation, Dinesha went home, thought about it, looked at her child (especially if it was a girl) and thought "What lesson am I teaching her if they don't want me at a healthy weight and possibly harming myself to make the team?" (or something to that effect) and decided to withdraw.
  9. IIRC, she was around 5'11" or 6' so 150 would be a good weight for her and, since she was built a little differently then most of the girls in that she looked to be "bigger boned" then the rest (which IS a thing so an allowance should have been made for her build), she could have lost the few extra pounds she was sporting (which was certainly less then 5) and toned up, she could have been a rock star on the squad. However, I think there was certainly more going on then just showing her weight on television and an office visit. There HAD to be more (and I think it had to have been during the office visit) because most people wouldn't have left for just a brief conversation about their weight.
  10. Kelli knows absolutely NOTHING about making sure a girl is not only healthy but maintains a healthy weight. We've heard from girls who said that they, and others, have tried everything (including drugs that may be less then legal) to lose weight to the point that a few have ended up in the hospital because of it. We've even heard that Kelli knows about it to a degree and is okay with it as long as she has plausible deniability if questioned. In uniform fittings, Kelli talks a good game about how each girl has a unique body that needs to have a "custom-fit" uniform but then turns around and says that "Oh, you're the same height as so-and-so so you need to weigh the same" without taking into account how they're built among other things.
  11. I don't get her popularity either though I think part of it is that some of her supporters think she was being bullied for a lot of it and refused to see/understand why many of us didn't like her. There are plenty of girls with long legs and any color of hair Kelli could want who can dance and are flashy so even that isn't so special to me. There is literally nothing that Victoria can bring to the table on her own at the moment that would get me to think she is anything then an average dancer who only got where she was because of who she knows. I don't get them either. It's like, did you not see what they literally showed us her first time in Training Camp then practically hid her the second time to avoid a second fallout from people? It's astounding what people will do to avoid seeing what's right in front of their eyes.
  12. Oh, I'll hold Victoria to these standards, but, when it comes to Kelli, she'll hold Victoria to whatever standard Kelli wants to hold her to. Kelli isn't exactly known for hold tight to the standards and is consistently inconsistent when it comes to holding girls to said standards. It seems that, for the most part, Kelli holds average standards for most girls, VERY high standards (almost unattainable for some) for the girls she doesn't like, and lower then average standards (or as low as Charlotte will let her) for the girls she loves.
  13. The coming back even worse part isn't a mere rumor. We saw it in auditions the next year. She HAD the training in kick-line at Training Camp the year before but she was practically hanging off the other girls and her flexibility sucked. That tells me she either didn't do anything to prepare (like stretch, practice) for whatever reason or she didn't think she needed to. We've see girls who get booted out of camp and come back the next year hungry and better then ever and then we see girls, like Kaime, who get booted out and come back either the same as they left the year before or, like Kaime, WORSE then wonder why they don't get in. For the ones who come back, one of the few things I agree with Kelli on (and she's said this in one of the earlier seasons) is that, if you're going to come back, you'd better be amazing (to paraphrase) because they already have a baseline of what they want and where you were the year before. I agree her dancing wasn't good enough to get her in at all, but I think they liked her enough to give her a chance (and wouldn't be surprised if they did it, at least partially, as a ratings stunt).
  14. I think she could have but would likely have been cut the next year based on lack of improvement throughout the year and attitude. The attitude comes from the rumor that she didn't really put in the effort when she was brought in mid-Camp because she thought she was a lock for the squad and the fact that she had ALL that time in Training Camp to learn and improve (especially the kick line) yet came back worse dance-wise and flexibility-wise the next year.
  15. But they got the DRAMA they wanted despite getting the heat. Kelli doesn't care about getting heat. She's gotten it before and given it the metaphorical middle finger (the whole situation with Victoria and not only "flunking" auditions but still making it and the favoritism/nepotism in recent years and Cassie with the "flunking" of auditions but still making it and the bad attitude/chewing people out/telling on them in previous years come immediately to mind) so she doesn't really care as long as she can put who she wants on the team.
  16. I seem to remember that, in the past, management pretty much knew who "made the team" by the time finals were over so would take those 36 girls into camp plus a few extra just in case (maybe 2-4? or something like that) someone didn't work out. The 45-50 girls in Training Camp only came about with the show. There's absolutely no reason for that many girls in Training Camp except for drama. We don't see a lot of vets get cut DURING Training Camp and any who leave (or get cut) during the year usually leave AFTER the season ends so . . .
  17. Whether or not Lisa comes back depends on if she's healthy enough. Back/neck injuries are serious business and, with all the hairography/jump splits/bouncing around they do, I think Lisa would be wise to have a doctor's all-clear before she comes back and be VERY careful thereafter. As for Victoria, she would have to come back lean as a greyhound and twice as good as the rookies/second years to make it back (at least in my opinion), but that might take a miracle given how heavy she looked and how clunky she danced at a recent Jenn class. However, TPTB love her and that will be all it takes for her to get back into Training Camp (where she'll get "the respect she deserves to lose the weight" and make it back onto the squad). She should have to earn it like everyone else, but can't/won't with Kelli in management/leadership. If Victoria wants to prove she's an amazing dancer worthy of being on an NFL dance team, she should audition elsewhere (and, if she makes it, stay there for a couple of years to get experience) where there's no question about whether management handed her a spot or she earned it. I said the same thing about Cassie when she auditioned.
  18. Cassie did seem to learn when to keep her mouth shut about most things (unless it benefitted her or she was egged on by her mother). Victoria doesn't seem to have learned that particular skill (and especially how it would benefit her during interviews or life in general). She seems to be a "stream of consciousness" type of person who also doesn't have a filter. She says what she thinks whether it's appropriate or not and wonders why people are looking at her funny. Sadly, unless/until someone corrects her, she won't learn.
  19. I wish I could disagree, but I'm afraid this will happen as well. Then, if it happens, it won't be because she's displayed ANY of the traits that Kelli says she wants in a Group Leader/2nd Group leader (maturity, dance skills, leadership ability, etc.), but for reasons that have nothing to do with that (or because Victoria earned it), but everything to do with the fact that she would only have happened because Kelli wanted it to.
  20. WOW! Is it just me or did no one in those videos have any energy? I know the choreography is average to bad in and of itself but STILL! There are some girls who can make choreography like this look amazing and some that can make it look bad while most of the girls just make it look somewhere in the middle. Karissa seems to just be marking time in some cases and not finishing out the moves.
  21. From what I remember seeing and hearing about Taylor (including some comments made by Kelli and Judy), she supposedly had everything BUT kicks and that she was one of those who was a bit surprised to have made Training Camp. I also think there was something else going on and that Kelli was looking for a reason to cut Taylor. Not sure if it was her kicks (especially given that others have had kicks just as bad but some made the team and others have gotten cut) or that she may have had a bit of an attitude problem.
  22. That was my thought as well. If she had come in, worked her ass off and kicked butt, I think she could have made the squad. She was already handicapped by coming in late and should have spent as much time and effort as possible to prove to them she deserved it. I almost believe the rumor given her attitude at auditions the next year. If I'd been cut, I would had worked my tail off to prove to Kelli she made a mistake cutting me and come back stronger then ever. Instead, Kaime came back WORSE. She KNEW how to do the kick line, she was literally TRAINED in it the previous year. Yet, she looked like she'd never done it before. I wouldn't be surprised if she thought she just had to show up and she'd be brought back to Training Camp, no matter what she looked like at auditions.
  23. Rumor has it that, when Kaime was brought back, she thought she didn't have to work as hard to catch up and that she had a "guaranteed" spot on the team. She didn't realize she was a ratings gimmick that season. On top of that, at the next audition, she actually seemed to have REGRESSED from Training Camp (poor posture, horrible kicks, etc.) and seemed to think that she deserved a spot in Training Camp despite that.
  24. I don't think so. IIRC, his post solely targeted Victoria and that the "rumor" would be more hurtful to HER, not Madeline.
  25. It may just be coincidence and change, but I do remember hearing that someone not on this site mentioned it (maybe Meredith Oden's mom?) and that they were a former DCC. Whether or not it's true is another matter and something that Kelli will never admit to even if it IS true and something she subscribes to.
