It seems they put together the next epi clips in a way to not really give away anything or look like something it is not!
-
On second viewing I liked his epi more, it had a lot of dialogue to pay attention to! The good: Jamie keeping his emotions in check, but barely holding back his excitement to see his son. Claire being so supportive, since it was paining her that he will never see Brianna! Counting the kisses! The bad: Fade to black! John's breathing when he is sick! Claire moaning when she is in the tub & Jamie's cringey dialogue ! This kid doesn't look like Jamie either.
-
He answered that when Claire asked him with a "yes"! I would guess that Willie thinks Jamie yelled that just to save him, but it will come up later, is my guess as a reality check. Claire only loses patients of no significance!
-
I think they just tried to show us in just a few episodes(301, 302), how Frank knew that Claire wasn't letting Jamie go, from her heart, her bed, & how they would never resume the marriage they had once had. Remember this show isn't always subtle! Isn't sex one of the first things to go in an unhappy marriage? (NO personal experience here, long time married, still having sex )
-
Well the show often leaves us with lots of interpertations!
-
MY take on the show relationship was that, because they got those twin beds, & Frank had that meltdown by the fireplace, & then got himself a gf. I am speaking strickly about TvClaire, TvFrank, TvJamie. ( I do know I am in the book thread). Question-in the books do Jamie & Claire have a convo about John's sexuality?
-
I think it's unusual that Jamie hasn't talked to Claire about John, because they tell each other everything, I got that from the show! However when Claire first meets John in Jamaica you can tell from her face that she knows John is in love with Jamie, & now when he spills that info about Jamie offering himself you see she doesn't know that bit either. Maybe they are having difficulty discussing their relationships with other people with each other-because the other conversation they haven't had is that Frank had a girlfriend, & they lived a sexless marriage! I saw Claire as so insecure when she first returned, at least she has regained her confidence that Jamie loves her & only her!
-
As a watcher first I got exactly that out of the show- Jamie had nothing else to offer but himself, & he's obviously learned that THAT was a valuable trade item over the years! I think though when he offered it he hoped that John was honorable enough to say no, & he was right!
-
I was thinking that Claire is blaming John for putting Jamie at that Helwater job which led to him having a child ( that he cannot claim), so whether she is jealous that there is another kid (besides hers & Jamie's), or feels so bad for Jamie since he didn't get to raise any of them! I don't get that she is homophobic at all. Although she did start off quite bitchy!
-
I was sure it would come from there, since anytime I've thought the dialoque was indeed a bit cheesy -it usually came straight from the book! That scene could have been so much better-to start why was Jamie in his shirt still??? And the black out came long before 1000 kisses...
-
I thought the book readers wanted all those cheesy lines from the book?? (Haven't read the book yet-is it in the book?). Episode 304
-
When Jamie was leaving Helwater, he asked John to look out for Willie & be a role model, & he offered himself up sexually to John. John refused & turns out he was going to marry Isabel (Willie's aunt), & they were going to rasie him anyway! And I think the exact opposite about the hair-it's a million times better down, than tied back-that's when the bangs look so bad.
-
Overthinking again? Oh maybe it wasn't you, LOL! Since dirty, bloody, unshaven Jamie is the hottest, this is another thing I've been handwaving away, because irl, he'd have to be fresh out of the shower.
-
I need to put my captions on next time, because John was using words I’ve never heard of.. My hubby had no funny remarks this week so I am guessing he thought this one was a snoozefest!
-
Did John just tell Claire that he could have had Jamie? ONYD- John! Everytime Claire & Jamie see John Claire learns there’s something Jamie’s forgotten to tell her- I think that’s why she is always uncomfortable around him!
-
This was me-over there, I have not read Drums yet, so I start posting over there, but there are so many more of you over here that it is interesting ( it's kinda hard to not be spoiled).

I am questioning the amount of time that has gone by though as Herr Meuller asked Claire if she had grandchildren & she said “no”, so Fergus & Marsali haven’t had their baby yet? That is one long pregnancy? Or perhaps they haven’t heard word yet?
-
I liked all those episodes as well, & I didn’t expect to as Jamie & Claire were apart but I liked they way they did each episode with a theme instead of matching timelines. Both Sam & Cait were great at showing their characters grief & longing for each other.
-
I agree Jamie's face was everything when he saw Murtagh! And Claire's joy too!!!!
-
The producers have made a point to say they can’t control the weather, so I am not sure the seasons always line up right with the story, but I did see a bit of snow in the mountains so I think it is late fall/ winter, & Claire mentioned that the pig was to be a Christmas pork chop so that must be coming up soon?
-
They did- it was 2. Sometimes I forget how violent this show is until I am recommending it to friends, & a few times recently I had to say-don't watch it to a few that I know can't take that kind of darkness.
-
Yes, this to countrygirl….the best post ever!
-
They have a set of candlesticks- at one point Claire looked up at the shelf & noticed there was only 1 up there, as Jamie had the other one!
-
My guess is the last episode was early 1768, & now it’s the end of that year?
-
Well aren't we all the silversmith's wife when it comes to Jamie? My guess is he wants a new ring made too. Lol, my husband said " Poor Claire she doesn't have Tv so she can't watch Outlander tonight!" Loved how Jamie immediately ran to her & hugged her! Also Herr Meuller- it was the Europeans that brought diseases to the natives that killed them not the other way around!
