I have a theory about how they may destroy the darkness once & for all, but it's a little informed by the premiere, so I'll wait to post it til after. But it's kind of a riff on a theory I had earlier, just flipped. I do wonder if there will be a time Regina will try to "destroy" Emma (that's the word Emma uses when she gives Regina the dagger, not kill). They do like to bookend things. ETA: So the pink roses return, only they're darker now. The darker the rose, the darker Emma gets?

A perfectly logical conclusion! Don't know about Emma, but Hook came close to killing Rumple with Dreamshade. I will add that there is no beer garden in the ep. Either they cut that scene or it was for another ep.

I hate that article so much. NA is such an Evil Regal. A&E clearly go with the theory that if they say something is true enough, people will believe it, even though they haven't shown it. Or it's so true in A&E's head that they don't realize they haven't ACTUALLY SHOWN IT.

Alas, no. Don't get me wrong. Tables will be flipped over the Regina-ness of some things. But despite the fact that some things annoyed me more than the S4 premiere, I liked this ep more than the S4 premiere. Man, that Zimbio article had an agenda.

I actually do not even remember the knitting line, so I can't help you out there! From filming pics in spoiler thread: Why are Merlin and Nimue (?) dressed like they're in a biblical epic? (I assume it's a flashback.)

Arthur's motivation/goal is revealed in the premiere, though there may be aspects we don't yet know, or he may pick up more goals along the way.

LOL. We needed you, because I completely & 100% forgot! Hmmm. There is certainly a lot of Regina focus, though she seems more angry than guilty. Or angry about feeling guilty. Or just being Regina in her usual pique. I may lose on a technicality since I specified the type of Regina focus. Curse my specificity! I think judgment will probably have to wait until everyone sees it.

Are we talking 18-49 ratings? I think 2.2 for the premiere, will dwindle to a 1.5 for the midseason finale.

Regina's line there wasn't actually bad at all. Nor did I think it was particularly sassy. I'm kind of surprised people singled out that line TBH. There were much more "sassy" lines elsewhere. The scene bugged me, though. I will say The Apprentice starts the episode alive…. It's not soapy. It's REALLY COOL. I don't give them props for much these days, but I give them mad props for this. I mean the Dark One in general.

I posted this earlier in the Spoilers Only thread, but the mods decided it should go here instead. I was able to see the ep thanks to a friend. A few thoughts: *I liked it more than I expected. Expect the worst & anything else is a pleasant surprise, right? LOL. As a Captain Swan shipper, I was pretty happy. As a Regina hater, I rolled my eyes & was very table-flippy because of some of the tongue baths & things to do with her. *Hook is VERY proactive and in the ep quite a lot. He has the major role in keeping Emma from doing a Very Bad Thing when they finally find her. *There’s a wonderful Captain Cobra scene that’s second only to the previously mentioned scene as my favorite scene. Something that happens with Emma, Hook & Henry sets the latter two up to play an important role in helping Emma that if not paid off at the end of the arc will piss me off to no end. (We’re talking lack of payoff to the Hook’s heart arc in 4x11 level of pissed off.) *Hook & Regina are NOT friendly with each other in this ep. *I like Once’s Merida much more than “Brave” Merida. I was shocked how much I liked her. But she reveals something that I think a lot of “Brave” fans won’t be happy about. *The link between the Dark One and Camelot is actually super-clever and something I’ve never seen anybody speculate about. Expect a bunch of OMG!!!!!! reactions in live tweeting. It is revealed very early in the ep. *I think David had only one, maybe two, lines in the ep. Mostly he’s in the background looking concerned. *Merlin, please be less cryptic with children. WeeEmma is adorable but very confused by the strange usher. *There is no time travel. I don’t know why some reviewers have mentioned that. There is a time JUMP. *There is no magic coming from Zelena’s baby. *JMo is great and chilling as Dark Swan. And she has eyebrows, huzzah! *“Again?” Snow says at one point, echoing my thoughts and no doubt the thoughts of many others.

I don't feel a bit bad cracking on the poster. It's TERRIBLE SHODDY work. For that to be put out by professionals is embarrassing.

The movie scene takes place in 1989.

I think I actually physically recoiled from that poster. It's awful. Truly embarrassing. They're owned by DISNEY, for God's sake! Though I expect it's truth in advertising. Dark Swan, Regina & Rumple will eat up screen time, then Merida & Arthur. The rest of the regulars will walk through the background, out of focus, from time to time.

The magazine did say that they only use original photos on the cover, so if Colin is available, it will at least be a new shoot.

I have seen various theories about who they'll pair Mulan with (it seems obvious it's Mulan): Aurora, Merida, Ruby or Lily. I don't think it's Aurora because she and Philip had a TLK. I had been thinking since last season that if they brought Mulan back, they'd pair her with Lily, since she's an original character and wouldn't affect an established Disney character. But with the announcement about Ruby coming back, I'm now thinking it will be her. I love both characters, and Mulan deserves better than Lily, so I support Red Warrior!

I don't see an issue with mild snark about a hat someone chose to wear. Much different than insults about someone's weight or looks, at least IMO. And we snark about things people say, too, which is also a choice they make. IMO that's even more a comment on their intrinsic person than something like "wow that's an ugly hat."

It may be a magazine nobody has ever heard of, but Colin finally won something. I love JMo's outfit. It's different & interesting, but classy. And it's better than wearing a dead crow on one's head.
