I know that I've mentioned the woman at my gym who had WLS 10+ years ago, did great the first couple of years, but is now creeping into Dr. Now territory --- butt wings and all. Of the dozen or so people I've known who had WLS, exactly 1 has kept the weight off.

Yup. Athleta says their 3x is the same as women's size 26. I wore a 24 (and was stress-testing the seams) at 5'6" 275. Edit to clarify... I'm agreeing with you. At 4" shorter and 50+ pounds heavier, there's no way she wears a 3x unless she is REALLY stress-testing that fabric.

If what I've seen published as her measurements is true, she's not a 3x. The waist on Athleta's 3x leggings is 47 (holy fuck, that's bigger than my hips!) And hips for a 3x is 53. Supposedly Twit's waist is 51 and hips are 60. Damn, she's almost as big around as she is tall.

YES. Shitney's friend Ashley is proof of this. Ashley is obese and yet has a man (I've looked at her social media and he's not bad looking) AND a baby. So gosh, Twit, if it's not obesity, whatever could it be that's keeping you single? 🙄

I ran the numbers through a BMI calculator. I was kind, and put in 325 (when we all know she's at least 350). At 325, 5'2" , her BMI would be 60, which qualifies as super morbidly obese. Sorry if this is a repeat post --- I was experiencing technical difficulties earlier.

Well, the science part of the written NASM exam would probably do her in. Anatomy and physiology... these gave me nightmares when I was studying for the NASM exam. I'm sure she can get certified by a certification mill, though.

It's part of her adolescence. Pre-teen girls (and maybe boys too, don't know, never been a boy) do that crap. They make up a vocabulary that only the "cool" kids are allowed to use. Also, it keeps the adults from knowing what they are talking about. Yet more evidence that she is "stuck" at age 12.

I hear ya. Fortunately I was ahead of my age cohort academically, so I was in 7th grade at 11, and many of the other 7th grade girls were getting their first flow. And I had a hysterectomy at 20 because of ovarian teratomas. Sometimes just for fun I add up all the $$ I saved on birth control, tampons, etc between the ages of 20 and 50. It's not insubstantial 😄

So. Whitney is going to wind up being bedbound, "bathed" by Buddy with a garden hose on the back porch. But how will she pay Buddy? Well, don't most of Dr. Now's patients receive disability? I'm sure she can pay him out of that. Or maybe Glenn and Babs can pay him.

When I was 90+ pounds heavier than I am now, I couldn't sit like a normal person. Couldn't cross my legs except man style (ankle on opposite knee.) So bingo.
