  1. I'm not altogether sure about that. Actors do tend to enjoy playing villains more than heroes, but she's said several times that her favorite thing about Emma is that she always tries to do the right thing. So I don't know how much she'll relish playing Emma if she does go too dark, since she really seems to love Emma's goodness and gets so excited when good things happen for Emma. She posted a lot of messages on Twitter last night about a movie she did and two links to Oscar articles by a friend. And a retweet of an Emma the Savior picture a friend tweeted. Not one peep about that promo. Given the hate she gets on Twitter pretty much anytime she mentions the show, she might just have sworn off talking about it anymore. I wouldn't blame her a bit. But I found it interesting that during a rare Twitter flurry, she didn't mention that promo. I'm probably reading too much into it.
  2. I could totally see the latter scenario happening -- if it were some other, non-Regina-obsessed show. But, of course, it's These Writers, This Show. So it will be the former scenario. CS will get only some random hugs and kisses, because they know that will be good enough for most of the CS shippers. They can save what passes for the show's emotional development for their true relationship love, Regina/Emma. It could be some sort of mental break, or perhaps simply over-caffeination, but I actually feel giddy this morning. I feel free. I no longer have any emotional attachment to the show. I can just laugh at the predictable, badly written absurdity of it all. Pharrell is singing "Happy" in my head. It's awesome.
  3. Great to hear, Selina K! I look forward to reading the more realistic take on pioneer life. I loved the Little House books as a kid, but I know now life wasn't nearly so wholesome!
  4. But then they gave her the post death flashback of being impregnated and dumped, and made Eva the real villain for not letting her pass off the baby as Leopold's. So not even Cora escaped their woobification.
  5. Yeah. I just want to pat them and say, "Oh, honey, bless your heart." Because it's not going to be Hook. I cannot believe CS fans still think the show cares about CS payoff after 4x11. CS is barely an afterthought in promotion. They'd be touting the hell out of the CS love story if it were important to the story. But I guess hope springs eternal.
  6. They say a lot of things that don't happen. Like Emma fighting for Hook, for example. They've been pushing Emma/Regina and their growing relationship HARD with promotion. 4x11 showed clearly they're more into exploring that than CS. If you think it will be Hook and not Regina to turn Emma from darkness, I think you're in for a big disappointment
  7. Oh, I'm sure she ditches him and immediately runs to Regina.
  8. I actually laughed at that promo. It's gotten so bad, that's all I can do. Obviously, Regina will be the one who saves Emma from going dark. There’s not even any question about that. It will happen. Hook protecting Emma’s heart will be exactly like A&E’s line about Emma fighting for Hook: A fake-out spoiler that never happens. It will be ALL Regina. Because only Regina understands her.
  9. Glad to hear it's good! I guess I'll get my hands on it eventually….
  10. Has anybody read Pioneer Girl, the new Laura Ingalls Wilder biography? I was waiting to see if I got it for Christmas or my birthday, and now it's out of stock everywhere, it seems!
  11. At least Adam doesn't support the use of "cliterference."
  12. LOL. He has reason to be a bit paranoid there. I also enjoyed his "That's either a wounded bull or Porthos." Porthos sure does get hurt a lot. I had to roll my eyes at the bad guy (I cannot remember either of his names) letting Constance and D'Artagnan hang around and natter at him. Like he wouldn't have had them locked in a room with the rest of the courtiers. Or killed. But they got the Main Cast Exception. Oh, yeah, Marguerite is getting clued in on what's up with Anne and Aramis. Anne thankfully remembered she was there before things got too out of hand. I'm glad that Anne and Constance are friends. I so hope Rochefort is exposed at the end of the season and meets a grim fate. I don't fancy him continuing as the main antagonist.
  13. I hate Twitter. I wish that wasn't Adam and the writing staff's primary interaction with fans.
  14. Jane Espenson seemed to find Scott's tweet amusing and chimed in.
  15. Some celebrities make rude gestures so the paparazzi can't sell the photos they take of them easily.
  16. I know if I tweeted some of the things he tweeted while presenting myself as a representative of my company, and my bosses found out, I would get at least a talking-to. And my company isn't particularly strict about that sort of thing.
  17. Yet he keeps doing it, and I know Adam has been made aware of some of his tweets -- so he must not be getting any blowback from it from on-high. It seems wildly unprofessional to me, but maybe the TV-writing biz is different.
  18. I don't know if any other fandoms bother to tweet to him anymore, but he's pretty much always ignored anybody who wasn't SQ. He's retweeted and laughed at tweets making fun of Sean/Robin and Colin/Hook. Clearly he doesn't give a fuck about appearing neutral or respecting the other fandoms. It's SQ and SQ only.
  19. I think my response is better off censored for the faint of heart.
  20. It's 4.17 based on the director who was spotted on set by Katmtan. His name is the one listed on the title page for 4.17. Can't remember his name off the top of my head.
  21. She's aggressively anti-Hook and always adding in gratuitous digs. I'm shocked they used a CS photo with the blurb. Must have been chosen by the layout person w/o Natalie knowing.
