Well that's finally over. I've watched Beth bitch about not being able to have children for how many years now, yet she treats her "adopted" son terrible AND SHE HAS A NEPHEW. I don't have kids but I dote on my nephews and nieces. Has Beth ever shown any interest in Tate? Have they ever had a scene together? Or maybe Kayce made it clear she's not allowed to have any influence on poor Tate. Taylor Sheridan really did Wes Bentley wrong. Turned him into a sniveling loser who was murdered and forgotten. Did the actor know what character arc he signed up for? What's with the spouses accepting these secret plans without questions? Why would Monica and Rip be ok with their spouses refusing to share details of their plan? Monica just sat there in the meeting with Rainwater hearing the details for the first time and she was ok with it. I'm no financial expert but I'm guessing this whole inheritance taxes and sale of the ranch storyline is ridiculous, but we get the Battlestar Galactica ending with the two peoples coming together. Do these cowboys have any severance payments, retirement plans, 401k's or anything after working their whole lives for this family? Or did they get a handshake and an envelope of cash? After a lifetime of being a prisoner with a job, Lloyd is like, hey, if you ever need to exploit me again, I'll be there. And Rip still doesn't have an identity.

I really love how this season is systematically showing us how high the stakes are for each character. They all need the restaurant to be successful for different reasons. Tina really needs the job because she struggles financially. Marcus really needs this job to be a safe space after the death of his mother. Richie needs to prove to his daughter that he's a successful professional. Sydney just leased an apartment and needs the financial security. Natalie is having a baby and is concerned about her financial future as well as the restaurant's. And Uncle Jimmy sunk a lot of money into it and wants to make his money back. Everyone else (maybe with the exception of Marcus) is concerned that the restaurant is not making any money, but Carmy's concern is not financial but creative. He wants to be the best chef at the best restaurant and get a star. As such, he keeps doing things that cost more money, thus heightening the financial concerns of everyone around him. I was glad that the Computer hit Carmy over the head with the finances, but I'm not sure Carmy really understands how much everyone else is depending on the success of the restaurant. He's in his own head with his own issues.

These women are all so much prettier without all that makeup. I was really struck when Zaynab was putting on her makeup and there was SO MUCH contour and SO MUCH makeup. They're at a resort, outside, in the water. Why do they need all of that?

My favorite line was Kevin and Randall saying that Jack was oddly jacked for a dad in the 90s 😀

I just happened to be listening to the latest episode of "Ty and that Guy" which is a podcast with Wes Chatham from The Expanse. Wes discussed how, while filming the first season of The Expanse in Canada, his wife went into labor in LA. Shockingly, Wes didn't have to QUIT HIS JOB. The director and producers were all very supportive. They allowed him to finish shooting his scene quickly, and then helped him get a flight home. He was there for the delivery. I know this show is all about the drama, but given that there are directors and actors and producers and agents and casting agents all associated with this show, you'd think they'd have a better sense of how being an actor actually works.

I just binged both seasons of this show and LOVED it! I'm sad I have to wait for season 3. I kept getting serious Buffy the Vampire Slayer vibes from this show. Season 1 was very "Willow almost ends the world because of her grief," and now I think we're seeing all the "potentials" enter the fight. I hope UA handles it better than the last season of Buffy.

I'm a relatively new Bachelorette viewer, and I know we don't see all of the conversations, but why are the men supposed to bare their souls and share their secrets, while Tayshia never shares anything about herself? Assuming they're telling the truth, these men aren't just sharing their darkest secrets with her, they're sharing with the whole world, on camera. And she doesn't reveal anything. I hope that at some point, before sharing their trauma, they have conversations about where they grew up, where they went to school, their favorite color, if they have a pet... normal conversations.

Refugees are lawfully admitted to the US and get green cards and work authorization. I'm so sick of tv shows getting these basic things wrong.

That's not how expedited removal works.

I thought the whole show had a definite Scooby Doo vibe and was just waiting for Ward's "And I would have gotten away with it if not for those darned kids."

As Peter and Madi were talking about Uluru and how it was formed around 550 million years ago, I couldn't help but wonder if Madison was thinking, that's not possible, the Earth was created 6,000 years ago.

I agree with this. I was raised strict Catholic and remember even as a little girl, the idea of going to heaven FOREVER was really disturbing. I couldn't imagine doing anything (Mom said we'd be worshiping God) for eternity. I'm not a patient person and I always want to know what comes next. My mother explained that in heaven there is no concept of time, so it doesn't feel like eternity. However, my idea of heaven was that I'd get to talk to all the people I've ever wanted to and learn all the answers to all of the questions I've ever had. So Chidi meeting Patty was perfect.

Are you even allowed to pay by check at a restaurant? And how is writing a check going to prove he has the funds to cover dinner? I can write a check for a million dollars but it doesn't mean I have that money in my account. It made no sense.

What surprised me about the convenience store scene was that no one recognized Kevin. He was the Manny. Now he's starring in a big movie. But no one in the store noticed that. Same thing with the conversation with the soldier's wife. Yes Zoe is dating a white man, but she's also dating a celebrity. How was that not part of the conversation?

Actually Cole is also breaking the law for hiring her. I agree, this show is not doing as badly as other shows.
