Ron thought it was just so hilarious that he decided to share that part of the script: Will is my favorite character on this stupid show and he's relegated to this garbage. And now....

Yeah, it's been moved up to either August 31st or September 1st with all the schedule changes, and I'm done with the show once they are.

In all seriousness, though, is this not further evidence that people should stop asking Will to be their best man? TV Guide released more spoilers this afternoon, so I'm pretty sure this is everything for the week of the 20th: Monday, July 20th - Gabi delivers tragic news to Jake. An unexpected funeral stirs up mixed emotions. A medical crisis threatens to derail Ciara and Ben's wedding. Ben has an unsettling dream about Jordan. Tuesday, July 21st - Hope and Allie help Ciara get ready for the wedding. Ben gets a surprising phone call. Claire swears to Belle and Shawn that she's innocent. Xander sets the record straight with Sarah. Wednesday, July 22nd - Rafe walks Ciara down the aisle. Jake invites Gabi to the wedding as his date. Belle realizes Claire lied to her. Ben and Ciara's wedding celebration ends with a stunning twist. Thursday, July 23rd - Chaos erupts at Ben and Ciara's wedding. Sarah is impressed with Xander's heroics. Allie and Lani fear for the health of their babies. Gabi and Jake grow closer. Friday, July 24th - Rafe makes a decision about Allie's offer. Claire lands on the hot seat. Also, y'all, I have to admit, I love seeing Ivan back. He fits into this very specific time frame in which I watched Days when I was a kiddo, so I'm hoping his scenes will actually be fun to watch!

So, I don't think I ever got around to posting this earlier (MY BAD, Y'ALL) partially because I thought the VK news wouldn't break for another month or so, but I wonder if it might end up being relevant here: She read with RSW - who, by all indications, was still filming up until the production hiatus - as part of her audition process. Would the show actually go there by pairing Ben and Allie at some point?

I don't think the timing works out for Rope to leave together. Rafe should be done next month, while Kristian filmed episodes that will have Hope on screen through October.

Here are the remaining spoilers from DR: Monday, July 13 Roman gives Eric an unexpected gift before the wedding. Tuesday, July 14 Gabi accuses Chad of being interested in Gwen. Wednesday, July 15 Ivan returns to help his beloved "Madame"! Thursday, July 16 Marlena warns Will and Sonny that Sami is in town; Gabi and Vivian reel after finding out the truth about Jake Friday, July 17 Claire, Allie and Ciara celebrate Ciara's impending nuptials. Sonny was upset about Justin moving on so quickly for like 2-3 episodes, pretty early on after the time jump. He got over it on Thanksgiving, when the family was gathering for dinner. I don't remember his brothers being mentioned along those lines at all; it's a shame that no one gets to be upset or hold grudges when it would make stories way more interesting imo.

I believe so, yes. He was ultimately employed by Corday Productions. It'll be interesting to see who else might go, because from what I understand the script editor has been there for a very long time, for instance. She happens to be fond of cutting family scenes and interactions. There's a whole list of people responsible for the mess they're in, who are also quite expensive and are possibly about to be out. I feel terribly for anyone who loses their job, especially right now, it's just that there were a lot of names I'd expected to see ahead of Meng's.

Oh gosh, sorry about that, I didn't even check over there! I couldn't tell you what happened, the only other thing he's made news for recently was shading the idea of using blow up dolls as shows resume production. He was very popular among the cast at Days. I'm guessing it's a cost-saving move, because he was infinitely more competent at his job than the other Co-EP, Albert Alarr. Alarr is responsible for translating what's written into what's seen on screen, and just for example, Ron had to draw him a diagram of the Mother's Day accident to get him to understand what had happened and how to produce/present it. And there was still so much confusion expressed by viewers, it was that bad. He's also been responsible for stories involving gay characters getting cut short, their scenes being watered down, episodes involving gay characters not getting submitted for Emmy consideration, as well as the terrible day-to-day production values you see on the show (think lighting, blocking, etc. - he also directs, with equally terrible results). I'm flabbergasted and can only guess that there has to be more action coming, that's how shocking this news is. Edit - I should add some of what Meng has been responsible for. He thought of the DOOL app, the little digital series, I think he was at least partially involved in contract negotiations, and BTS items generally.

This is only acceptable if they're planning to clean house entirely, because IMO he wasn't anywhere near the biggest issue. Firing the gay Co-EP while apparently holding on to the bigoted one (at least from where things stand tonight) is.........uhhhhhhhhhh.........a choice, Days. 🙃 😬
